The Propagation Technician is responsible for maintaining production plans including: cloning plants for flower production, cloning to preserve genetics with mother plants, hand watering and ensuring proper fertigation, transplanting clones and moving to veg stage, preparing plants to transfer to flower rooms, maintaining mother plants for cloning, maintaining environmental parameters in prop and veg, record keeping, and other duties as assigned.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate on daily team meetings for tasks to be performed and weekly team meetings for strategic planning
- Maintain environmental parameters and record changes made in propagation and veg rooms
- In communication with Lead Grower and Flower Technician, determine and execute production needs: cloning and transplant
- Monitor and implement necessary inputs in communication with Irrigation Technician and Flower Technician: water and fertilize
- General plant maintenance: prune, trellis, defoliate, inspect for pathogens, identify toxicities and deficiencies, and pinch.
- Repot juvenile plants into larger pots
- Prune plants in vegetative stage
- Complete necessary record keeping and input this information into the software tracking system.
- Cleaning or sterilizing all associated equipment used in the propagation process as well as the veg rooms, transplant, wash, and general storage areas in conjunction with Sanitation Technician.
- Observe, record and report information to the Cultivation Team about plant growth, pathogens, and environmental disturbances.
- Maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards and in acceptable condition for best practices with the plants.
- Build out grow rooms, including table construction and lighting
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- Working knowledge of medical and recreational cannabis industry.
- Working knowledge of general plant physiology and biology, cannabis specific knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work in hot humid conditions on concrete for long periods of time, standing, walking around, and preforming manual labor associated with plant care.
- Knowledgeable on regulations related to the Medical Use of Marijuana Program.
- Experience with inventory control methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills including listening, and communication.
- Ability to take direction, comprehend, and complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
- Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and experience working with senior level executives.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships in order to gain support and achieve results both internally and externally.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 50 lbs. (100 lbs. with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products.

Flower Technician is responsible for executing production plans in keeping with the Company’s operating procedures for greenhouse cannabis cultivation. The Flower Technician carries out the day-to-day assignments and tasks in the flower rooms of the Cannabis production cycle. Company operates under the highest standards of professionalism. Oversee transfers to flower rooms, take pH and EC readings in flower rooms to inform fertigation needs, pruning, defanning, maintaining flower room environmental parameters,
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with the Lead Grower and Cultivation Team to plan for growing activities that are consistent with planned production schedules.
-Prepares space required for planned production.
-monitors watering and feeding by taking pH and EC readings. Discusses these reading with Irrigation technician.
- climate control; labeling; and inventory data input into state mandated electronic tracking system.
-Monitors growing conditions and reviews changes in humidity, moisture and temperature and cultivation procedures to ensure conformance with quality control standards.
-Maintains records of environmental parameter settings and any changes made.
-Inspects crop to ascertain conditions such as leaf texture, bloom size and the existence of pests or disease; removing substandard or diseased plants to maintain quality standards.
- General plant maintenance: prune, trellis, defoliate, inspect for pathogens, identify toxicities and deficiencies, and pinch.
- -Plant monitoring and care during vegetative and flowering phase: trimming and staking; big leafing and pruning; plant care, watering and feeding; plant monitoring and climate control; pest and disease control; inventory data input.
-Harvesting: cutting plants; trimming cut plants; removing flowering tops; weighing and inventory data input into the electronic inventory tracking system. Working with dry and cure room technician
-Curing: hanging and dry-racking flowers; monitoring curing process and climate control; labeling; weighing and inventory data input.
-Operating and maintaining cultivation systems/equipment: monitoring, calibrating, running and maintaining lighting, irrigation, climate control and other cultivation systems; -stocking and handling production inputs and supplies; sanitizing and cleaning growing areas, cultivation workspaces and tools.
-Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols.

Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of nursery and cultivation practices but most importantly a desire to learn. The Flower Technician will be reporting to the Lead Grower and team meetings for daily tasks and work flow. Duties include working across all areas of flower production including: maintaining environments defoliating, trimming, packaging, maintenance, pest control, waste disposal and inventory management for all flowering plants in the facility.
Required Skills:
- Able to take direction and work well with others
- Manipulate plants into trellises or other conveyances for proper plant development
- Move plants into appropriate areas to ensure proper air movement and light availability based on the development of the plant
- Repot juvenile plants into larger pots
- Prune plants in vegetative and flowering stages
- Maintain work areas at a high level of cleanliness and hygiene; clean and sanitize all cultivation equipment daily, weekly, monthly, and as determined by the Lead Grower and during team meetings
- Conduct quarterly inspections and/or replacement of light bulbs, irrigation tubing, water aerators and pumps
- If applicable, apply organic pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides as needed
- Maintain a detailed check list of tasks
- Follow all state and company rules and regulations for batching
