Job Description:
The Quality Manager will be charged with helping to maintain an ISO credited QMS for a hemp/cbd company to include policy/procedure/work instruction document generations, internal audits, process mapping, and other tasks as assigned. This position will also assist in overseeing analytical laboratory testing services to further NuSachi’s business verticals. Experience with hemp/cbd/cannabis is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that NuSachi is compliant with regulatory standards and proficiencies required by US Hemp Law and applicable state regulations.
- Ensure that NuSachi is compliant with all necessary standards and proficiencies to acquire and maintain ISO 9001 certification.
- Outline SOPs and necessary quality manual documents as necessary to acquire accreditations, to include policy documents, procedural manuals, work instruction, and record keeping forms.
- Oversees NuSachi’s training program.
- Act as the main point of contact for NuSachi’s internal audit and customer audits program and participate in governmental and ISO accreditation audits.
- Work with Laboratory Management to ensure corrective/preventative actions and complaints are addressed promptly.
- Adhere to all ISO and relevant regulations as they pertain to the position’s function and duties.
- Participate in professional development courses and conferences as it pertains to the duties of this position and as directed by the Director of Quality.
- Address quality concerns and complaints with clients, initiating CAPA as necessary.
- Create Laboratory Quality Reports for the Director of Quality.
- Schedule, participate in, and/or lead Quality Management Meetings.
- Approve method validations and data review as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Chemistry, Microbiology or a relevant analytical field with 2+ years of experience in Quality Management.
- Must be well versed in ISO 9001:2015.
- Working knowledge of analytical chemistry for manufacturing quality control.
- Analysis of complex botanical matrices using HPLC.
- Experience in hemp/cannabis analytical testing.
- Knowledge of scientific method, data interpretation, and analyses.
- Experience with scientific research and technical writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel.
Desirable Skills:
- Master’s degree in Quality Management, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related field.

Job Description:
As a member of the NuSachi team, the Head Grower will collaborate with a diverse group of talented team members who are as passionate about their work as you are and are committed to delivering only the highest quality solutions for our customers. We seek a talented, passionate grower capable of performing all the tasks in the grow including: cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, super cropping, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays, trimming, packaging, waste disposal, and inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Writing and Implementing SOPs
- Manage a large-scale warehouse with various grow lights.
- Perform all the tasks in the grow including: cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, super cropping, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays, trimming, packaging, waste disposal and inventory management.
- Develop and/or maintain grow warehouse protocols and nutrient regiment.
- Research and maintain knowledge of new cultivation technologies including propagation, light fixtures, environmental control, grow media, nutrients, and IPM.
- Manage grow warehouse working crew of 25+ employees.
- Manage plants, giving each individual plant the attention it needs one at a time.
- Manage plant scheduling and organization to precisely project all garden needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to keep garden green and expenses low.
- Cataloging and analyzing each individual strain from clone to flower to harvesting.
- Cloning and manage vegetation with at least a 90% success rate.
- Execute preventative maintenance and elimination of all types of mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, fungus gnats, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Mastery of Ebb & Flow, DWC and Aeroponics growing methods, including in-depth knowledge of PH; PPM and EC counts.
- Mastery of Soil growing methods including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria, and nutrient implementation.
- Working knowledge in container systems with soil and hydro as well as understanding temperature and humidity manipulation.
- Expert knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
- Well researched in new techniques and insight to expand knowledge in nutrient of individual strains, high yield recipes, controlled stress environments to different lighting systems and set ups.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Strains; Sativa, Indica and Hybrids and mastery of medicinal implementation and knowledge of effects of strains and types of medicinal administration.
- Assist state and local government auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits.
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
- Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Growing for more than 5 years indoors.
- At least 3 years commercial grow experience as a Master Grower.
- Experienced in design and buildout of cultivation facilities.
- Installation and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and electronic controllers.
- Knowledge of large scale commercial plant cultivation including nutrient requirements, mediums, light requirements, temperature control, air flow, etc.
- Knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
- Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of grow warehouse.
- Advanced knowledge of the cannabis plant and genetics.
- Must be able to provide grow resume, pictures and portfolio at interview.
- Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail.

As a member of the NuSachi Processing team, the Hemp Cultivation Intern will gain an understanding of all aspects of the hemp production process, safety procedures, cultivation practices, processing practices, and company policy. Over the duration of this internship you will be trained in the practice of planting/cloning crops, strain ID/management, maintaining plant health, harvesting, dry/cure/trim methods and practices, and the processing strategies to make the end product. There will be additional learning opportunities with our practices and advances throughout the hemp and cannabis industries. The ideal candidates will be self-motivated and eager to learn and grow in a hands-on environment.
