Chief Commercial Officer
ABOUT THE ROLE
The
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be responsible for co-creating and driving the business strategy for Leafly and be responsible for ensuring revenue goals are optimized and achieved across all sales channels. This position will partner closely with Product and Engineering to identify and develop strategic revenue opportunities and lead Sales, Support, Customer Success, Pricing and Marketing to pull-through revenue generation. WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Partner with senior leadership and inform product, engineering, brand, retail and research collaboration and priorities to achieve short and long-term strategies and target goals; ensure product-offerings and technology to enable a competitive platform and anticipate problems, and proactively develop solutions
- Develop sales goals and objectives with a focus on accuracy, predictability and transparency, including sales volume, compensation programs, cost of sales, profitability, and provide accurate forecasts of annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams; lead budget process for sales/marketing teams
- Develop packaging and pricing strategies that enhance revenue from all assets; collaborate with finance, product management, and marketing on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals
WHAT YOU BRING
- 12 to 15 years of experience as a senior sales leader, including sales strategy and management, client marketing, and developing strong sales teams
- Global experience implementing and scaling revenue generation in the technology space with proven track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets of $50MM to $100MM, initially, and scaling above $100MM; start-up experience preferred
- Ability to build strong relationships and network across customer base and develop long-term partnerships and alliance that lead to revenue opportunities
- Experience with deep partnership and collaboration with product, engineering, and content teams to build innovative, competitive online offerings
- Deep understanding of technology industry and ability to drive revenue generation across a competitive landscape

Controller
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Controller will lead our accounting and payroll operations. In this role, you will establish financial policies, procedures and internal controls needed to support public company reporting and compliance. Reporting into the VP of Accounting, this person will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the corporate accounting function by providing leadership, process knowledge, technical expertise, and business collaboration. The Controller will manage a fully remote team of twelve professionals: four managers and eight staff. A successful candidate is comfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment; can effectively manage multiple competing priorities with significant autonomy; and consistently demonstrates high-quality judgment.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Develop and maintain corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Drive month end, quarter end, and year end close processes and internal reporting including optimizing the month-end close checklist, implementing pre-close activities, and shortening the close calendar
- Partner with the SEC reporting team and investor relations to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and other disclosed financial information.
- Provide guidance to management on technical accounting issues and alternatives
- Ensure complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation to support accounting treatment of new and/or complex transactions
- Maintain the relationship with external auditors, manage process for audit requests and deliverables, partner with auditors to continuously improve and streamline audit work
- Maintain relationships with third-party service providers (valuation experts, tax accountants, technical accounting consultants, and outsourced internal auditors)
- Oversee payroll operations to ensure transactions are timely, complete and in compliance with all policies and regulations
- Work cross-functionally with the other departments on new products and initiatives to understand the financial impact and ensure accounting issues are identified and mitigated
- Collaborate inside and outside of finance to build scalable processes to support growth while also ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
As a Customer Success Manager (CSM), you’ll be responsible for nurturing relationships to drive retention, grow revenue, and keep customers happy. CSMs are experts in Leafly products, value propositions, and feature enablement. You develop and implement change management plans to grow product adoption and orders with individual customers and at scale. You are expected to partner with customers to help them achieve their goals and drive maximum value from their investment.
Responsibilities:
Work with our Onboarding team to ensure customers are properly onboarded trained on how to use our products and understand how to maximize their footprint on Leafly
Continue to Understand the individual goals and objectives of each dispensary to make recommendations, advise these customers on best practices, and conduct ad hoc training as needed.
Conduct account reviews every 90 days to review goals and objectives, measure progress to goals, reinforce ROI through data and insights.
Partner with Account Executives to conduct renewal meetings, understand goals and objectives, and make recommendations to secure renewals, grow revenue, and build strong partnerships
Conduct intervention calls and meetings with at-risk customers
Facilitate communications (written and verbal) and objection handling to prevent customers from canceling
Identify upsell opportunities for Account Executive (counterpart)
Advocate customer needs/issues cross-departmentally and own communication back to the customer in order to address their concerns.
Have a deep understanding of your territory, including product landscape and market dynamics, and be able to effectively understand and communicate how Leafly should expand in that market
Expected to travel in market, visiting retailers, at a minimum 20% of the time

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Account Executive at Leafly, you will drive revenue by growing Leafly’s market penetration with legal cannabis retailers in your territory. Our SaaS and advertising products allow our clients to convert Leafly’s diverse, engaged audience into high average value orders and loyal customers. Sales duties will be focused on driving platform/ordering adoption with decision-makers at retail cannabis storefronts and delivery services that legally sell cannabis and cannabis-related products to consumers. ABOUT THE ROLE
Leafly is looking for a Senior Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to help support and partner with our Payroll and Benefits Manager. They will handle all payroll related functions of the organization, as well as assist the Benefits Administrator in various benefits related processes and procedures. This will also include assisting employees with benefits enrollment and questions, verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee databases and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Responsible for payroll of ~250 employees for semi-monthly period.
- Processing payroll, taxation forms and benefits, as well as maintaining employee data, handling payroll and benefit questions and completing any other tasks necessary for monitoring and overseeing a company’s payroll process.
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Data entry and compiling of payroll, including W2 forms, benefits information, direct deposit, tax filing documents.
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.
- Maintain employee records to include but not limited to new client setups.
- Input of all employee data and records; i.e. new hires, employee changes voluntary deductions in the payroll system.
- Processing of manual checks such as terminations and discrepancies.
- Prepare and process garnishments.
- Handling of all termination’s records and processing of final payroll checks and unemployment information.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Area Sales Manager will report to the Regional Sales Director and be expected to be the expert on the local cannabis landscape which includes detailed knowledge of the retail operations, cannabis marketing-outlets, market and industry leaders, decision makers, macroeconomic issues and key competitors.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) you are responsible for tracking, recording, and monitoring sales teams within a region. You will use your detailed knowledge of Leafly and the cannabis industry to coach and develop your direct reports of Account Executives & Customer Success Managers to maximize the key performance metrics of the markets while exceeding revenue targets.These metrics include:
- Increase the number of retailers & overall penetration/saturation, product adoption, inventory management, and local customer (cannabis consumer) levels in order to deliver on your revenue plan.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
As a Customer Success Manager (CSM), you’ll be responsible for nurturing relationships to drive retention, grow revenue, and keep customers happy. CSMs are experts in Leafly products, value propositions, and feature enablement. You develop and implement change management plans to grow product adoption and orders with individual customers and at scale. You are expected to partner with customers to help them achieve their goals and drive maximum value from their investment.
Responsibilities:
Work with our Onboarding team to ensure customers are properly onboarded trained on how to use our products and understand how to maximize their footprint on Leafly
Continue to Understand the individual goals and objectives of each dispensary to make recommendations, advise these customers on best practices, and conduct ad hoc training as needed.
Conduct account reviews every 90 days to review goals and objectives, measure progress to goals, reinforce ROI through data and insights.
Partner with Account Executives to conduct renewal meetings, understand goals and objectives, and make recommendations to secure renewals, grow revenue, and build strong partnerships

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Ensures that the communication promotes and protects Leafly’s reputation and underscores its authentic commitment to quality products, innovation and responsible growth.
- Drives proactive and reactive media relations with reporters covering the cannabis space (and loves it).
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with key reporters and media outlets.
- Executes ongoing external communications activities, including financial and corporate communications, crisis/issues management and a proactive approach to media relations.
- Identifies and liaises with key forums, networking and thought-leadership opportunities for executives within Leafly.
- Creates and edits key communications materials including announcements, news releases, talking points, Q&A, speeches, program descriptions, articles and bios.
- Drafts briefs for special communications projects; presents on and promotes these projects to management.
- Creates content for news moments and manages distribution and reporting infrastructure, including the company newsroom.
- Works closely with PR and marketing agencies to ensure news moments have the maximum reach possible.
- Works with different departments to generate new ideas and strategies for earned coverage, and serves as an advisor for identifying the news angle within marketing and product milestones.
- Creates communication plans for new products, launches, events, and promotions.
- Seeks new methods and creative strategies to increase internal awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, community service and philanthropy, and other topics of interest.
- Works closely with communications leadership and the executive team to manage crises communications/conflict situations.
- At least 5 years of experience in the communications field with a strong media relations relations emphasis required.
- High level of creativity and initiative, as well as the ability to conduct research, interview senior executives, and use data-driven insights to write compelling content of various lengths and formats.
- Ability to use tact and professionalism including in times of extreme stress.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Sales Director for Enterprise you will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales and be responsible for leading a team of Enterprise Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to grow and retain key accounts for Leafly supporting both client needs at the dispensary and brand level. Account Executive-Retail
As an Account Executive-Retail at Leafly, you will drive revenue by growing Leafly’s market penetration with legal cannabis retailers in your territory. Our SaaS and advertising products allow our clients to convert Leafly’s diverse, engaged audience into high average value orders and loyal customers. Sales duties will be focused on driving platform/ordering adoption with decision makers at retail cannabis storefronts and delivery services that legally sell cannabis and cannabis related products to consumers. This is a fast-paced work environment; the ability to work quickly and independently under pressure is essential. Though most of your work will be done out of the office, the power of face-to-face interaction can be valuable and travel within your territory may be required.

What we are looking for in this role
The B2C marketing team at Leafly is looking for a Channel Marketing Coordinator to help support day-to-day operations driving Leafly’s consumer-facing channels (push notifications, email newsletters, display ads, site merchandising). We need someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple workflows, and is comfortable taking ownership over their workstreams and responsibilities.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Supporting marketing channels in day-to-day operations, such as: building and maintaining a communications calendar for push notifications and site marketing placements on Leafly.com; testing and sending channel communications; supporting our email coordinator with building email campaigns; trafficking display ad assets to internal teams, etc.

About the Role: Business Operations Specialist
Leafly is seeking a talented individual to help create a first-class user experience within our product catalog. The Business Operations Specialist role is a combination of people management, project management, and strategic process improvements. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a product catalog team and own the weekly team goals, quality of content, and completeness.
Core Responsibilities:
- Be the liaison for the Catalog Operations team. Work with the Director of Operations to ensure brands needs are met
- Create and edit brand products, as requested
- Develop programs and source data to improve all aspects of the dispensary catalog - in some cases, working with internal teams to source info from dispensaries, in other cases, developing ways to get the info that are not dependent on clients
- Identify gaps in the catalog and drive forward ways to close them (e.g. not enough images or descriptions filled out, so reach out to Sales and Customer Success Managers to make a plan, then hold others accountable for delivering their work on that plan, and identify way/s to measure progress)
- Operationalize and improve our compliance checks, working cross-functionally with Legal
- Respond to requests directly from Brands Zendesk or Slack and correspond with brands, Sales and Support
- Provide suggestions and improvements to Catalog Linking tool to the Product team
- Update and set guidelines and standards for Catalog Associates and brands

This role will manage the end-to-end digital advertising process for our brand clients and play a vital role within our growing Ad Operations team. Responsibilities include configuring and launching multi-faceted display advertising campaigns, validating sales submissions, trafficking creative ads, forecasting and inventory management, reporting and monitoring programs to make sure campaigns are running properly. Experience with ad servers and programmatic channels a plus.
The Ad Operations Associate is responsible for coordinating across multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate campaign launches while supporting ongoing digital campaigns on behalf of our clients. This position requires overseeing a high volume of digital advertising campaigns for cannabis and non-endemic advertisers.

Leafly is seeking an Advertising Operations Specialist (6 months contract). This role will manage the end-to-end digital advertising process for our brand clients and play a vital role within our growing Ad Operations team. This role will be a crucial member of the team, helping build, influence and scale Leafly’s business and the ideal candidate will be a strategic and product minded person. Qualifications

Account Manager
As an Account Manager at Leafly, you will be responsible for executing commercial activities for existing retail customers; including renewals, upsells, and upgrades. You’ll be expected to grow average revenue per account (ARPA) for your book of business, and meet or exceed your monthly quota and retention targets. You’ll partner with CSM’s to share dedicated territories across North America. Together, you’ll manage logo, gross revenue, and net revenue retention for those areas. Along with CSM’s, Support, Customer Ops, and other external groups, you’ll be expected to increase net revenue retention by ensuring that our customers are successful on Leafly.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with strong communication and organization skills and an aptitude for understanding Leafly’s product and its value proposition. Responsibilities:
- Execute the renewal playbook and secure renewals for all termed customers (auto renew or not)
- Upsell low and high touch customers by selling retail and brand add ons during scheduled (e.g. QBR) and unscheduled touches (e.g. inbound leads)
- Upgrade low touch, Standard customers to Pro subscriptions
- Proactively upsell healthy, high touch customers and customers who are paying below fair pricing
- Own and manage all healthy low touch customer relationships; includes conducting monthly calls to seek out upsell/upgrade opportunities
- Liaise with cross-functional internal teams (Support, CSM, Customer Ops, Product, Marketing) to improve the entire customer lifecyle experience
- Accurately forecast renewal rate, upsell, and upgrade targets monthly and quarterly

Program Managers at Leafly are the lead and front line on all client campaign elements from project inception to completion.
