A Trades Specialist (Bridge) performs a variety of skilled activities associated with the repair and maintenance of bridges and following are only examples of the work performed and should not be considered an all inclusive list of their activities and assignments which can be found in the Highway Maintenance Operational Guidelines.
- Operates gunite equipment in the pneumatic application of concrete to repair deteriorated areas of structural members.
- Measures, cuts and welds steel plates with acetylene and electric cutting and welding equipment to reinforce damaged and deteriorated structural steel.
- Erects scaffolds, rigs, slings and boatswain chairs and operates under bridge inspection equipment for the inspection, repair and maintenance of bridge super and substructures.
- Operates sand blasting equipment to remove deteriorated paint, scale, rust and other undesirable material from steel and concrete bridge surfaces.
- Works from blueprints, schematic drawings and written instructions fabricates elements of super and substructure, bridge railing and catwalks from structural steel.
- Operates a variety of self-propelled equipment including dump trucks, patching machines, pavers, etc. needed for bridge repair and maintenance projects.
- Supervises a bridge repair sub-crew on small bridge repair and maintenance projects.
- Secures required resources from Bridge Repair Crew or Residencies.
- Oversees, directs and works with sub-crew in performance of work to insure instructions, standards and safety procedures are observed.
- Confers with crew supervisor if unforeseen problems are encountered.

Responsibilities:
- Work with leadership team to develop project requirements
- Research vendor options and conduct a thorough vetting process
- Prepare cost and benefit analysis on technology initiatives
- Write comprehensive instruction manuals for staff to utilize
- Lead group and individual video / in-person staff training sessions
- Regularly test systems and look for areas to improve platforms
- Audit system usage to identify errors and provide staff follow up
- Act as the liaison between staff and 3rd party software vendors
- Assist with QA testing and new feature follow up with vendor
Ability to travel out of state for on site training and implementations
Qualifications:
5+ years of system analyst or related experience
- Experience in the cannabis industry is a huge plus
- Have a proven track record of deploying new system projects
- Strong written and verbal communication is critical
- Able to work in collaboration within a team environment
Be organized and have a keen eye for attention to detail
Education:
BS/BA preferred in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.

Description of Role:
Our analysts are constantly researching legislation, regulations, policy statements, and news in order to provide accurate and insightful analysis for our clients. Under the direction of the Lead Policy Analyst, the Junior Policy Analyst is expected to assist with the research of cannabis-related policy issues and adult-use cannabis licensure application preparation. Primarily, this role will focus on the development and writing of Social Equity Plans—a highly important and required part of the application process. As Junior Policy Analyst, you will be a crucial part of our regulatory team and are expected to be an excellent writer with the ability to understand and discuss a variety of topics related to cannabis. The successful applicant will be a detail-oriented, independent thinker with a basic understanding of the political dynamics in both Albany and Washington DC. Passion for social equity, politics, and policy is a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop a working understanding of cannabis legislation and regulation on both state and federal levels.
- Assist clients in maintaining compliance including applications, drafting correspondence with government officials, and helping to best understand how regulations affect their business planning.
- Follow political trends in the cannabis industry.
- Write policy briefs dissecting and analyzing proposed or current cannabis related legislation.
- Craft public-facing blog posts and comments regarding developments or opinion on cannabis related policy.
- Update existing policy briefs as new legislation is implemented or changed.
- Draft public comments on behalf of clients to state and federal regulatory agencies.
Education & Experience
- Experience in government, journalism, NGOs, government relations firms, non-profits, research, and/or policy think tanks a plus.

Drive execution of novel turn-key applications development

All successful applicants will be required to meet a background check & training program that includes job specific training on proper handling of cannabis products. Training will be required to be maintained annually for compliance with the Cannabis Control Commission.
Note: This role will have a period of travel and remote training at the beginning to become trained and assist in the development of commercialization path for future application development and business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with GC-MS Systems
- Knowledge of mass spectrometer theory and components is a must.
- Ability to troubleshoot GC-MS related issues.
- Experience in cannabis, food, environmental applications of mass spec is preferred.
- Experience working with federal agency requirements e.g. EPA or FDA a plus
- Ability to dissect problems and projects into manageable tasks.
- Passionate about working in a lab developing applications to address customer needs.
- Excellent group interaction skills and negotiating skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities.
- Excellent presentation skills in front of internal teams, customers, and large audience (during conferences).
