Summary/Objective
**This position is remote but will require that the employee lives in or near the LA area.**
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for turning leads into qualified opportunities by partnering with Marketing and the Director of Sales for Region 1 to create and execute program and outbound lead generation campaigns. This position will focus on sales prospecting, as well as closing opportunities directed by the Director of Sales. The SDR will be expected to report on qualification and call activity and stay thoroughly informed on all products and the controlled environment agriculture industry in general. urban-gro desires a collaborative and energetic individual that can contribute to the sales and marketing teams, work in a dynamic environment, deliver messaging and product feedback to the marketing and product organization while working proactively to drive overall sales performance.

- Leveraging such tools as Salesforce.com and CannaBiz Media, along with tradeshow leads, partners, LinkedIn, and social media to compile lists of prospective customers and identify key contacts for use as sales leads.
- Effectively articulating, marketing, and selling urban-gro’s products and services.
- Qualified lead generation, Cultivation Needs Analysis (CNA’s), and generating activity to scheduled urban-gro events such as webinars, lunch & learns, and/or tradeshows.
- Online research, including prospect/customer exploration, identifying viable events to drive growth, and understanding state cannabis regulations and laws.
- Participating in urban-gro’s marketing efforts.
- Setting up meetings and appointments with qualified prospects.
- Assisting the Director of Sales in identifying and cultivating relationships with strategic partners and resellers.
- Keeping accurate logs, adding lead notes, activities, contacts, company, and meeting notes in Salesforce.
- Proficient in qualifying urban-gro’s prospects per the urban-gro selling system, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
- Discussing the benefits of the urban-gro solution to qualified prospects.
- Interacting with prospects and customers via telephone, email, and possibly face to face with high attention to detail.
- Consistently retire quarterly and annual Regional Quotas and revenue objectives.

This position operates in a professional office environment or remotely in a virtual office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires frequent travel, up to 40% of the time, to trade shows, events, and customer locations when it becomes safe to do so again.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
At least 2 years in Sales, Sales Development, or similar position.
