DESCRIPTION

Your primary duty is to guard and patrol the company property and to prevent and deter diversion, theft and violence. Our next part-time Security Guard will be one of the first points of contact for our patients as they enter our dispensary. This position will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the building, people, and vendors throughout each shift. And the next minute assisting the Receptionist with monitoring and improving patient flow

Where you’ll be planted
This position will be on-site in our Plymouth Meeting, PA dispensary. Our hours of operation are 9am - 8pm every day of the week. This role will require availability during nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities:
· Overseeing the delivery of the product and the transporting of currency to and from the plant, the dispensaries, and the processors.
- Monitoring the front gate and seeing that all visitors and/or vendors are escorted to the proper location
- During any new construction or anytime repairs are made on site by contractors or vendors, security officers are needed and will be, or will provide, escorts for said contractors and vendors.
- Security Officer must be willing to help in all areas of the plant as needed (assistance in Cultivation, Post- Harvest and Processing.
- Security officers will monitor cameras; they will be assigned times to monitor cameras in the dispensaries and review footage from the opening and closing of the dispensaries and will create written reports.
- Monitor the grow facility, areas within the plant, and exterior areas.
Security officers will perform regular maintenance by checking lighting, perimeter fencing, and all areas inside or outside of the plant for items that need repaired or replaced as it relates to

The dispensary Security Guard will assist patients, caregivers, and visitors at the dispensary as they are the first point of contact upon entering. - Possess state security and guard credentials and meet all requirements for carrying a loaded firearm in full compliance with state regulations.
- Pass required background checks and affiliation processes; and requirements for State Cannabis Agent affiliation.

As Justice Cannabis' Security Guard, you will perform a variety of tasks including:
- Monitoring and controlling access at building
- Monitoring alarm systems, video cameras, and detection
- Observing for signs of crime or disorder and investigating issues or disturbances

- Writing incident reports relating to criminal, medical, or nuisance

- Possess state security and guard credentials and meet all requirements for carrying a loaded firearm in full compliance with state regulations.
- Pass required background checks and affiliation processes; and requirements for State Cannabis Agent affiliation.

The dispensary Security Guard will consistently contribute to a positive, welcoming, and professional atmosphere. These individuals will help the dispensary team establish and maintain the highest level of security and compliance in accordance with the Department of Health (DOH) regulations. The dispensary Security Guard will assist the General Manager (GM), Assistance General Manager (AGM) and dispensary team with all additional tasks as deemed appropriate and within a practical scope.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greets all patients, caregivers, and visitors to the dispensary in a caring and professional manner
- Maintains electronic and physical security
- Monitor and operate security cameras and access control systems
- Monitors and prevents unauthorized entry into the dispensary and restricted areas
- Maintains confidentiality of security information
- Participate in monthly security checks with the GM per DOH regulations
- Verifies state issued IDs for visitors/vendors along with accurate completion of the visitor log to ensure compliance per the DOH
- Maintains all visitor logs
- Be able to de-escalate any issues that may arise at the reception area involving patients, caregivers, and visitors
- Assesses, resolves, and contains situations and takes appropriate action based upon policy and training
- Monitors, enforces, and correctly reports violations of dispensary policies and applicable state laws
- Provides accurate and complete written and verbal reports on all incidents/investigations when applicable
- Testify at court or at a hearing as needed
- Observes and checks departing personnel to guard against property loss
- Work closely with the receptionist to monitor patient flow in the dispensary
- Assists in training new staff members as assigned
- Ensure compliance with all PA Medical Marijuana rules and regulations along with maintaining records for all necessary patient related documents
- Cultivate a partnership with the dispensary staff and medical professionals
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers/patients/caregivers/visitors
- Multitask and solve practical problems without constant supervision
- Provide feedback to the GM
- Participate in monthly and quarterly staff meetings along with monthly/quarterly/annually check-ins with the GM
- Contributes to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
- 2+ years of Law Enforcement, Security and/or Military experience required
- Must be able to complete both internal and external background checks, clear of felonies
- Must be proficient with computers, POS systems, excel, word and Microsoft TEAMS
- Proven organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Friendly and compassionate disposition
- Team oriented but also able to work independently
- Able to multitask and work under pressure
- Professional and ethical mindset
- Must complete PA DOH required training course with a passing grade
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

The Security Guard is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and day-to-day administration of the facility security programs in a highly controlled and regulated environment. Guard, patrol, or monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the subject matter expert for physical access control, physical intrusion detection, video surveillance and event monitoring/response
- Lead the development and implementation of cost-effective Physical Facility Security programs designed to prevent, identify weaknesses and reduce losses
- Provide support and guidance to all managers for all facility security functions
- Coordinate and participate in emergency response activities and initiate special security measures during periods of emergency or instances of increased threat
- Ensure policies and procedures are executed to achieve an operating environment that meets security objectives
- Lock doors and gates of entrances and exits to secure buildings.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Patrol industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Respond to medical emergencies by administering basic first aid or by obtaining assistance from paramedics.
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
- Performing other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledgeable in leading best practices of loss prevention and security
- Understanding of security investigation principles, practices and techniques
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of PC hardware and software applications preferred
