About the Job
We're looking for an absolute rock-star Sales Manager to lead Sales in NorCal. The right individual will be comfortable and competent at managing the status of 200+ accounts in NorCal through their team of hard-working Account Executives, provide hands-on coaching to individual team members to increase account-level growth, be strategic and thoughtful in allocating attention to specific accounts as needed month by month. - Battle for our customers. Drive the message that every account matters. - Perform or delegate the tasks required to power the sales engine. Ensure that our AEs are paid commission on time, accurately. Terrapin is looking for a Sales Manager to join our growing company. As a Boulder, Colo.-based national cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator, processor and provider of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. Over 10 years of operations, Terrapin has grown into a multi-state company with nearly 500 employees. As we have expanded nationally, our need for a Sales Manager has grown significantly.
The PA Sales Manager is an integral part of the Sales team and overall operations at Terrapin. This position is responsible for actively selling Cannabis and lab products to dispensaries in Pennsylvania and works closely with the sales team to execute statewide sales strategies. The Sales Manager will be focused on growing the Terrapin flower brand as well as our Double Bear concentrate brand in stores across the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania market and is ultimately responsible for building strong, long-term partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales
Sell all available flower and lab products to meet weekly sales goals
Build rapport with existing partners and new prospects
Make regular store visits to partner locations to ensure Terrapin is well represented
Maintain deep knowledge of our product line and operating philosophy to educate retail staff on our products, while answering questions and gathering feedback
Alert partners to new/restocked products
Upsell partners on products that they may not yet be carrying
Work to ensure high-demand products are allotted correctly
Grow revenue by gaining new partners and expanding skus/quantity with existing partners
Maintain a deep understanding of partner needs and market trends- strains, products, competition

The Sales Manager is an integral part of the Sales team and overall operations at Terrapin. This position is responsible for actively selling Cannabis and lab products to dispensaries in Michigan and works closely with the National Sales Director and MI Sales Manager- West to execute statewide sales strategies. The Sales Manager will be focused on growing the Terrapin flower brand as well as our Double Bear concentrate brand in new and existing partner stores and is ultimately responsible for building strong, long-term partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales
- Sell all available flower and lab products to meet weekly sales goals
- Build rapport with existing partners and new prospects
- Make regular store visits to partner locations to ensure Terrapin is well represented
- Maintain deep knowledge of our product line and operating philosophy to educate retail staff on our products, while answering questions and gathering feedback
- Alert partners to new/restocked products
- Upsell partners on products that they may not yet be carrying
- Work to ensure high-demand products are allotted correctly
- Grow revenue by gaining new partners and expanding skus/quantity with existing partners
- Maintain a deep understanding of partner needs and market trends- strains, products, competition
- Work with marketing and the sales team to strategize, organize and send out sales campaign messaging on a routine basis
- Develop, and maintain, a strong understanding of Cannabis laws and compliance in MI
- Resolve any partner/customer related concerns regarding sales and service
- Arrange and execute in-store pop-ups to “meet and greet” with patients and dispensary staff to educate on our products as well as attend events that we sponsor
Internal Responsibilities
- Create orders in LeafLink for new orders and have the ability to edit/update orders as needed
- Work with National Sales Director and Production teams to ensure the right product mix is being produced week to week
- Develop sales strategies to increase revenues and gain new partners
- Prepare budgets as necessary and maintain strong expense management
- Work with Sales Coordinator and production teams (as needed) to ensure delivery schedules meet partner needs
- Communicate partner requests and needs to National Sales Director and Sales Coordinator, as well as other relevant departments
- Communicate with billing department on accounts receivable, all product returns, account credits etc. and action any necessary tasks to ensure AR is current across our portfolio
- Monitor and report back on competition, economic indicators, and industry trends
- Weekly reporting on key metrics
- Work with marketing team to execute marketing campaigns
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire. Proof of vaccination required.
- Current State Mandated Badge or Background Check.
- A clean driving record for the past two years. An MVR check will be conducted if an offer is extended.
- High school degree required, Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred
- At least 3 years experience in sales, with field sales experience, managing a territory and quota (Cannabis sales experience preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a strong attention to detail
- Proficient in CRM systems and the Google Suite
- Strong knowledge of cannabis products

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Sales Manager is a hunting sales role that will be responsible for planning and executing on K-Zen’s sales growth strategy within the San Francisco, Oakland, South Bay, and East Bay region. As member of the sales department for a startup in hypergrowth mode, you will be responsible for growing company revenues by rapidly expanding distribution across top-tier CA retail dispensaries and delivery service platforms within assigned territory, drive customer success and grow existing accounts, coordinating with K-Zen Distributor Coordinator for consistent on-time and accurate deliveries and customer service.

The Sales Manager is an integral part of the Sales team and overall operations at Terrapin. This position is responsible for actively selling Cannabis and lab products to dispensaries in Michigan and works closely with the National Sales Director and MI Sales Manager- West to execute statewide sales strategies. The Sales Manager will be focused on growing the Terrapin flower brand as well as our Double Bear concentrate brand in new and existing partner stores and is ultimately responsible for building strong, long-term partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales
Sell all available flower and lab products to meet weekly sales goals
Build rapport with existing partners and new prospects
Make regular store visits to partner locations to ensure Terrapin is well represented
Maintain deep knowledge of our product line and operating philosophy to educate retail staff on our products, while answering questions and gathering feedback
Alert partners to new/restocked products
Upsell partners on products that they may not yet be carrying
Work to ensure high-demand products are allotted correctly
Grow revenue by gaining new partners and expanding skus/quantity with existing partners
Maintain a deep understanding of partner needs and market trends- strains, products, competition
Work with marketing and the sales team to strategize, organize and send out sales campaign messaging on a routine basis
Develop, and maintain, a strong understanding of Cannabis laws and compliance in MI
Resolve any partner/customer related concerns regarding sales and service
Arrange and execute in-store pop-ups to “meet and greet” with patients and dispensary staff to educate on our products as well as attend events that we sponsor
Internal Responsibilities
Create orders in LeafLink for new orders and have the ability to edit/update orders as needed
Work with National Sales Director and Production teams to ensure the right product mix is being produced week to week
Develop sales strategies to increase revenues and gain new partners
Prepare budgets as necessary and maintain strong expense management
Work with Sales Coordinator and production teams (as needed) to ensure delivery schedules meet partner needs
Communicate partner requests and needs to National Sales Director and Sales Coordinator, as well as other relevant departments
Communicate with billing department on accounts receivable, all product returns, account credits etc. and action any necessary tasks to ensure AR is current across our portfolio
Monitor and report back on competition, economic indicators, and industry trends
Weekly reporting on key metrics
Work with marketing team to execute marketing campaigns
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire. Proof of vaccination required.
Current State Mandated Badge or Background Check.
A clean driving record for the past two years. An MVR check will be conducted if an offer is extended.
High school degree required, Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred
At least 3 years experience in sales, with field sales experience, managing a territory and quota (Cannabis sales experience preferred)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a strong attention to detail
Proficient in CRM systems and the Google Suite
Strong knowledge of cannabis products
Ability to enter and visit, both adult use, and medical dispensaries
Driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to travel to partner locations and events
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

- 5-7 years of experience in Wholesaler Management
- 3-5 years of experience managing a team to successful completion of goals
- Bachelors degree preferred

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Area Sales Manager will report to the Regional Sales Director and be expected to be the expert on the local cannabis landscape which includes detailed knowledge of the retail operations, cannabis marketing-outlets, market and industry leaders, decision makers, macroeconomic issues and key competitors.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) you are responsible for tracking, recording, and monitoring sales teams within a region. You will use your detailed knowledge of Leafly and the cannabis industry to coach and develop your direct reports of Account Executives & Customer Success Managers to maximize the key performance metrics of the markets while exceeding revenue targets.These metrics include:
- Increase the number of retailers & overall penetration/saturation, product adoption, inventory management, and local customer (cannabis consumer) levels in order to deliver on your revenue plan.
- Provide insight to senior leadership on Business Development Representatives (BDR), Customer Success Managers (CSM) and Account Executives (AE’s) performance to assist with employee eligibility for, among other things, merit increases, bonuses and promotional and transfer opportunities.
- Think critically to develop and execute strategies in order to acquire and retain retailers on our platform through data and processes.
- Develop and promote high engagement with retailers to utilize all of Leafly’s products and services
- Provide feedback, coaching and disciplinary action (up to and including termination or discharge of employment) to employees, or effectively recommend such actions, to help improve employee performance.
- Resolve and adjust employee concerns and grievances.
- Be the face of Leafly, build the Leafly brand in local markets and at industry trade shows.
- You are responsible for fostering and maintaining key accounts (strategic partnerships) in your area.
- You are responsible for the day to day Leadership of your team.
- Partner with Account Executives to conduct renewal meetings, understand goals and objectives, and make recommendations to secure renewals, grow revenue, and build strong partnerships
- Conduct intervention calls and meetings with at-risk customers
- Facilitate communications (written and verbal) and objection handling to prevent customers from canceling
- Identify upsell opportunities for Account Executive (counterpart)
- Advocate customer needs/issues cross-departmentally and own communication back to the customer in order to address their concerns.
- Have a deep understanding of your territory, including product landscape and market dynamics, and be able to effectively understand and communicate how Leafly should expand in that market
- Expected to travel in market, visiting retailers, at a minimum 20% of the time
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum 2 years leadership in sales and/or operations
- Sales development and strategy experience with online distribution or ecommerce experience a plus
- Minimum of 4 years of relationship management experience, preferably in online media and/or advertising sales
- Previous sales experience in meeting and exceeding revenue goals
- Strong experience coaching, developing, and motivating sales professionals
- Creative problem-solving skills and a commitment to execution of task; solution oriented
- Computer literate with Salesforce CRM, Google, and other digital marketing systems and social media networks
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally
- Solid understanding of web-based advertising and/or SaaS sales
- Excellent and poised written and verbal communications skills
- Knowledgeable about Leafly and general interest in cannabis industry and legalization

Terrapin is looking for a Sales Manager to join our growing company. As a Boulder, Colo.-based national cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator, processor and provider of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. Over 10 years of operations, Terrapin has grown into a multi-state company with nearly 500 employees. As we have expanded nationally, our need for a Sales Manager has grown significantly. We are seeking someone that lives in the Kansas City area to fill this role.
The Sales Manager is an integral part of the Sales team and overall operations at Terrapin. This position is responsible for actively selling Cannabis and lab products to dispensaries in Missouri and works closely with the National Sales Director to execute statewide sales strategies. The Sales Manager will be focused on growing the Terrapin flower brand as well as our Double Bear concentrate brand in new and existing partner stores and is ultimately responsible for building strong, long-term partnerships.

Qualifications and Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

Requirements – Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Experience)

· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related discipline or related experience.
