The General Manager of Production is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing, extraction, and production of cannabis flower into infused products and finished goods as well as leading and inspiring a team of Production Managers and Supervisors to successfully achieve optimal Production performance. The General Manager is accountable for all manufacturing operations including the documentation, safety, quality, production-efficiency, on-time delivery, customer service, and financial performance of all production processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Oversee the operational management and business activities of the Production department to meet the production plan for all manufactured goods.
- Collaborate to develop and maintain up-to-date, efficient, and impactful Work Instructions.
- Ensure quality, safety, GMPs and all other applicable standards are followed.
- Ensure that all QC/QA protocols are being followed and maintained and the adherence to all business and industry license requirements
- Lead and document weekly business KPI reviews with Production managers; identifying and communicating all necessary action items
- Collaborate w/Enterprise Supply Chain to ensure production plans are met.
- Assist HR with employee processes or directives that impact direct reports
- Motivate production team by providing coaching, encouragement, inspirational leadership, and by giving consistent, constructive, & objective feedback.
- Ensure maintenance of necessary product inventory levels based on sales forecast and production schedules.
- Monitor employee performance to ensure that overall product quality and company safety standards are consistently executed
- Maintain records of departmental performance management, including supervisor-to-peer 1 on 1s, helping or intervention to direct reports as-needed
- Work closely with Facilities and Production leadership to supervise, document, and report all required equipment calibration and preventative maintenance processes and monitor the overall performance of equipment and machinery.
- Routinely visit the Production floor to support the Managers and Supervisors to coordinate and monitor production, direct the resolution of production delays, and oversee other production related issues
- Monitor volume and quality of output and adjust tasks when necessary to ensure Production throughput targets are met
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Retail to ensure the success of new product launches
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
- Routine report to direct supervisor on departmental progress and performance towards Production KPI's
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
Required
- Age 21 or over
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
- 5+ years of experience in high-volume production or lab setting for a food or cannabis organization
- 2+ years of experience with Production Manager title, or 4+ years of experience as high-level Production Supervisor
- Proficient in MS suite
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Advanced skills in inventory management and reporting
- Advanced knowledge of GMP
- Strong Analytical, Communication and EQ skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills; including the ability to strategically provide written and verbal direction effectively.
- Experienced in a leadership role in an environment that is fluid, fast-paced, and constantly changing.
- Warm interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of inspiring direct reports, and effectively motivating team to navigate past obstacles and uncertainty

JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Production Director will be instrumental in bringing to life the essence of the Cresco Labs family of brands and Sunnyside. This individual is responsible for implementing brand or campaign creative for marketing, retail, wholesale, events and any internal corporate requests. Work consists of collateral, digital/social, in-store posters/signage, advertising, OOH, displays, presentations, video and more. The Associate Production Director will oversee a team across the nation to cascade creative out to various deliverables across different states and sizes. This position is accountable for maintaining the integrity of the brands along with adapting layouts for multiple market/state versions with attention to each state's specific legal requirements. They will have a strong design eye, in-depth knowledge and hands on experience with asset creation and print ready file set up across all channels as well as have a thorough understanding of pre-press, proofing, and the printing process. In addition, this role will not only manage, but also provide mentoring and assistance to the Production Designers in directing the implementation of the creative, setting up print ready files, reviewing their work, reviewing vendor proofs and providing feedback.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Work with Creative Director to cascade creative out to various deliverable or states / versions
- From the lens of production, provide input on asset creation, photoshoots and file turn overs
- Lead the Production design process from start to finish across wholesale, retail and corporate initiatives
- Ensures adherence to brand standards in all Creative and Production work
- Oversee team to prepare print ready files for production and file QA of others
- Be able to work on multiple projects, simultaneously, while maintaining accuracy of execution
- Executes appropriate creative and content changes requested thru the review process, checking all work against requested changes before submitting for next review
- Review vendor proofs against released files for accuracy, provide feedback and direction
- Production management / vendor relations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- 8+ years in a production design environment, experienced in digital, print and video
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related
- Ad agency background and/or CPG/retail a plus
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat, and InDesign
- Excellent understanding of PowerPoint
- Solid asset creation, press ready file prep, QA and an in-depth knowledge of production and prepress process
- Design thinker
- Retouching experience
- Must be able to exercise independent judgement, decision-making and problem solving
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects at once within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and external business partners maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and efficiency
