Grow With Us
The Source is a medical cannabis dispensary based in Northwest Arkansas. Our mission is to support medical cannabis patients’ healthcare needs in a compassionate and welcoming environment. Not only do we offer access to high-quality, affordable products; we are also cannabis experts.
Founded in August 2019 in Northwest Arkansas, we’ve blazed new trails in the last year, opening 3 additional dispensary locations as well as a cultivation facility in Missouri.
As a result, we’re looking for top-notch people to join our mission. Let us be blunt, though. We are not a pot shop. We are a medicinal facility providing patients with education on the benefits of cannabis. Our patients are #1, and we equip ourselves with in-depth knowledge of the different products available and how to use them, plus their advantages and disadvantages. And we do this while maintaining a professional, friendly, and discreet attitude. No seeds or stems, please! We’re looking for fully mature bud(-tender)s.
A Budtender?
A good question. Thank you for asking. Officially, the title for this position is Patient Consultant. Unofficially, we consider our Consultants to be “budtenders.” Think bartender, but for medical cannabis patients. We listen to the challenges our patients experience, and then break off appropriate recommendations that fit their medical needs and desires.
How We Roll:
Our Consultants have a very special place in the Show-Me state because that’s exactly what we want to do. We want to show our patients what the medicinal benefits of cannabis are and how to administer them be they tinctures, flowers, cartridges, edibles, concentrates, or topicals. We want our patients to leave our dispensary 100% confident that they are going to make The Source their dispensary of choice. In order to do so, we’re looking for someone who has the following profile:
- Provides premium tier customer service including assisting patients with knowledge and understanding of the different cannabis products and dosage forms.
- Maintains a positive attitude and an ability to play nice with others in a team environment.
- Remains up-to-date on industry trends and state regulations regarding cannabis consumption.
- Supports managers, key stakeholders, and other consultants, as needed.
- Ensures accuracy with online and in-store orders.
- Stocks and replenishes displays and inventory.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation and store.
- Follows all safety and security protocols.
- Independently handles high-dollar cash transactions and register balancing. After all, we are a green business.
- Performs other duties as needed.
What Lights Our Fire:
We don’t want to bowl you over with expectations, but you’ll need the following to be considered for our team:
- 2+ years of customer service experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Outstanding work ethic.
- Professional and positive attitude and demeanor.
- Cannabis experience preferred.
- Experience handling high-dollar cash transactions.
- An ability to take direction and remain teachable.
- Availability to work nights and/or weekends.
A Few Extra Nugs of Responsibility:
- This is a part-time position and will require weekend availability.
- Due to state regulations, applicants for this position must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check. Certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.
- Applicants must also be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
- Our Consultants work on their feet anywhere from 6-10 hours a day and, at times, may be dabbed to concentrate their efforts on checking patient credentials at the front door prior to entry into the dispensary.
Not to Puff Our Chests But...
If you’re really into green businesses, we’d like you to know that we’ve expanded our mission to include a firm commitment to environmental sustainability. We are constantly seeking out new partnerships and new ideas for reducing our carbon footprint now and into the future. We’re installing new, eco-friendly, lighting inside our facility. We’re working on a solution for recycling our cannabis containers, and we’re working towards going as paperless as possible in our workspace. From container labels to receipts to our line of merchandise...we want to make sure we are doing our part as a service provider to offer our patients the best possible experience all the while being as responsible as possible for serving as stewards of our patients, our environment, and our global community.
It’s a lot to process. We know. So think it over. If you feel like you’re ready to lift your game and work in a medical cannabis facility with like-minded professionals, then light us up. We’d love to hear from you.
