General Operations & Duties
- Executes business strategy approved by the General Manager and Regional General Manager.
- Provides ongoing production reports including but not limited to: production output and finished inventory.
- Supervises cost control and manages expenditures based on the approved budget.
- Maintains awareness of current regulations pertaining to workplace safety (i.e., OSHA). Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance in terms of workplace injury reporting.
Production Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, integration and execution of all operations from cultivation to logistics using compliant SOPs and relevant KPIs. Committed to improving and streamlining the business process for each function from seed-to-sale (e.g., Cultivation, Extraction, Processing, Packaging, etc.).
- Ensures the company’s ability to produce, prepare and package the highest quality medical marijuana products for wholesale sales and dispensaries - effectively, efficiently, and compliantly (in compliance with OCM policies and procedures).
- Supervises and maintains production process planning (informed by wholesale sales needs and retail feedback)
- Works closely with the Production management team to prepare and execute monthly production forecasts designed to minimally achieve/ideally exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts.
- Works with Compliance and Security to develop and implement safety/risk management plans to ensure the safety of our facility and team members.
Packaging Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination and execution of Packaging, Processing and Quality control.
- Ensures that the company provides safe, reliable medicine to dispensaries.
- Implements metrics to drive and achieve packaging efficiencies.
- Tracks the delivery of consistent, quality Extraction production output.
- Leads development of best practices.
R&D and Quality Control
- Establishes ongoing testing protocols and standards, working closely with the Lab Manager and team
- Supervises the selection and development of genetics for the highest quality medicine, optimal yields and proprietary strains’ creation.
Inventory Management & Distribution
- Develops product cost analyses, inventory reporting and deliveries to dispensaries to help the company achieve its monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives.
- Ensures proper inventory controls and inventory management
- Partners with the Production management team to develop and manage forecasts for short and long-term supply planning, while considering current inventory on hand, lead times and COGS.
- Oversees implementation and use of inventory controls including Biotrak usage
Production Facilities
- Ensures that all facility resources are well-maintained, well-organized, inventoried and reordered promptly.
- Responsible for the procurement of plants, materials, equipment (up to a defined $ level – set by the General Manager) and other resources.
- Develops and implements regularly scheduled equipment maintenance program
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in operations or supply chain management.
- Minimum of 6 - 8 years in operations with progressively responsible experience in production (e.g., cultivation, extraction, etc), supply chain management, financials/budget management, strategic planning/forecasting, development, validation and execution of SOPs, ability to drive compliant quality controls, etc. Experience within the medical marijuana industry is required (from seed-to-sale)

Summary

Summary
The Assistant Cultivation Manager is primarily responsible for the overseeing the Cultivation Department and holding supervisors/team leads accountable to cultivation practices and standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Custodian will be responsible to perform a variety of cleaning duties, while maintaining all public and private sectors to the employer's standards. These duties will include, but are not limited to surface cleaning, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and bathroom services.
- The primary responsibility of the Custodian is to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the production facility.
- Daily cleaning duties throughout the facility of all common areas including bathrooms, floors, and other common areas
- Assist Cultivation/Processing departments in Equipment cleaning and sanitation processes.
- Emptying all trash in facility and keeping hallways clear of trash and debris.
- Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors.
- Assisting other departments with trash removal and staging during harvest or other times when a large volume of trash is being produced and removed. Ensure waste is disposed of properly and in accordance with the Cannabis Control Commission regulations
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on restocking of janitorial and bathroom supplies in addition to building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures

- Ensure necessary paper products (paper towels and toilet paper) are restocked as needed.

- Take on the daily care of existing clones, paying close attention to the changing irrigation needs through the clones' time in Prop.
- Inspect all clone trays every day; remove and document any dead clones on clone tracking sheet and deletion log, being sure to remove the appropriate BioTrack tags (from the back of the series) from the bag of "untagged" attached to the tracking sheets.
- Assemble supplies for propagation 1 day prior to cloning.
- Maintain awareness of clone supply inventory and communicate any restocking needs to Cultivation Manager and Purchasing Manager via email.
- Ensure that all clone trays are prepared and labeled properly.
- Work with Cultivation Manager to continue developing and refining Clone Care SOP
- Document on prop tracking sheet when first roots appear by strain/pheno.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on prop racks and in prop area.
- Instruct co-workers in proper clone preparation and daily care techniques
- Monitor quality and quantity of clones taken, as well as the pace of prop crew; Carefully log mother plant ID's and the corresponding #'s of clones taken from each mother plant.
- Follow prop sheet closely, making sure that the target numbers are being reached and that clones from different mother plants are not grouped together in the same tray (viroid concerns).
- Make sure that reusable prop supplies are cleaned and sanitized in a timely manner.

- Printing, organizing, correlating, and preparing of BioTracks labels and METRC tags as needed
- Preparation of reports needed for cyclical inventory of Mother Plants and available plant material for cloning

- Inspect all clone trays every day; remove and document any dead clones on clone tracking sheet and deletion log, being sure to remove the appropriate BioTrack tags (from the back of the series) from the bag of "untagged" attached to the tracking sheets.
- Assemble supplies for propagation 1 day prior to cloning.
- Maintain awareness of clone supply inventory and communicate any restocking needs to Cultivation Manager and Purchasing Manager via email.
- Ensure that all clone trays are prepared and labeled properly.
- Work with Cultivation Manager to continue developing and refining Clone Care SOP
- Document on prop tracking sheet when first roots appear by strain/pheno.

Processing Technician
General Summary: Under the supervision of the Processing Lead, the Processing Technician will assist with all Post-Harvest responsibilities, up to the point in which the material is handled for further processing at The Botanist's cultivation facility. This position is responsible for a variety of daily tasks, including but not limited to the following examples:
- Responsible for plant inventory within the dry rooms and through the drying and shucking process
- Monitor and oversee the environmental conditions of the dry rooms to ensure they remain within acceptable tolerances
- Responsible for assisting with multiple types of harvests ("Fresh Frozen" and Standard harvest)
- Responsible for the removal of plants from the dry rooms based on the schedule of the drying process
- Assisting in the removal of flowers ("shucking") from branches based on the schedule of the drying process
- Assisting in the recording of plant material and waste weights through paper records, roll-forward spreadsheet, and seed-to-sale tracking software(s) (Biotrack and METRC)
- Move plant material into quarantine area as it awaits third-party testing results
- Assisting in the monitoring the "moisture content" of the plant material after the shucking process and prior to the material being sent out for third-party analytical testing
- Prepare samples of plant material from each harvest batch, in 10 lb. batches, for third-party analytical testing
- Consolidate plant material into long term storage containers once third-party testing has been received and remove from quarantine area
- Assisting in adhering required labeling to consolidated long term storage containers
- Perform routine inventory audits of material within the Post-Harvest Department
- Assisting in the 'curing' process of the plant material in long-term storage and ensure the material is maintaining the appropriate "moisture content"
- Always adhere to state and company policies, following appropriate Standard Operating Procedure according to assigned task
- Verify quality control standards are being met throughout every phase of the Post-Harvest production process, while material is under chain of custody

General Operations & Duties
- Executes business strategy approved by the General Manager and Regional General Manager.
- Provides ongoing production reports including but not limited to: production output and finished inventory.
- Supervises cost control and manages expenditures based on the approved budget.
- Maintains awareness of current regulations pertaining to workplace safety (i.e., OSHA). Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance in terms of workplace injury reporting.
Production Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, integration and execution of all operations from cultivation to logistics using compliant SOPs and relevant KPIs. Committed to improving and streamlining the business process for each function from seed-to-sale (e.g., Cultivation, Extraction, Processing, Packaging, etc.).
- Ensures the company's ability to produce, prepare and package the highest quality medical marijuana products for wholesale sales and dispensaries - effectively, efficiently, and compliantly (in compliance with OCM policies and procedures).
- Supervises and maintains production process planning (informed by wholesale sales needs and retail feedback)
- Works closely with the Production management team to prepare and execute monthly production forecasts designed to minimally achieve/ideally exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts.
- Works with Compliance and Security to develop and implement safety/risk management plans to ensure the safety of our facility and team members.
Packaging Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination and execution of Packaging, Processing and Quality control.
- Ensures that the company provides safe, reliable medicine to dispensaries.
- Implements metrics to drive and achieve packaging efficiencies.
- Tracks the delivery of consistent, quality Extraction production output.
- Leads development of best practices.
R&D and Quality Control
- Establishes ongoing testing protocols and standards, working closely with the Lab Manager and team
- Supervises the selection and development of genetics for the highest quality medicine, optimal yields and proprietary strains' creation.
Inventory Management & Distribution
- Develops product cost analyses, inventory reporting and deliveries to dispensaries to help the company achieve its monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives.
- Ensures proper inventory controls and inventory management
- Partners with the Production management team to develop and manage forecasts for short and long-term supply planning, while considering current inventory on hand, lead times and COGS.
- Oversees implementation and use of inventory controls including Biotrak usage
Production Facilities
- Ensures that all facility resources are well-maintained, well-organized, inventoried and reordered promptly.
- Responsible for the procurement of plants, materials, equipment (up to a defined $ level – set by the General Manager) and other resources.
- Develops and implements regularly scheduled equipment maintenance program
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in operations or supply chain management.
Minimum of 6 - 8 years in operations with progressively responsible experience in production (e.g., cultivation, extraction, etc), supply chain management, financials/budget management, strategic planning/forecasting, development, validation and execution of SOPs, ability to drive compliant quality controls, etc. Experience within the medical marijuana industry is required (from seed-to-sale)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with the Director of Plant Operations and General Manager to implement all standard operating procedures (SOPs) in relation to state regulations and CCC compliance for both the dispensary and production facilities.
- Remains abreast of relevant industry-related and state-mandated laws and regulations, analyze their impact and make recommendations to operations and management.
- Develops collaborative relationships with MA CCC representatives and regulators.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. This includes providing guidance to management on implementing policy and/or process changes to comply with new and/or changes to regulations.
- Collaborates with others in operations to develop policies, procedures and communications encouraging employees to report violation of company policies and/or government regulations such as, potential selection of third-party vendor(s).
- Leads internal audits to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Collaborates with Security Manager, Dispensary Manager, and Director of Plant Operations to identify risks, ensure compliance to OSHA regulations and ensure loss prevention methods comply with privacy and other applicable laws. This includes working with the Acreage Corporate Compliance Team to implement training programs to ensure compliance.
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and accuracy of all required reports, documentation and equipment.
- Oversees any recall and/or health/public safety issues. This includes reporting to government agencies, developing communication to dispensaries and/or consumers, working with the management team to develop a corrective plan.
- Respond to management inquires and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Coordinate the security and logistics protocols surrounding the logistics and successful delivery of product.
- Evaluates participation in community events and other marketing efforts for risks. Also ensures marketing activities comply with federal and/or state regulations.

The Custodian will be responsible to perform a variety of cleaning duties, while maintaining all public and private sectors to the employer's standards. These duties will include, but are not limited to surface cleaning, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and bathroom services.
- The primary responsibility of the Custodian is to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the production facility.
- Daily cleaning duties throughout the facility of all common areas including bathrooms, floors, and other common areas
- Assist Cultivation/Processing departments in Equipment cleaning and sanitation processes.
- Emptying all trash in facility and keeping hallways clear of trash and debris.
- Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors.
- Assisting other departments with trash removal and staging during harvest or other times when a large volume of trash is being produced and removed. Ensure waste is disposed of properly and in accordance with the Cannabis Control Commission regulations
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on restocking of janitorial and bathroom supplies in addition to building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures

- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment inside the cultivation and surrounding areas
- Follow all State mandated regulations pertaining to the cultivation of cannabis operations
- Develop working knowledge of all equipment within specified grow rooms including but not limited to irrigation system/components, fan operation, reading of BMS and lighting equipment.
- Proper usage, maintenance, and storage of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacuums, pumps, hoses, carts, pruners, scissors, stools, gloves, rags, and personal protective equipment
- Maintain effective communication with Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Supervisor for crop needs
- Be vigilant while conducting the daily inspection of plants to identify pests / disease / deficiencies / excesses, intersex traits, male flowers, abnormal growth, and report findings to Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Supervisor.
- Responsible for the daily care of crop cultural practices from seed to clone to harvest
- Review and comply with all procedures and instructions on in-room checklists
- Maintain accurate record of cultural practices, data collection, other crop-related logs as assigned by the Cultivation Manager and Supervisor
- Learn and cross train across all cultural practices throughout each growth phase
- Implement daily feeding and care schedule as directed by Cultivation Manager and Supervisor

- Assist in completion of secondary cultivation labor tasks at the direction of the Cultivation Supervisor/Lead

General Operations and Duties
- Executes business strategy approved by the Botanist MA Regional GM and Director of Plant
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination, and supervision of key production

- Adheres to and enforces The Botanist MA policies and procedures in accordance with Massachusetts Laws, Rules & Regulations (CCC). Reports any
- Responsible for implementing and enforcing company policies (procedures, staff training, ).
- Supervises the Extraction, Processing/Packaging, Cultivation, and Logistics Managers. Carries out management responsibilities for these managers and their respective staffs in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
- Directs material planning. Prepares monthly forecast of equipment, materials, staff and additional
- Provides weekly production reports including but not limited to: production output, finished goods, inventory and highlights any challenges/resolutions.
- Conducts quarterly productivity analyses –staff/labor, process

- Supervises and maintain production process planning (informed by Sales via marketplace feedback)
- Works closely with the management team to prepare quarterly production forecasts based on projected sales volumes and/or executive guidance to minimally achieve our quarterly and annual revenue
- Improves business process development and documentation via consistent SOP updates (e.g., Extraction, Cultivation, Processing, Packaging, Quality control and Inventory Management).
Packaging Operations
- Responsible for the overall management, coordination and execution of Packaging, Cultivation, Processing and Quality
- Ensures that The Botanist MA provides safe, reliable medicine to
- Implements, adjusts and manages metrics to drive and achieve packaging
- Collects and analyzes daily and weekly reports from the Extraction manager to ensure consistent quality and quantity of medicine for

RD & Quality Control
- Establishes ongoing testing protocols and standards; working closely with our lab service provider, MCR Labs
- Supervises the selection and development of genetics for the highest quality medicine, optimal yield and proprietary strains' creation.
Inventory Management and Distribution
- Develops product cost analyses, inventory reporting, and delivery to dispensaries to ensure The Botanist MA achieves its business objectives.
- Ensures proper inventory control with the Inventory Management
- Collaborates with the Management team to develop and manage forecasts for long-term supply planning, while considering current inventory, lead times, and
- Oversees implementation and use of inventory control including use of Biotrack and METRC.
Production Facilities
- Ensures that all facility resources are well-maintained, well-organized, inventoried and reordered
- Responsible for the procurement of plants, materials, equipment (up to a defined $ level – set by the General Manager) and other resources. Must research products to ensure that they fully meet our facility's needs and negotiate
- Develops and implements regularly scheduled equipment maintenance program

This position will be working in multiple locations and be subject to interacting with all demographics of the community.

- Ability to travel independently for demonstrations and other events is required
- Ability to lift heavy items including tents, tables, and boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to be in contact with and handle food products
