Position Overview
The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority is seeking an Information Systems Analyst to help build and maintain technical backbone of the Center for Criminal Justice Data and Analytics and provide support for ICJIA. ICJIA retrieves and warehouses Illinois criminal justice data in a secure environment, while providing views of the data for research work at ICJIA and for public use using tools such as R, Python, PostgreSQL and Tableau. An ideal candidate would be interested in public service and applying data science to real world problems related to criminal justice.
Job Responsibilities
1. Codes, tests, reviews and implements complex queries (using R, Python, and/or SQL) for extraction, storage, and manipulation of sensitive information and criminal history record information data from the State Police CHRI Ad Hoc database to fulfill CHRI (Criminal History Record Information) User Agreements, respond to information requests, and for ICJIA research projects.
2. Designs, tests, implements, and supports complex custom secure and private data warehouse platforms which support ICJIA’s research data collection, data analysis, and data extraction functions. Reviews staff needs and user requirements, sets priorities, plans, and production timetables. Develops and maintains accurate documentation of applications and necessary hardware using Linux (and Windows) for service administration. Corrects problems identified in the custom software solutions and provides technical assistance and training to other ICJIA staff members on data warehousing and reporting solutions.
3. Supports ICJIA’s web presence by ensuring the secure and privacy during the dataset extraction from data warehouse platform to publishing to the State of Illinois Tableau platform or similar platforms. This includes but is not limited to recoding text and data files using RStudio Workbench and updating existing data and data tools; plans, develops, tests and implements reasonableness testing to optimize the accuracy while ensuring the security, privacy, and integrity of the source data being posted.
4. Completes statistical analysis for using statistical software packages, primarily RStudio Workbench using both R and Python, with use of version control systems and keeping sufficient documentation for external code review. Provides code review for others at ICJIA.
5. Analyzes the meaning and content of datasets and data transmissions from outside entities, determines accuracy of data transmitted, codes and implements strategies to securely integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., internal, external).
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four years of college, supplemented by three years of professional experience in a related Information Technology field.

IT Business Analyst, (ISS 6) – Fast-paced Information Technology Team!
As an IT Business Analyst (BA), you will provide business analysis and elicitation efforts for a suite of modernization projects for the OLCC within the Office of Information Systems (OIS).
The OLCC has embarked on an exciting modernization effort to streamline processes and reduce or eliminate legacy systems. The agency-wide Enterprise Modernization Program will transform the agency’s efficiency and technical agility over the next 5-10 years. OLCC projects include Distilled Spirits Supply Chain system, Marijuana/Liquor Licensing and Compliance system, Privilege Tax system, migrating to managed infrastructure, as well as expanding the spirits distribution center. In this role, you will be a key member of the team responsible for implementing a portfolio of technology solutions that will support the strategic direction of the agency on an enterprise level.
Who are we?
The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) is the agency responsible for regulating the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in Oregon by administering the state’s Liquor Control Act and regulating the sale of recreational marijuana in Oregon through the Control, Regulation, and Taxation of Marijuana and Industrial Hemp Act.
The agency is comprised of three major operational programs; the Distilled Spirits Program, the Recreational Marijuana Program, and the Public Safety Program. All three programs are supported by the Administration, Financial Services, and Support Services divisions. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will document business needs from subject matter experts as well as work cooperatively with contractors, staff, and other state agency representatives to resolve problems/issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (such as liquor store owners, spirits manufacturers, alcohol distributors, marijuana retail stores, marijuana processors, and marijuana producers) to map processes, elicit requirements, and achieve project objectives.
This position is one of five within the OIS Project Team consisting of the Project Management, Vendor and Customer Relations Manager, the IT Business Solutions Analyst (OPA 4), two project manager/ business analysts, and the ISS6 business analyst. This team is responsible for planning and executing IT projects and supporting OIS strategic initiatives as well as providing operations analysis for systems and process improvement.

Business Analysis: Systems and Process Improvement
- Participates with agency staff on business needs analysis for changes in business functions and processes. Develop, analyze, and review business, technical, and functional requirements. Work in close partnership with agency teams to develop solutions and analyze product requirements to meet business goals.
- Conducts cost benefit analysis, evaluates system alternatives, and determines the technological and operational feasibility of alternative applications/systems.

IT Project Manager and Business Analyst, (ISS 7) – Fast-paced Information Technology Team!
As an IT Project Manager/Business Analyst (PM/BA), you will provide leadership, project management, and business analysis for a suite of modernization projects for the OLCC within the Office of Information Systems (OIS).
The OLCC has embarked on an exciting modernization effort to streamline processes and reduce or eliminate legacy systems. The agency-wide Enterprise Modernization Program will transform the agency’s efficiency and technical agility over the next 5-10 years. OLCC projects include Distilled Spirits Supply Chain system, Marijuana/Liquor Licensing and Compliance system, Privilege Tax system, migrating to managed infrastructure, as well as expanding the spirits distribution center. In this role, you will be a key member of the team responsible for implementing a portfolio of technology solutions that will support the strategic direction of the agency on an enterprise level.
Who are we?
The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) is the agency responsible for regulating the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in Oregon by administering the state’s Liquor Control Act and regulating the sale of recreational marijuana in Oregon through the Control, Regulation, and Taxation of Marijuana and Industrial Hemp Act.
The agency is comprised of three major operational programs; the Distilled Spirits Program, the Recreational Marijuana Program, and the Public Safety Program. All three programs are supported by the Administration, Financial Services, and Support Services divisions. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will manage project scope, manage risk, and work cooperatively with contractors, staff, and other state agency representatives to resolve problems/issues. Additionally, you will lead and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (such as liquor store owners, spirits manufacturers, alcohol distributors, marijuana retail stores, marijuana processors, and marijuana producers) to map processes, solicit requirements, and achieve project objectives.
This position is one of five within the OIS Project Team consisting of the Project Management, Vendor and Customer Relations Manager, two project manager/ business analysts, a dedicated business analyst, and the IT Business Solutions Analyst. This team is responsible for planning and executing IT projects and supporting OIS strategic initiatives as well as providing operations analysis for systems and process improvement.
What are some of the supporting duties?
Project Management
- Lead the planning and development of goals, objectives, and direction for the project; staying within the prescribed project scope, time frame, and funding parameters, while meeting all stakeholder expectations.
- Produce all required project initiation and planning documentation, e.g., project charter, scope definition, work breakdown structure, schedule, budget as well as prepare issue, risk, change, communication and quality management plans.
- Coordinate with internal program staff to ensure project management timelines are reasonable and to promote the efficient and effective management of state systems.
- Develop and manage master project plans that coordinate individual work tasks, schedules and project budgets.
- Assemble and lead meetings with project team members and stakeholders to define project scope.
Business Analysis: Systems and Process Improvement
- Participates with agency staff on business needs analysis for changes in business functions and processes. Develop, analyze, and review business, technical, and functional requirements. Work in close partnership with agency teams to develop solutions and analyze product requirements to meet business goals.
- Conducts cost benefit analysis, evaluates system alternatives, and determines the technological and operational feasibility of alternative applications/systems.
- Works with agency staff and stakeholders to identify business requirements for system development and/or procurement. Craft comprehensive user stories and profiles. Develop and maintain logs, traceability matrix, workflow, backlogs, and other associated work products.
- Document current and future state of services and ability to perform comprehensive gap analysis.
Testing: Requirements and Specification Verification
- Produce and maintain quality assurance and test scripts to validate manual and information systems solutions against requirements and specifications. Ensure proper methodologies for quality control testing are maintained.
- Produce testing results reports to ensure system functionality meets or exceeds quality and all business requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee User Acceptance Testing activities prior to system acceptance.

Duties Description
Within the Data Analytics & Policy Research unit, the incumbent will use business analysis techniques to elicit requirements for outlining the Office of Cannabis Management’s business needs (e.g., workshops, focus groups, interviews, observation, brainstorming, surveys/questionnaires, system enhancements, project change requests) based on regulatory needs, industry surveillance, and program metrics.

Systems Security Analyst (Remote)
Overview:
The Information Security team at Weedmaps works collaboratively throughout the entire organization to align Information Security to the business and enable continued growth. Weedmaps is looking for a Security Analyst to join our expanding team. As a security analyst, you would ensure the Security of Weedmaps's products and services by reviewing and triaging security events and assisting in vulnerability management, incident detection and response, and provided best practices to the organization

JOB SUMMARY

corporate finance team in Chicago, IL. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the
integration of the consolidation system, BPC, with the new ERP system, SAP and supporting and
improving the reporting and consolidation process. Responsibilities will include ensuring proper
consolidation of financial results, maintenance of BPC and integration of all financial
information for newly acquired companies.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Perform data validation and reconciliation of results between financial systems to ensure
accurate reporting - Maintain and update master data (chart of accounts, cost centers, and other BPC
dimensions) and FX rate tables - Manage, schedule and improve data load processes
- Investigate, troubleshoot and provide support and solutions for system related issues and
incidents - Update BPC architecture and lead implementation of system improvements and system
changes - Build repeatable, consistent process for loading, consolidating and reporting new
acquisitions' financials - Assist with the development of business processes and accounting system SOPs to
maintain and strengthen internal controls - Create standard BPC reports based on business needs
- Support monthly and quarterly close and plan/forecast process
- Update the master data from the Company's current accounting structure to the new ERP
structure - Support the Financial Systems and Integrations team with ERP integration efforts
- Develop and conduct training for the new instance of the consolidation software in
alignment with the new ERP structure - Support cross functional projects related to the ERP and other system implementations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business degree with accounting or accounting
information systems concentration OR Bachelor's degree in information technologyrelated field with accounting/business concentration and/or MBA - 4+ years accounting and finance or financial systems experience
- Heavy experience with financial systems required (i.e., advanced user of MS Excel, ERP,
database, financial analysis, and consolidations systems) - CPA preferred

Regularly escalate project issues affecting scope, budget and timelines and future enhancements to the division director.
- Create, coordinate, and implement trainings on the use of reports and applications.
- Work with the Consumer Protection Division’s leadership team to track performance measures.
- Perform data processing activities in response to public disclosure requests.
- Collaborate with other City departments and elected officials to respond to data-related queries.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Gain an understanding of the organization’s business processes relevant to the project’s goals
· Document processes to help refine the problem the project is trying to solve; documentation almost always involves diagrams modeling how work is done
· Figuring out how the actual work differs from established policy, procedures, and protocols
· Brainstorm requirements a solution needs to have and participate in requirements gathering to ensure their knowledge has as much depth and context as possible
· Flesh out the details of a business solution, which requires a good understanding of how technological solutions are implemented
· Work cross-functionally with business team
· Work in cooperation with their application managers
· Work on more than one project at a time and so must constantly reevaluate their priorities and deadlines
· Recommend improvements to improve overall department effectiveness and efficiency
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field experience required
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
· The ideal candidate will have experience document business processes associated with Finance, Manufacturing and Retail.
· Understanding of information systems knowledge including ERP and Retail systems.
· Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
· Excellent written and verbal communications, organization, and planning skills.
· Strong communication, technical and remote collaboration skills.

The City of Portland's Office of Community & Civic Life is seeking a Business Technology Lead (BSA III) to join a dynamic team strategically working to promote an inclusive culture of civic engagement for all Portlanders, with a focus on enhancing the following core competencies:

As the bureau’s Business Technology Lead, you will lead and manage work to modernize the technology tools used by the Bureau to implement strategic priorities and to deliver services such as community engagement, community safety, and regulatory oversight in cannabis licensing, noise control, graffiti abatement, and liquor licensing.
The initial focus of this position will be on the Cannabis Program, enhancing its technical capabilities to better manage the program’s revenue collection and to deliver effective industry data analysis. Created in 2015, the Cannabis Program represents an entirely new line of business and source of revenue for the City of Portland. As a result, the Cannabis Program is well-positioned to pilot new technology solutions that will ultimately also benefit the entire bureau. Therefore, while this position is initially focused on the technology solutions for the Cannabis Program, the Business Technology Lead will be expected to lead implementation and transformations that allow for future expansion for other Bureau business needs, if applicable.
The person in this role will be the only position in the Office of Community & Civic Life responsible for technology project management and as such is expected to use exceptional quality control review and judgment skills.
Additionally, this role will:
- Provide technology business consulting and guidance for our bureau, including consultation and/or collaboration with other bureaus including Bureau of Technology Services (BTS) to determine other city solutions in use and feasibility for our bureau’s use cases
- Manage bureau technology projects, both large and small
• Analyze and document business operations requirements and technical workflows • Recommend feasible technology solutions and/or business process improvements
- Conduct and/or contribute to end-user training and change management communications
- Test, track and resolve systems issues, identifying opportunities for future enhancements and efficiencies
- Contribute to the maintenance, operation, and development of Citywide or Bureau/Office specific systems
An ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of systems analysis principles, practices, and techniques, strong communication skills (verbal and written), experience managing multiple technology projects at once, the ability to solve or troubleshoot complex technology problems, and the ability to translate the bureau’s needs to technical requirements for information systems professionals.
