PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
The Store Manager will be The Farmer’s Wife team leader for their location, focused on compliance, customer experience, and workplace culture. This position is ultimately responsible for all daily operations at their dispensary location. The Store Manager will work closely with the Director of Retail to consistently implement pricing, inventory controls, cash management controls, SOPS, community engagement, local marketing efforts, security protocols, and a high level of customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Contribute to a high-quality culture focused on customer experience, compliance, mutual respect, cooperatively working as a team, and most importantly having fun.
- Ensure an industry leading patient/customer experience.
- Consistently implement SOPs to ensure compliant operations at all times.
- Along with local security contractors, maintain a safe work and retail environment for all employees and customers.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of cannabis retail professionals with assistance from the Director of Retail.
- Motivate and manage employees.

Job Summary
The Dispensary Co-Manager (DCM) is responsible to oversee and direct all day-to-day operations of the Dispensary, in tandem with the Dispensary Manager, including supervisory responsibility for all team members. The DCM will monitor reports, oversee the storing, tracking, counting, and safekeeping of cash, cannabis and other ancillary products, and will be part of the team that performs inventory audits for the Dispensary. The DCM is accountable to uphold the Company mission and values, lead the Dispensary team to accomplish the goals set forth for the Company, and ensure that the team always delivers exceptional patient service. The DCM will play a critical role in the onboarding, training and development of support managers and Wellness Advisors. Responsibilities
The Dispensary Co-Manager will excel at the following:
· Maintain strict compliance with all Company policies and applicable laws; Maintain records according to State law and Company policy. Conduct compliance audits to evaluate any potential compliance issues. Ensure compliance with all Dispensary SOPs, review processing metrics and work to improve efficiency. Ensure quality assurance standards and metrics are maintained.

· Oversee daily and weekly cash management, including regular bank deposits; Train staff on proper cash handling and inventory management

Oversee Dispensary events including the planning and execution of regular patient focused workshops, community events and patient request program. Confer with Leadership to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business.

Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, supply chain, hospitality or related field, or equivalent experience is required
Experience

· Experience in highly regulated or compliant work role or environment preferred.
· Experience in developing employee training. Track record of successful employee development and coaching.
· Experience in the medical cannabis industry and knowledge of Dispensary or pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements for COMAR regulations is a plus.

o. Perform daily sales reports and reconciliations and email out to owners, state-wide General Manager daily as part of the closing process. and;

Hold in strict confidence all of MHW’s proprietary and confidential information not generally known to the public, and Employee will at no time, without prior written authorization by MHW, disclose, assign, transfer, convey, communicate, or use for the benefit of any person or entity other than the Company, any Confidential Information, nor will Employee permit any other person or entity to use Confidential Information in any manner not authorized by MHW.

Job Summary
As the General Manager of The Haven Center Inc, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the dispensary, maintaining the day to day operations, and driving results, all while exemplifying and executing on the company’s values and culture. The General Manager is responsible for creating an environment that ensures the highest standards of patient care, the highest standards of compliance, and maximum productivity and efficiency by translating and implementing company strategies, policies, and procedures. As the public face for the organization, your duties will include interviews and public engagements; you should be able to succinctly communicate the organization’s values to a broad audience. You should be equipped to handle a level of complexity and scrutiny that do not exist in most other industries.
The ideal candidate will be professional, resourceful, hardworking, efficient, fast, and detail oriented. He or she will show grace under pressure and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intense, and dynamic work environment.
You will begin by hiring an all star operations team, orienting and developing that team, and getting the dispensary open, up and running. The GM will be an integral member of the executive management team and report directly to the Executive Director.
Hospitality and/or retail management experience is required. Any former military experience will be given strong consideration. Applicants must be able to read a balance sheet and income statement and understand cash flow statements and other basic financial forms. This dynamic individual should be adept at Microsoft Excel and Word, email applications, and general computer use, able to seamlessly multitask and aim for 100% accuracy.
Essential Duties

- Represent the organization’s mission to elected officials, media, and the general public
- Ensure legal compliance
- Develop and maintain a safe environment for all patients and staff
- Hire, manage and develop staff on an ongoing basis
- Create, run, and analyze management reports and use performance metrics to ensure patient satisfaction and efficient operations
The General Manager reports directly to the company’s Executive Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related experience
- Ten (10) years experience in retail and customer service
- Five (5) years experience in retail management
- Three (3) years experience in a General Manager role
- Three (3) years minimum experience with P&L responsibility
- Advanced math and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion to serve people with debilitating conditions
- Able to maintain a current Dispensary Agent Registration ID Card issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health
o All dispensary agents are required to be at least 21 years old;
o No dispensary agent can have been convicted of a felony drug offense in the Commonwealth or another state, the United States or a military, territorial, or Indian tribal authority; and,
o All candidates must qualify for a dispensary agent registry ID card issued by the MA DPH per the application process set forth by DPH.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Prior experience within the medical marijuana and/or health-related educational/professional backgrounds
- Experience in restricted access retail venues
- Former military experience
- Interest and aptitude for the healing arts
