The Role
As a Production Tech, you'll be an essential part of the process of turning raw cannabis flower into our beautiful line of medicated products. Under the guidance of the management team, you will produce, package, and handle products, perform inventory duties, adhere to compliance requirements, and keep safety as your top priority while working daily in our facility. - Deliver on production goals, while focused on safety and quality
- Produce product per recipes and SOP's, maintaining high quality standards
- Package product into proper containers with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Ensure all standards for processing procedures and laboratory protocols are followed
- Compliance with local and state regulations
- Adherence to quality control methods throughout entire process
- Documentation of manufacturing methods are created and maintained
- Electronically convert packaged products in the state traceability system
- Manage time efficiently to meet goals while consistently producing quality product
- Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area at the end of the assigned shift

The Role
As a Lead Flower Technician, you will perform a variety of plant maintenance activities to ensure the highest quality flower for our patients and consumers to enjoy. In this role, you will ensure the healthy growth of our cannabis plants and keep a safe, positive work environment and culture. In addition, you will be responsible for training new employees on our SOP's and best practices as well as performing required computer work.
Responsibilities
Safety, Quality & Compliance:
- Participate in department safety audits and hazard assessments
- Train new hires on department 5S requirements
- Ensure all employees execute processes in the guidelines of department specific training
- Report and escalate safety concerns
- Train employees on compliance with PPE and area safety requirements
- Train employees on compliance with GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements
- Train employees on all company and state required record keeping is accurate and complete
- Train employees on tools, equipment and machinery
- Ensure department inventory requirements are met
- Report and escalate quality concerns
Production:
- Use hands and hand tools to perform plant maintenance activities including defoliation, pruning, skirting
- Can function as a stand in for an area lead
- Communicate production goals and maintain tracking of performance
- Execute IPM activities, including spraying and all associated requirements of spraying
Job Knowledge:
- Follow department specific work instructions, SOP's and employee training
- Develop deep technical knowledge for the department
- The ability to recognize different strains, requirements associated with the strain, growth patterns and identify anomalies within the plants and recommend actions to address
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; associates degree or certifications preferred
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a manufacturing or agricultural environment
- Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Follow Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations
- Work closely with the fresh pack shift lead to ensure accuracy of packaging and labeling of fresh packs
- Accurately count, weigh, and label flower fresh packs in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Responsible for maintaining organization of all product in process, pre-package, and post-package
- Ensures accurate counts of all MIP products during all phases of project

The Role

- Work closely with the fresh pack shift lead to ensure accuracy of packaging and labeling of fresh packs

Purpose
This Data Technician (Flower Packaging) position is responsible for executing their daily role within the Packaging department as directed, at an effective pace with accuracy to achieve the weekly objectives for entry, inventorying, organizing, and reporting packaged product and data. This position must fulfill their role with efficient productivity and accuracy, and participate in their job with professionalism and safety, consistently. The Data Technician role will report to the leadership of the Packaging department.
Essential Duties
Procedures & Tasks
- This position is responsible for creating, inventorying, organizing, and reporting packaged product and data focused for the Packaging department. This role will take on a variety of duties, such as, creating packages and labels for varieties of dried cannabis product, inventorying and organizing packaged SKUs, reporting, auditing, and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining true accuracy and organization of all packaged product. This position may also assist with data entry for the Post Harvest department.
- Operating and functioning packaging software to prepare for deliveries.
- The employee will be responsible for their usage and accuracy in reporting and entering data for the CounterPoint and METRC inventory systems. Along with these systems, this role will also be responsible for organization and reporting data entries to spreadsheets and logs, including Counterpoint, LeafLink, METRC, and Google spreadsheet related tasks. Ensuring accurate and legible logging of a variety of spreadsheets and labels.
- Supporting the leadership to assist, guide, and train Packaging department associates to accurately package different SKUs and inventory packages. Support the team's understanding and ability to resolve issues of organizing and inventorying dried product.
- Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work, such as, Post Harvest dept tasks, Production dept tasks, cleaning, and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.
Training Requirements
- This position will follow the direction and training by the leadership of the Packaging department assigned to the Buckeye Lake, OH cultivation facility. The role is expected to engage in proactive participation to be able to achieve the high standard cultivation practices, consistently and compliant.

- Understanding how to compliantly operate within the cultivation based on the state laws and regulations.
Workspace and Material Maintenance
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on work surfaces, tools, and related equipment (scissors,
- table, floors etc.).
- Contribute to instructed cleaning, sanitizing, and organization in the Post Harvest department areas.
- Contribute and show support to associates with a safe, well maintained, and organized work area.
- After use of equipment or supply, follow through with cleaning and organizing SOPs.
Compliance and Reporting
- Follow all instructed state and federal compliance regulations.
- Update and track all required information in the Packaging logs, METRC, and company software and spreadsheets daily
- Supporting the organizing and securing of all packaging tags and labels.
- Compliantly following the SOPs for each objective consistently.
- Following instructed procedures will maintain compliance and safety. Any compliance or safety mistake or error created must be reported to the leadership of the department.
Supervision
- Works under the direct supervision of the Lead of Packaging and Supervisor of Post Harvest.
Job Requirement

Job Summary
The Flower Technician oversees all plants in the flowering stage. Through responsible care of plants from day 1 of flower through harvest, the Flower Technician is essential to ensuring the purpose of Ayr Cultivation is achieved—a scientific, data-driven, and no-nonsense approach to cannabis production. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in all aspects of flower room operations including room sets, trellising, pruning, spacing, canopy management, and post-harvest room cleans.
- Ensures daily production schedule and goals set by Cultivation Manager/Team Leads are met.
- Completes proper defoliation techniques on designated days in the flower cycle.
- Carefully monitors plants for signs of deficiencies or pest pressure.
- Responsible for maintaining plant health by removing dead leaves and unproductive nodes.
- Assists in the setup, monitoring and maintenance of irrigation systems and environmental controls.
- Performs plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with Sira Naturals, local and state policies.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all surfaces in the flower rooms, as well as sanitation practices concerning handling of plants according to Company procedure.

About This Role
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's cultivation operation from propagation to harvest. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
General cleaning duties, e.g., scrubbing and sanitizing trays in propagation room, veg room and various flowering rooms; cleaning miscellaneous growing equipment to maintain protocols; transferring plants from one stage to the next; de-fanning plants, removing waste, weighing & tracking plant waste
Completes regularly scheduled quality assessment of plants for signs of pests/disease under the training of the Cultivation Manager.
Ensure cultivation facilities are consistently stocked with appropriate supplies at all times.

Working Environment
This job operates in a professional, clean environment. This role routinely uses standard agriculture equipment such as pruning scissors, shears, spray bottles, measuring cups, beakers, and sanitization equipment. Employees will be required to gown into uniforms before entering the facility. Temperatures and conditions will be similar to most greenhouses: around 80 degrees F and 55% humidity. Employees will be exposed to fresh cannabis plants, and cannabis plant material. They will also be subject to loud noise from fans, pumps, and motors.

Job Summary
The Flower Technician oversees all plants in the flowering stage. Through responsible care of plants from day 1 of flower through harvest, the Flower Technician is essential to ensuring the purpose of Ayr Cultivation is achieved—a scientific, data-driven, and no-nonsense approach to cannabis production. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in all aspects of flower room operations including room sets, trellising, pruning, spacing, canopy management, and post-harvest room cleans.
- Ensures daily production schedule and goals set by Cultivation Manager/Team Leads are met.
- Completes proper defoliation techniques on designated days in the flower cycle.
- Carefully monitors plants for signs of deficiencies or pest pressure.
- Responsible for maintaining plant health by removing dead leaves and unproductive nodes.
- Assists in the setup, monitoring and maintenance of irrigation systems and environmental controls.
- Performs plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with Sira Naturals, local and state policies.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all surfaces in the flower rooms, as well as sanitation practices concerning handling of plants according to Company procedure.

About This Role
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's cultivation operation from propagation to harvest. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
General cleaning duties, e.g., scrubbing and sanitizing trays in propagation room, veg room and various flowering rooms; cleaning miscellaneous growing equipment to maintain protocols; transferring plants from one stage to the next; de-fanning plants, removing waste, weighing & tracking plant waste
Completes regularly scheduled quality assessment of plants for signs of pests/disease under the training of the Cultivation Manager.
Ensure cultivation facilities are consistently stocked with appropriate supplies at all times.
Ensures all equipment and systems (mechanical, lighting, fertigation/plumbing, etc) are properly maintained
Inventory procedures as they relate to proper plant counts, tracking information for inventory to ensure that our facility is always operating in compliance
Mop up spills, leaks and make sure safety signs are in place to caution employees on wet floors, oily surfaces and other occupational hazards as soon as they are noticed.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at appropriate times as this position may be exposed to splash hazards, high temperatures and chemicals. Complete training will be provided upon hiring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Filling, packaging, labeling, sealing and other duties associated with preparing product for sale.
- Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness in the facility, especially the packaging and trimming areas.
- Ensure all labeling is properly done to adhere to compliance requirements of the company and the State of Maryland.
- Responsible for regular maintenance and cleaning of all packaging equipment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and meet KPI standards set by the Lab Manager.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to improve and promote quality.
- Work in a quick and efficient manner, and strive to consistently increase productivity.
Education and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Flower Cultivation Technician provides daily care of medical marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for shipment to the processing facility. During the cultivation season, the Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering, and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing, and packaging of the plants. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations are essential for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Daily care of medical marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants
- Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Lead Grower.
- Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation.
- Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the medical marijuana plants, including hanging, curing, and drying the plants.
- Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of waste according to strict compliance guidelines.
- Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process.
- Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.
- Carefully follow directions as provided by the Lead Grower.
- Willingness to continue to learn best practices of medical marijuana cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture, and greenhouse operating systems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in plant science, horticulture, agriculture, or related field is preferred, but not necessary. We will provide comprehensive training.

The Flower Cultivation Technician provides daily care of medical marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for shipment to the processing facility. During the cultivation season, the Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering, and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing, and packaging of the plants. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Daily care of medical marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants
- Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Lead Grower.
- Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation.

Garden Technician for Indoor Cannabis Cultivation Facility {State Flower}

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.

This is a full-time role in a rapidly expanding cultivation facility in San Francisco. We are offering competitive compensation commensurate with experience as well as health insurance and other benefits at 90 days.

The Cultivation Technicians are responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's cultivation operation from propagation to harvest. Essential functions include — but are not limited to — assisting the Cultivation Manager in various ways such as cleaning, cloning, transplanting, IPM applications, pruning plants, planting and resetting rooms as well as various miscellaneous tasks that fall under the day-to-day management of our gardens and their various individual departments.
Under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager, this team member will ensure that the facility is kept safe and compliant with OSHA standards as well as all state and local regulations at all times. This position will be responsible for following ALL Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as they relate to various aspects of our cultivation and to maintain compliance within our facility at all times. Cultivation Technicians will be responsible for many of key day-to-day tasks that keep our facility operating smoothly and our production cycle on schedule, so it’s critical that they possess a positive mindset, a capacity to problem-solve, as well as a “team-first” mentality. We are a small family here at State Flower and we are looking for a few solid individuals to join our growing family.
We are looking for someone with cultivation experience, a mechanical inclination, and a "pay-it-forward" start-up mentality. We have developed a highly efficient cultivation system and are looking to identify a qualified person who can help us continue to implement this system as we expand our operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
These include, but are not limited to, the following (other duties may be assigned):
- General cleaning duties, e.g., scrubbing and sanitizing trays in propagation room, veg room and various flowering rooms; cleaning miscellaneous growing equipment to maintain protocols; transferring plants from one stage to the next; de-fanning plants, removing waste, weighing & tracking plant waste
- Completes regularly scheduled quality assessment of plants for signs of pests/disease under the training of the Cultivation Manager.
- Ensure the cultivation facility is consistently stocked with appropriate supplies at all times.
- Ensures all equipment and systems (mechanical, lighting, fertigation/plumbing, etc) are properly maintained
- Inventory procedures as they relate to proper plant counts, tracking information for inventory to ensure that our facility is always operating in compliance
- Mop up spills, leaks and making sure safety signs are in place to caution employees on wet floors, oily surfaces, and other occupational hazards as soon as they are noticed.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at appropriate times as this position may be exposed to splash hazards, high temperatures, and chemicals. Complete training will be provided upon hiring.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Complies with safety requirements at all times.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the company and the cultivation department.
- Have a basic understanding of cannabis laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable.
- Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to cultivation with other areas being taught as the employee shows interest while still maintaining their capabilities as a cultivation technician.
- Skill in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed.
- Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor.
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, especially with direct supervisors and other co-workers.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent
- Previous wash/sanitation experience within a manufacturing environment, highly preferred
Desirable Qualifications
- Prior dishwashing experience
- Prior janitorial experience
- Prior trimming & cultivation experience

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to herbal aromas, dust, and/or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to perform carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
Ability to walk on uneven terrain.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 50 lbs. (100 lbs. with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and product.
Must not be allergic to or have a fear of insects.
Work is performed in a fast-paced cannabis grow location.

Flower Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Weigh and pack flower
- Ensuring waste is properly stored, either in the Plant Trash Bins or the General/Non-Plant Trash Bins.
- Monitor, clean and maintain all trim and packaging equipment and area. Operate all equipment safely in its intended manner.
- Ensure compliance at all times with all sanitation regulations and safety standards in the production of all extracted products produced by the company as set in the company's Policy and Procedure Manuals
- Follow weekly schedules to ensure there is proper coverage based on the business needs
- Reporting any instances of identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to wholesale manager or above.

Physical Demands: Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication may be required. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.
Work Environment: The job is performed indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water. Appropriate PPE will be provided. Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping and bending. Twisting in tight areas may also be required at times.
