The initial point of contact for all members, member cultivators, service providers, the general public and official/law enforcement agencies. Responsible for ensuring that all staff and members are complying with dispensary policies and state laws and must always be vigilant of the activity occurring inside and outside the dispensary and other SPARC facilities.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for providing a friendly, knowledgeable and easily identifiable uniformed presence. The initial point of contact for all members, member cultivators, service providers, the general public and official/law enforcement agencies. Responsible for ensuring that all staff and members are complying with dispensary policies and state laws and must always be vigilant of the activity occurring inside and outside the dispensary and other SPARC facilities.

- Maintain high level of customer service at all times.
- Greet members, service providers, member cultivators, staff and community representatives in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Monitor and authorize member flow entry and/or exit of facility.
- Check person(s) entering the building for a valid membership and ID. Assist with member registration, as requested.
- Continuously patrol all dispensary premises, main office, etc., as well as other SPARC facilities when needed.
- Observe, identify and report events which may include criminal and/or nuisance activity, unsafe or dangerous conditions, fire and life safety hazards and other site related events to manager.
- Explain and enforce laws, city ordinances, Code of Conduct, and/or regulations to all visitors and/or staff.
- Complete incident reports and log books daily.
- Communicate over radio and coordinate other activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of outside areas at all times, including removing debris and completing opening/closing checklists.
- Complete closing janitorial procedures.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality.
- Perform other related work as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year experience referred, prior security guard and customer service experience required. Experience in the cannabis industry highly desirable, but not required. Bi-lingual Spanish speaker highly desirable. California Guard Card recommended but not required. Must be 21 years old and submit to a background check.

The dispensary area is very loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between extreme cold and hot temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Must have a strong comfort level to interact with members and co-workers, as well as local law enforcement. Work may be stressful at times and may include dealing with difficult people. Available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or city events.

- Primary decision maker in the absence of Retail Regional Manager.
- Oversee day-to-day dispensary operations while following strict controls to protect dispensary’s assets, i.e. cannabis, cash, etc.
- Analyze, organize and implement office operations and procedures, i.e. reviewing time clock punches, tip distribution, etc.
- Develop and give presentations to staff, leadership, and the greater public regarding retail operations, recruiting opportunities, and company overview.
- Maintain an accurate inventory for all items in the dispensary and reducing shrink
- Secures merchandise by implements security systems and measures
- Monitoring KPI’s and developing response to shifting in business
- Oversee dispensary supplies, appearance, and maintenance in accordance with set standards.
- Ensures merchandising standards are met in partnership with merchandising supervisor for increased sales and customer experience.
- Monitors staff and holds team accountable to dispensary policies and procedures while maintaining a continued awareness of industry.
- Elicit and process feedback from staff and members.
- Facilitate monthly Supervisor meetings, build leadership team through training and continued education. Assign weekly work lists and goals, follow up to ensure completion.
- Facilitate regular department meetings to increase knowledge and create an environment focused on member service and education.
- Observe employee performance and coach team on improvements (in the moment and privately), ensure all members receive high quality service from staff.
- Facilitate recruiting process, including reviewing resumes/applications, interviewing, and hiring.
- Oversee training of all new staff and ensure Training Manuals are up-to- date and accurate.
- Provides 90 day and Annual Reviews and disciplinary actions for all staff supervised
- Facilitates coaching, mediation, de-escalation of issues related to members and team members using positive and effective communication techniques.
- Plan and coordinate staff levels during peak and recession

- Meet weekly with Regional Retail Manager to report on dispensary status.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Product Coordinators are responsible for processing and maintaining active inventory stock of all sellable products for retail needs such as Flower, Edibles, Cartridges, Concentrates, Merchandise and all other finished goods products.

Responsible for all intake/receiving, product releases to the floor, as well as the communication and organization around these activities.

Responsible for receiving METRC transfers and verifying their accuracy. Report any METRC discrepancies to distributors, and the Product Management team.

Responsible for accurately building Treez purchase orders based on the invoice supplied by the distributor for all product purchases for retail sale.

Responsible for scheduling deliveries with distributors.

Responsible for tracking and applying all vendor credits.

Responsible for uploading all COA’s, expiration dates, and testing information to Treez.

Responsible for verifying the accuracy of product descriptions and merchandising information.

Communicate product, promo, and demo information to all retail staff as communicated by the Product Manager and Director.

Responsible for and coordinating the damaging and destroying of cannabis waste.

Ensure the online menu is up to date and accurate including that photos are consistent with the brand and product descriptions. Communicate any discrepancies with the web team and product management team.

Reviews daily retail daily inventory counts, investigates discrepancies, and completes

Works interdepartmentally to monitor inventory levels and make purchasing and reordering recommendations.

Fundamental math skills necessary. Working knowledge of Google Suite, METRC, and Treez POS. At least 1-2 years of professional experience using Google Suite. Experience in the cannabis industry, quality control and troubleshooting are highly desirable. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Dispensary Manager.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, credit card machine, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a busy cannabis dispensary. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times and may include dealing with difficult members and/or law enforcement. Available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or city events.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)1. Ensure strict controls to protect Dispensary assets at direction of Dispensary Manager and Assistant Dispensary Manager.2. Ensure member concerns are solved efficiently and promptly.3. Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.4. Give new members a tour of the dispensary.5. Recommend, select, and help locate the proper medicine or members depending on their individual needs.6. Communicate the effects of and different types of cannabis to members.7. Set up and break down display cases daily.8. Assist in display maintenance and housekeeping.9. Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.10. Communicate customer requests and/or problems to Dispensary Manager.11. Participate in inventory counts weekly.12. Ring up sales on Point of Sale System and handling cash and credit cards.13. Frequently maintain cleanliness, dusting, Windex glass, vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitization of dispensary.14. Maintains strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.15. Perform other related work as required.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1. Ability to dispense medications accurately and efficiently.2. Knowledge of medicinal effects to self and/or others.3. Ability to communicate with other associates and customers in all situations.4. Ability to adhere to the highest customer service with staff and the public at all times.5. Ability to perceive and meet the needs of the staff and members without direction.6. Ability to maintain high standards in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.7. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.8. Knowledgeable on strains, genetics, growing and effects of cannabis and medication.9. Ability to use math skills for Point of Service System and cash register.10. Needs to have high level of organization, patience, and flexibility.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience in cannabis industry highly desirable, but not required.Must be at least 21 years old and pass criminal background check.**
