Job Description
The Keyholder is an experienced retail team member who provides support and assistance to the store management team through performing daily store opening and closing procedures, assisting with administrative tasks, and acting as a resource on the floor for other team members. The Keyholder is still a key player in the customer’s experience and assist customers through every step of their experience and transaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Hold keys to the store and can open the store in the absence of a Manager on Duty
- Assist Manager on Duty with closing procedures including record keeping duties like preparing bank deposits and counting drawers and safes
- Act as a resource to team members on the floor for company SOPs and best practices
- Assist with the definition and creation of retail SOPs
- Represent the brand in a positive and compliant manner while providing the best-in-class service that consistently exceeds our customer’s expectations
- Establish relationships with customers and provide a memorable customer experience to create loyalty to our brand
- Offer customers helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable assistance including relaying information on product equivalencies and responsible use of products as well as making tailored recommendations
- Stay current on product and cannabis related information and provide information in a digestible and customer-friendly way
- Contribute to a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance while in our customer-based environment or while representing our brand
- Responsible for maintaining the store in a clean, organized, safe manner with special attention paid to merchandising standards
- Assist with new inventory unloading and restocking the floor as needed
- Assist management with other administrative tasks as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Reception Duties:
- Greet guests in a friendly manner and check in all customers by verifying their ID and logging information in the point of sale system
- Assist customers over the phone with any questions and log and prepare any over-the-phone orders
- Remains in a stationary position for majority of shift with occasional standing, bending, or reaching
- Operates a telephone and a computer
Curbside Duties:
- Greet customers in a friendly manner promptly upon arrival and validate their form of ID
- Verify order totals and return payment to the cashier for processing
- Bring order out to the guest’s vehicle in a timely manner and provide receipt
- Remains on feet and in active motion for majority of shift
- Operates a hand held radio transmitter
Cashier Duties:
- Accountable for accurately utilizing the Point of Sale system to process payments and finalize orders
- Ensures all products match order documentation exactly as provided
- Uses money handling and basic math skills to calculate change and ensure transaction accuracy
- Sedentary work that involves primarily sitting and standing with occasional bending or reaching
Bud-back Duties:
- Navigate the store storage drawers and storage rooms to prepare customer orders accurately
- Package orders and communicate status and total charge to the outdoor runner team
- Remains on feet and in active motion for majority of shift
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds required
- Operates a hand held radio transmitter
Job Requirements
- Two years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service required
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to be trusted with confidential matters
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, and prior experience with Point of Sale software preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
