The Cannabis Technician will assist in from the harvest of the plant to sale. The job can be described as fast-paced highly repetitive, with a great deal of manual labor while working in various temperatures from 60 to 80 degrees. At the highest level, the Harvest and Post-Harvest Technician is responsible for assisting inventory control, quality control and efficiencies from wet harvest all the way through to packaging of dried product.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist with all Quality Control and Quality Assurance of Bask's high-end cannabis throughout the harvesting process. (defects, trichrome handling, flower size, trim, biproduct, etc.)
-Assist in the management of all inventory of harvested cannabis material through the Post-Harvest process: wet trim, dry room, cure, dry trim, packaging and QC.
-Maintain and organize barcoded inventory in METRC and Outlaw Harvest System(s).

-Help refine SOPs through each stage of the harvest and post-harvest process.

Harvest Technician
The Harvest Technician will carry out the daily Harvest & Dry/Cure room operations. The Harvest Techs will report to the Harvest Technician Manager. 
Education/Experience:
- Proven experience as a Harvest Tech
- Technical knowledge and ability to read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Ability in using tools (e.g. trimming shears) and machines (trimming machines, etc)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition

Position Summary/Objective
The Post-Harvest Technician is responsible for assisting the managers in the day-to-day functions of the packaging, trimming, and harvesting areas, as well as storing finished product. The Post-Harvest Technician is a detail-oriented, operational team player with strong communication skills.
Post-Harvest Technicians are an integral part of the post-harvest team. By reporting the conditions observed of both the environment and products, they help guide the overall success of every production cycle. No detail is too small, and a strong understanding of all the components needed to carry out each task is necessary for success. Additionally, minimizing miscommunications and taking seriously the concerns of other cultivation and post-harvest team members ensures a safe and responsible workplace. Specifically, the accuracy and care in trimming buds and weighing and packing eigths, as well as the handling of finished plants during harvest, and the proper disposal of waste are at the forefront of the technician’s priorities.
Technicians have the distinction of participating heavily in quality control over all trimmed and packaged product the facility furnishes for stores and vendors. There are many levels of quality control that multiple departments participate in, but the short time spent with the post-harvest team is crucial, considering its frequent handling and contact with multiple containers and surfaces. The Post-Harvest Technician’s role in maintaining a sanitary and organized inventory of product depends upon the detail and thoughtfulness s/he exhibits in this position; primarily, the ability to effectively compartmentalize strains, batches, and corresponding numeric values to reduce any confusion or mislabeling.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, detail-oriented and collaborative Post- Harvest Technician to support the company’s post-harvest activities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt to our business model and is a collaborative team player but also a self-starter. Previous cannabis cultivation experience is not required. Role reports to the Cultivation Manager.
Responsibilities
- Environmental checks & ongoing observation
- Harvesting
- Correctly utilizing appropriate checklists, logs, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures

- Monitoring environment in cure areas
- Protecting finished product from waste or loss
- Trimming
- Sorting usable product and trim into distinct batches
- Packaging product and trim

- Cleaning & sanitizing
- Keep work and break areas free of clutter and debris
- Ensure work uniforms are as clean as possible

- Update any personal information which may be required for contact, payment, benefits, tax purposes, or similar contained in an employee’s personnel file
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education and Skills
· Minimum of one year cannabis growing/trimming/industry experience preferred
· Certification(s)/education in agricultural, horticultural, or botanical practices
· Previous experience with inventory software, Excel, and Google spreadsheets
· Education in agriculture, horticulture, or botany preferred but not necessary
Other Requirements:

Post-Harvest Technician – Grand Rapids, Michigan

Fluresh has two state-of-the-art integrated operations in Adrian and Grand Rapids, Michigan, to grow, harvest, process, provision and package the highest quality medical and adult use cannabis products.
Position Summary:
The Post-Harvest Technician for our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility will be responsible for working to complete post-harvest activities in an indoor grow facility. Additionally, the incumbent shall be responsible for activities related to harvesting, trimming, and any other handling of cannabis. The role requires strong teamwork orientation.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- While working in a team, keep harvest area organized in order to facilitate production goals.
- Ensure efficient post-harvest processes including bucking, trimming and other activities are executed.
- Collect all related non-resinous components to be weighed and recorded as aggregated waste per the associated harvest batch, after all plants designated to that specific harvest batch are harvested.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized harvest area to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure trimming properly accounts for all related plant components, including; trimmed leaf, trimmed flower, and stems, and waste.
- Ensure accuracy and traceability of trimming data by carefully collecting all plant material into its designated container with the associated METRC plant tag, after each plant is trimmed.
- Perform weighing of plants or plant material during trimming and harvesting, as indicated by the SOP.
- Immediately report any issues or deviations from quality standards to the Post-Harvest Supervisor during all post-harvest processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety by wearing required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to prevent contamination and abide by personal hygiene standards.
- Working in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
- Other duties as assigned by the Post-Harvest Supervisor.
- Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma required.
- 1-3 years experience in cannabis production.
- Knowledge of plant strains, plant structure, and plant health.
- Knowledge of uses and benefits of cannabinoids.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- A combination of the above shall also be considered.

ROLE:
The Post-Harvest Associate will be responsible for completing tasks associated with the harvesting and finishing of cannabis plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take direction from the Post-Harvest Manager and Leads
- Complete harvest in a safe and timely manner
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Clean and reset all equipment, pots, and tools to prepare for each harvest
- Follow all safety standards and abide by PPE requirements
- Ensure a high standard of quality during all harvest processes
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures for the harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, packaging (if applicable) and extraction (if applicable) preparation process
- Set goals and meet deadlines
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development, as needed
- Work collectively and respectfully with other team members
- Hand or machine trim flower in a quick and efficient manner
- Maintain steady trim numbers while adhering to quality standards set by management
- Responsible for accurately weighing and recording trim weights and numbers
- Able to sit for extended periods of time (8+hrs a day)

- Perform moderate to heavy manual labor
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of hands, wrists and forearms
- Work with Post-Harvest management to ensure all production schedule deadlines are met
- Dispose of waste in compliance with supervisor and state mandated procedures
- Additional duties as assigned in applicable sites:
- Package flower and pre roll products while adhering to strict quality standards
- Label packaging as directed by supervisor
- Fulfill orders as directed by supervisor
- Maintain inventory counts of raw materials, WIPs, and finished goods
QUALIFICATIONS *
- Experience and knowledge in horticulture and/or agriculture
- Previous manufacturing/ laborer experience
- Ability to work in an exceedingly fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage high stress, high urgency situations and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
- Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for long durations
- Self-motivated, committed, and ambitious
- Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- General tool, hardware, ladder, and building skills. Must be able to use a 12' extension ladder
- Working safely in a warehouse setting
- Ability to multi-task
- Remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations
- Ability to communicate through various formats including email and phone
- At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US
- Proper employment documentation
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPOSURE:
- Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, extreme high heat, extreme low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables
- Must be able to work in a greenhouse environment in inclement weather for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally in English at a minimum of conversation level.
- Bilingual Spanish/English highly desired.
