The Retail Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the overview, evaluation and execution of retail inventory policies and procedures within the NJ Market. This role works in direct collaboration with the Retail District Manager, accounting, compliance, procurement ops, and other internal departments to document, implement, and monitor processes that establish controls, ownership, and accountability of involved parties related to inventory management in a SOX compliant environment. You will be challenged to work strategically and tactically to ensure our dispensaries are operating with best-in-class inventory policies and procedures. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implement an inventory audit program to optimize inventory control procedures. Work closely with retail operations management to plan and execute full and cycle inventory counts across all PA Locations weekly and monthly basis.
- Serve as district expert in inventory management systems, such as MJ Freeway, QuickBooks (future Epicor), SWEED and serve as point of escalation.
- Examine the levels of products, systems vs. physical to determine shortages, to find and report root causes for process improvement.
- Prepare formal Systems vs. Physical Count Reports on inventory and provide to Management monthly.
- Monitor inventory receiving process for accuracy, completion, proper documentation, and timeliness.
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, and Purchasing Coordinators to maintain alignment of company’s ERP, with state mandated inventory tracking program and execute inventory adjustments in the inventory management systems.
- Ability to partner, develop and share best practices across the PA teams including aligned preparedness process for EOM Inventory
- Participate (hands-on) in EOM Inventories scheduled the last Sunday of each calendar month, set work standards, reconcile, validate and execute on count results.
- Actively search for process improvements to increase throughput for EOM Inventory, cycle counts and BOH inventory standards.
- Utilize existing equipment and make recommendations for new equipment, as necessary.
- Ensure that inventory control processes follow state DOH regulations.
- Travel 40% and as needed to perform job duties. Coordinator and DM will determine the remaining daily schedule – including Home Store location.

TerrAscend NJ is a new Jersey based company with a state permit awarded to cultivate, process, and dispense premium marijuana medicine to the medical marijuana patients of New Jersey in a compassionate and safe manner. Position Description
The Retail General Manager (GM) is primarily responsible for effective performance management and execution of retail operations the designated dispensary location including merchandising, staffing and patient order fulfillment processes. The GM works closely with the Director of Dispensary Operations, Northeast Region and the local Operations Manager to drive the successful business management and financial performance of the dispensary.
This is a full time exempt position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Hire, train, schedule and manage staff at all the dispensaries dispensary to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives as well as customer satisfaction. Ensure that all deadlines are met and take accountability for completion.
- Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion & diversity
- Develop, coach and consistently execute Ilera’s service standards. Ensure consistent execution of steps of service by using tools such as quarterly departmental staff meetings, and customer feedback. Constantly work to improve standards and customer satisfaction.
- Take ownership of TerrAscend NJ’s dispensary business and ensure the dispensary operates efficiently and profitably.
- Actively manage inventory, recalls, customer service complaints and pricing to meet cost and sales targets.
- Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting. Ensure check register, cash outs, bank logs, inventory and deposits are accurate and executed according to Ilera standard.
- Effectively manage service labor, scheduling and payroll.
- Perform business management operations and analyses such as P&L; develop and review KPI reports for dispensaries to monitor opportunities and challenges with a goal to maximize revenues and profits.
- Proactively monitor dispensary profit and loss and develop effective mitigation between actual performance and company budget and projections. Work with management team to develop insight as for business decisions.
- Maintain a general awareness of cannabis and retail trends to help create innovative and adaptive strategies. Work closely with grower-processors to understand and learn about their products.
- Work with the Director of Retail Operations to meet all regulatory requirements. Correct all violations with a sense of urgency. - Requirements
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Hire, train, schedule and manage staff at all the dispensaries dispensary to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives as well as customer satisfaction. Ensure that all deadlines are met and take accountability for completion.
- Partners with Director of Dispensary Operations to recognize outstanding achievements, displays of teamwork and superior performance milestones.
- Take ownership of Ilera’s dispensary business and ensure the dispensaries operate efficiently and profitably.
- Partner with Medical Professional Staff and Director of Physician and Network Engagement to support outreach/certification efforts in the area, utilizing dispensary staff as needed. Assists in promoting/data-pulling pre and post event as necessary.
- Actively manage inventory, recalls, and pricing to meet cost and sales targets.
- Executes cash management effectively and accurately in conjunction with financial reporting. Ensures reserve funds, cash on-hand, pickups and other operational measures are accurate.
- Ensures store is operating compliantly at a superior level. Partners with Director of Dispensary Operation to implement existing SOPs while continuing to analyze any ongoing operational needs for updated/new SOPs.
- Maintains open lines of communication around operational standards between Director of Dispensary Operations and staff, both management and hourly employee.
- Effectively manage service labor, scheduling and payroll.
- Partners with Director of Medical Dispensary Operations to ensure mandated training and education is being completed by all dispensary staff. Works with their team to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Collects and compiles all store-specific data and analysis to present on the Weekly Business Review and is prepared to speak to any concerns/comments that arise; and/or prepared to justify and defend promotional requests using supporting data analysis.
- Prepare to be proactive immediately following the call to implement any pressing strategies/business needs.
- Performs business management operation and analyses such as P&L; develops and review KPI reports for dispensaries to monitor opportunities and challenges with a goal to maximize revenues and profits.
- Partners with other GMs and Director of Dispensary Operations to come up with promotional ideas along with collaboration from Marketing and, when applicable Director of Finance and SVP of Retail.
- Proactively monitor dispensary profit and loss and develop effective mitigation between actual performance and company budget and projections.
- Maintain a general awareness of cannabis and retail trends to help create innovative and adaptive strategies.
- Work with the Director of each Dispensary to meet all regulatory requirements. Correct all violations with a sense of urgency.

Qualifications and Education Requirements· Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the retail, restaurant, grocery or other service industry with responsibility for financial results

· Previous management proficiency in high volume retail with P&L accountability
· Ability to create and maintain a customer focused culture
· Cannabis experience is a plus.
- Work/manage coverage of weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Must be flexible regarding work schedule and willing to work 5-6 days per week including evening and weekends including opening and closing shifts.
- Have a proven track record of working effectively with customers with minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a comprehensive background check
