WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Oversee the operational management and business activities of the Production department to meet the production plan for all manufactured goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Production (DP) is a key leadership role for managing and driving the day-to-day production activities of the Egg Harbor facility, enabling the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance objectives based on a linked-to-budget monthly production plan (w/management oversight and approval). Proven leadership skills with demonstrated operational knowledge and expertise to commercialize the business via strategic decision making, sound judgment and people management skills. Key areas of responsibility include demand planning, production scheduling, processing, supply chain planning, budget management, quality control and enabling the efficient distribution of medical marijuana products on behalf of NJ CCF.
General Operations and Duties
- Executes business strategy approved by the General Manager and Senior Vice President. Promotes and executes a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manages all facets of production, supply chain management and reporting including but not limited to: production output, labor output, inventory levels and usage, finished goods and production KPIs (analyzed to help drive continuous improvement).
- Supervises cost controls and manages expenditures based on the approved operating budget.
- Maintains awareness of current regulations – per CRC - and regarding workplace safety (i.e. OSHA). Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance in terms of any potential workplace injury reporting.
Production Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, integration and execution of all production functions reflecting compliance with regs, SOPs and tracked / monitored via relevant KPIs. Committed to improving processes for each function via regular SOP updates.
- Ensures the company's ability to produce, prepare and package the highest quality medical and adult-use marijuana products for retail and wholesale sales - effectively, efficiently and in compliance with CRC policies and procedures.
- Supervises short and long term production planning (informed by retail and wholesale sales' trends and feedback)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Production (DP) is an essential, on-site, and visible leadership role managing and overseeing the day-to-day production activities of the Syracuse facility, enabling the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial objectives (EBITDA is the lead metric) based on a production plan co-created with the General Manager. Proven leadership skills with hands-on operational knowledge and expertise to commercialize the business via strategic decision making, sound judgment and people management. Key areas of responsibility include cultivation, laboratory, extraction, processing, business development & management, supply chain planning, master scheduling, budget management, quality control and efficient distribution of medical marijuana products on behalf of NYCANNA.
General Operations and Duties
- Executes business strategy approved by the General Manager and Regional General Manager.
- Promotes and executes a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provides ongoing production reports including but not limited to: production KPIs, production output, finished goods, labor output metrics, inventory levels and usage, and highlights any challenges/resolutions.
- Supervises cost control and manages expenditures based on the approved budget.
- Maintains awareness of current regulations under the NY Office of Cannabis Management, and regarding workplace safety (i.e. OSHA). Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance in terms of workplace injury reporting.
Production Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, integration and execution of all operations from cultivation to packaging using compliant SOPs and relevant KPIs. Committed to improving the business process for each function from seed-to-sale (e.g., Cultivation, Extraction, Processing, Packaging, etc) via regular SOP updates.
- Ensures the company's ability to produce, prepare and package the highest quality medical marijuana products for wholesale sales and dispensaries - effectively, efficiently and compliantly (in compliance with OCM policies and procedures).
- Supervises and maintains production process planning (informed by wholesale sales and retail feedback)
- Works closely with the Production management team to prepare monthly production forecasts designed to minimally achieve/ideally exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts. Material planning includes materials, equipment, and additional resources.
Packaging Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination and execution of Packaging, Processing and Quality control.
- Ensures that the company provides safe, reliable medicine and products to dispensaries.
- Implements, adjusts and manages metrics to drive and achieve packaging efficiencies.
- Tracks and analyzes weekly reports from the Extraction manager to ensure consistent quality and quantities for packaging.
- Leads development of best-practices and key metrics for QC and efficiency.
RD & Quality Control
- Establishes ongoing testing protocols and standards, working closely with our Lab Manager and team
- Supervises the selection and development of genetics for the highest quality medicine, optimal yield and proprietary strains' creation.
Inventory Management and Distribution
- Develops product cost analyses, helps facilitate inventory reporting and works with Logistics manager to ensure deliveries are received to dispensaries to help the company achieve its business objectives.
- Ensures proper inventory controls are being followed.
- Partners with the Management team to develop and manage forecasts for long-term supply planning,
- Oversees implementation and use of inventory controls including use of Biotrack.
Production Facilities
- Ensures that all facility resources are well-maintained, well-organized, inventoried and reordered promptly.
- Responsible for the procurement of plants, materials, equipment (up to a defined $ level – set by the General Manager) and other resources.

They will have a strong design eye, in-depth knowledge and hands on experience with asset creation and print ready file set up across all channels as well as have a thorough understanding of pre-press, proofing, and the printing process. In addition, this role will not only manage, but also provide mentoring and assistance to the Production Designers in directing the implementation of the creative, setting up print ready files, reviewing their work, reviewing vendor proofs and providing feedback.

Essential Work Experience and Qualifications:

The Director of Production oversees production operations, under the guidance of the Director of Operations. QUALIFICATIONS

- Control inventory levels by conducting regular cycle counts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Production (DP) is a key, results-oriented leader with responsibility for organizing and overseeing the daily production of our company. General Operations and Duties
- Executes business strategy approved by the Botanist MA Regional GM and Director of Plant
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, and supervision of key production

- Supervises the Extraction, Processing/Packaging, Cultivation, and Logistics Managers. Carries out management responsibilities for these managers and their respective staffs in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
- Directs material planning. Prepares monthly forecast of equipment, materials, staff and additional
- Provides weekly production reports including but not limited to: production output, finished goods, inventory and highlights any challenges/resolutions.
- Conducts quarterly productivity analyses –staff/labor, process

Production Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, integration and execution of all operations from cultivation to logistics. Committed to improving the business process for each function – from seed-to-sale - through analysis and collaboration with the respective managers
- Ensures The Botanist MA ability to produce, prepare and package the highest quality medical marijuana products for
- Supervises and maintain production process planning (informed by Sales via marketplace feedback)
- Works closely with the management team to prepare quarterly production forecasts based on projected sales volumes and/or executive guidance to minimally achieve our quarterly and annual revenue
- Improves business process development and documentation via consistent SOP updates (e.g., Extraction, Cultivation, Processing, Packaging, Quality control and Inventory Management).
Packaging Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination and execution of Packaging, Cultivation, Processing and Quality
- Ensures that The Botanist MA provides safe, reliable medicine to
- Implements, adjusts and manages metrics to drive and achieve packaging
- Collects and analyzes daily and weekly reports from the Extraction manager to ensure consistent quality and quantity of medicine for
- Leads development of best-practices and key metrics for QC and efficiency.
- Improves process development and documentation via regular SOP
RD & Quality Control
- Establishes ongoing testing protocols and standards; working closely with our lab service provider, MCR Labs
- Supervises the selection and development of genetics for the highest quality medicine, optimal yield and proprietary strains' creation.
Inventory Management and Distribution
- Develops product cost analyses, inventory reporting, and delivery to dispensaries to ensure The Botanist MA achieves its business objectives.
- Ensures proper inventory control with the Inventory Management
- Collaborates with the Management team to develop and manage forecasts for long-term supply planning, while considering current inventory, lead times, and
- Oversees implementation and use of inventory control including use of Biotrack and METRC.
Production Facilities
- Ensures that all facility resources are well-maintained, well-organized, inventoried and reordered
- Responsible for the procurement of plants, materials, equipment (up to a defined $ level – set by the General Manager) and other resources. Must research products to ensure that they fully meet our facility's needs and negotiate
- Develops and implements regularly scheduled equipment maintenance program
- Conducts consistent review of all processes to ensure proper permitting and disclosure (based on MA regs).

Position Title:   Production Senior Director
The Production Senior Director will be a key contributor to the evolution and growth of Berkshire Roots’ production volume, quality control and continuous efficiency improvements. Utilizing a combination of manufacturing experience and cannabis production experience, the right candidate will use data-driven decision-making to ensure proper staffing, introduction of automation and other time-saving/cost-saving measures and forecast production requirements based on market demand. In collaboration with key Managers and Directors from each major department, the Production Senior Director will be the linchpin to creating a smooth running “factory” operation while accounting for the dynamic changes in the marketplace and available resources.
Key Job Requirements:
- Co-lead a staff of 40+ in conjunction with department heads
- Collaborate with manufacturing department heads (cultivation, trim, packaging, extraction, kitchen) to ensure proper and efficient staffing
- Research and recommend necessary equipment for innovation, automation and efficiency
- Determine capital and operating expenditure requirements to improve volume and efficiencies of the overall manufacturing operations
- In collaboration with department heads, develop product portfolio expansion criteria and feasibility of adding new products to manufacturing, as well as contributing to determination of flower strains to produce / potential yield and mix of third-party products to purchase in order to meet sales' demand

Position Summary/Objective
The Director of Production is responsible for leading the Company’s Pennsylvania production facility including all operational aspects and employees in collaboration with the Company’s subject matter experts in cultivation, processing and product manufacturing, supply chain management, safety, and quality and compliance. This leader will also be focused on achieving certain operating and financial performance targets. The Director of Production is a detail-oriented, operational leader and ensures the smooth and cost-efficient flow of company production through effective management, configuration, analysis and reporting. This role will support implementation of process changes, system enhancements, proactively analyzing business needs, executing short, mid, and long-term plans to meet business objectives, and building key internal and/or external customer relationships. This position will also have responsibility for leading and executing certain initiatives and workflows for the Company’s Pennsylvania and Massachusetts production facilities working closely with the President and operational leader of both the Pennsylvania and Massachusetts market.
The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated leadership experience. Previous cannabis production experience is not required. This position will be located at our Fairless Hills, PA location of our production facility, will report to the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, and is expected to eventually report to a Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities
· Work closely with plant and Company leadership to achieve scheduled production and monitor for adherence to plan

Qualifications
Required Experience, Education and Skills
