Part-Time Keyholder Job Description
The Part-Time Key Holder will be responsible for product knowledge, the sale of products, customer engagement and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. They will take the lead on addressing customer concerns, executing transactions, cash handling, and serve as the manager on duties when management is unavailable. This role will work closely with management and fellow retail staff, in assisting with the dispensary’s standard operating procedures and staying within compliance per legal and regulatory requirements established by the state of Massachusetts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Shift Lead Retail Sales Associate-Budtender position requires intermittent physical activity of lifting and carrying objects up to 30 pounds. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, squatting, crouching, and kneeling. Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day, walk up to 4 hours per day, possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience as well as one (1) year of retail cannabis experience is desired. Pleasant personality and exceptional customer service skills are a must.
Must be 21 years of age or older and holds a current Colorado MED and MMJ Badge.
Must be detail oriented and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet expectations in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Assist Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with training staff
- Conducts the day to day operations within the store based on the Shift Lead Retail Sales Associate Training Checklist and Retail Sales Associate Training Guide and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct opening and closing procedures
- Cash handling, key holder, and inventory counting
- Provide customer reception and ID checking procedures
- Follow visitor sign-in procedures
- Make sales, recommending solutions and new products
- Ensure the accuracy of cash-handling, sales transactions and debit transactions
- Process online orders
- Present daily deals, happy hour and special promotions

POSITION SUMMARY

The Part Time Operations Keyholder will take the lead on all things pertaining to delivery including, customer inquiries, dispatch, order manifests, reconciling all end of day transactions, cash deposits, training new hires, etc at our facility in Northampton. You will also assist with site and security management needs as they arise. This role will work closely with management and fellow delivery and inventory staff, in assisting with all standard operating procedures and staying within compliance per legal and regulatory requirements established by Community Growth Partners and the state of Massachusetts. Additionally, you will be assisting with manufacturing duties from time to time based on the production schedule for wholesale orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the main liaison between delivery drivers and inventory team.
Maintain quality customer service by establishing and enforcing company standards and handling customer inquiries and complaints via phone, email and chat.
Verify proper identification and sign in visitors/maintain visitor log.
Report any onsite security, property or maintenance issues to the proper channels.
Maintain correspondence with delivery drivers and provide any updates for the duration of their shift.
Follow company’s protocols for opening and closing procedures of completing cash deposits, computer/tablet-based POS system, establishing accountability by ensuring each driver is properly funded the correct amount of cash and close out each day to ensure all funds are accounted for, as well as reconciliation or debits and inventory.
Assist with coaching, supporting, and motivating team members to help maintain an efficient and steady work flow.
Assist with training new employees as well as the re-training of existing employees when needed.
Assist with manufacturing duties to help keep our production on schedule for wholesale needs.
Serve as the Manager-on-Duty, in the absence of manager or as directed by management.

REQUIREMENTS

Dispensary Keyholders are responsible for ensuring all tasks and procedures regarding opening/closing the store are executed completely. Specific duties universal to both AM and PM keyholders are:
- Completes the appropriate opening/closing checklist
- Assigns drawers to staff and maintain that they are using assigned drawers
- Oversees customer returns
- Handles difficult customers when needed
- Able to answer any product related questions
- Runs breaks and lunch schedule for Budtenders
- Responsible for keys to doors
- Balances the bank for change
- Completes the change count log at the beginning and end of each shift
- Register cash drops at the end of each shift
- Tip drops
- Ensures that there is ALWAYS flower out on the floor by following the procedures for “End of Jar” and “New Strain on Floor”
- Communicates any stocking needs to the Inventory Department
- Manages staff in the absence of GM and AGM
- Completes and closes online orders
Qualifications include:
- Retail / sales experience required
- Must be extremely knowledgeable about all cannabis products
- Experience with Greenbits POS is a huge plus
- Experience with METRC is a huge plus

POSITION SUMMARY:
A Retail Sales Associate-Budtender guides medical patients and adult customers through the process of understanding, selecting and purchasing cannabis products, such as flower, concentrates, edibles and topicals. The Retail Sales Associates-Budtenders specialize in customer service and so are not only extremely knowledgeable, but friendly and compassionate individuals first and foremost.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Retail Sales Associate-Budtender position requires intermittent physical activity of lifting and carrying objects up to 30 pounds. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, squatting, crouching, and kneeling. Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day, walk up to 4 hours per day, possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one (1) year of retail cannabis experience is desired. Pleasant personality and exceptional customer service skills are a must.
Must be 21 years of age or older and holds a current Colorado MED and MMJ Badge.
Must be detail oriented and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet expectations in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Conducts the day to day operations within the store based on the Retail Sales Associate Training Checklist and Retail Sales Associate Training Guide and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct opening and closing procedures
- Provide customer reception and ID checking procedures
- Follow visitor sign-in procedures
- Make sales, recommending solutions and new products
- Ensure the accuracy of cash-handling, sales transactions and debit transactions

- Check mail, email and voicemail
- Participate in morning report and end of day report

ROLE SUMMARY
As a Key Holder, you may be the first point of contact for our customers when they enter the store, you will help to create the energy and excitement around Fluent products, providing the right solutions and providing the knowledge needed for patients to safely use our products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
