Processing Lab Technician
Curaleaf is looking for a Processing Lab Technician who can become an integral part of our organization and grow with our company. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative, and passionate, able to beat deadlines and find answers when it appears there are none. Our lab team is driven to produce high quality cannabis extracts and operates as a collaborative unit to prepare multiple cannabis concentrate bulk forms for the lab packaging department. This role will work to perform cannabis extract processing and production of related products. This person will also be responsible for operating cannabis extraction equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
- Clean glassware and sensitive lab equipment, as well as general cleaning of the lab areas.
- Work at an efficient pace in a production environment.
- Lift loads up to 25lbs.
- Operate technical machinery, following company SOPs.
- Perform general maintenance of equipment, tools, and workspace.

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our growing team! The Laboratory Technician will work within the Processing Laboratory Department and report to the Lab Manager. The Laboratory Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. This task includes but are not limited to: Prepping chemicals, preventative maintenance, Calibration, Tracking, Documenting, Packaging, Labeling, and Cleaning, in accordance with the state of Massachusetts and standards set by Curaleaf. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keeping their workspace clean (cleaning glassware, wiping down their work station, mopping, etc.)
- Tracking data through paperwork and on an iPad using our electronic batch record system
- Using our internal tracking systems BioTrack and METRC
- Responsible for increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste through ownership, teamwork, communication and collaboration.
- Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceed CL's specifications and patient's expectations.
- Ensures 100% compliance involving proper weighing, data recording, product tracking and security throughout all processes.
- Consistently operates in an efficient manner that also complies with all OSHA regulations, CSATC SOP's, CL SOP's, and all applicable required procedures
- Responsible for ensuring each product is properly labeled in compliance with the MA Regulations

Under the direction of the Dispensary Pharmacy Manager, Assistant manager oversees the operation of the Curaleaf Dispensary. Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the dispensary manager.
Improves dispensary sales, profitability, and image through extraordinary customer service, protection of store assets, supervising team members in the absence of the store manager.
Job Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Monitors and analyzes the customer service provided by team members. Offers feedback and coaching.
- Greets patients and offers assistance with products and services.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Curaleaf service traits.
- Resolves customer complaints and helps respond to customers' special needs.
Operations
- Supervises operation of the store and team members, opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation and scheduling team members
- Supervises the control of the store money including register counts, withdraws from the bank, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders and oversees all aspects of bookkeeping including ledger, invoices, cash reports and time records.
- Learns to analyze inventory trends and supervises inventory management, including ordering items, keeping stock, and leveraging company resources to avoid outs and overstock.
- Supervises receiving, stocking, pricing, returning, and transferring of merchandise.
- Ensures that store/grounds are clean and presentable; manages repair and maintenance; responds to emergencies.
- Supervises operations of assigned location including strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g. registers, Biotrack, etc.). Ensures response to all systems problems by contacting information technology support and seeking solutions.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed.
- Able to Travel on need basis to different location for training and assisting dispensary operations.
Daily Planning and Execution
- Assigns daily operational responsibilities and tasks and sets expectations for store team members and assistant managers.
Business Performance Management
- Receives exposure to analysis of financial and performance data for the store, pharmacy, and clinic.
- Reviews and analyzes asset protection data and develops and implements action plans to reduce loss.
People and Performance Management
- Manages team member performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals and expectations, observing performance, providing feedback and giving recognition. Manages employee career progression.
- Ensures training of team members; provides coaching and mentoring.
- Issues constructive discipline and makes discipline recommendations.
- Promotes teamwork and motivates team members by establishing expectations, tracking results, showing enthusiasm and sharing the vision.
- Ensures compliance with all corporate policies, applicable employment laws, and is consistently fair in the treatment of all team members.
- Develops and delivers performance management for direct supervisees.
Training and Personal Development
- Participates in the company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity and attends training requested by the Dispensary Manager, Director of Dispensary Operations and other company leaders
- Follows performance improvement plans offered by dispensary manager and director of dispensary operations
- Seeks self-development by monitoring own performance, setting high personal standards, learning about the fields of retail, pharmacy, and management, seeking best practices.
Communications
- Communicates regularly with team members through one-on-one discussions, group meetings, soliciting input, answering questions, and ensuring communication are open between management and non-management team members.
- Assists Store Manager in planning and attending community events.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree prior to position start date or High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
- Experience working in a heavily regulated industry necessary
- Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams
- Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/GED and 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
- Prior retail supervision experience.

Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy

Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
Follows SOP’s and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary
Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.
Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection and filing

The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will work within the Laboratory Department and report to the Laboratory Processing Supervisor. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Job Duties:
- Preparing for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heaters/chillers, ovens, balances, vacuum pumps, and other laboratory equipment.
- Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts.
- Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.
- Following procedures for extract purification including ethanol addition, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation.
- Assisting with the development of further purification processes and in-process materials, including processes for new products.
- Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed, maintaining inventory within state-issued cannabis inventory software.
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposing of waste according to state guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
- Washing and sanitizing laboratory glassware.

The Processing Lab Technician will support lab professionals and inventory department in the Cannabis Industry. Their primary duties include setting up lab equipment, analyzing and cataloging samples and performing general clerical duties. The individual will work together to ensure that all cannabis, from seeds to finished products, is tagged, logged, tracked, and recorded in Metrc in accordance with Standards and Regulations governing the legal Colorado MED (Marijuana Enforcement Division). The Inventory team is responsible for ensuring operations at all Curaleaf, Inc. licensed facilities by identifying needs, delegating internally, and taking initiative as needed to maintain Metrc compliance. Lab Techs assist Inventory & Metrc teams as necessary in developing and implementing the strategies, processes and procedures needed to maintain Metrc compliance and testing, without causing a negative impact to the timeliness of cannabis production operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Implement SOPs on Lab and Metrc operations for compliance with Metrc requirements
· Prepare, classify, and label samples for testing using various laboratory equipment.
· Conduct laboratory tests, analyze results, and document your findings.
· Maintain all required laboratory records, providing documentation of all activities, results, and reports to management.
· Report all waste per batch to state.
· Report any mistakes to proper authorities and make notes to back up resolution reached.
· Ensure use of correct CSV files and timely and accurate data reporting
· Responsible for executing tagging, labeling, weighing, and counting functions
· Assist in plant harvest and report weights per harvested batch to the State of Colorado.
· Assist in processing plants making sure batches come down in the way they were harvested, and ensure barrels are labeled correctly and put with incorrect batches.
· Send, receive, and reject transfers and inventory, including outgoing inventory and assist in getting samples for testing.
· Assist as necessary with inventory cycle counts for all licenses and license types, including any necessary investigations.
· Update/maintain/audit inventory for designated barn as product comes in, goes out or changes.
· If the product is RF’d, assist in the process and ensure the product does not spoil in bags after use.
· Disposing of waste and storing lab equipment after use.
· Cleanup workspaces on a consistent basis keeping the barns neat and tidy daily.
· Clean and sterilize equipment and work area.
· Cross train during down time, assist in field, transplants, clone care, GH maintenance, etc.
· Undertake basic administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.
· Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our growing team! The Laboratory Technician will work within the Processing Laboratory Department and report to the Lab Manager. The Laboratory Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. This task includes but are not limited to: Prepping chemicals, preventative maintenance, Calibration, Tracking, Documenting, Packaging, Labeling, and Cleaning, in accordance with the state of Massachusetts and standards set by Curaleaf. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keeping their workspace clean (cleaning glassware, wiping down their work station, mopping, etc.)
- Tracking data through paperwork and on an iPad using our electronic batch record system
- Using our internal tracking systems BioTrack and METRC
- Responsible for increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste through ownership, teamwork, communication and collaboration.
- Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceed CL's specifications and patient's expectations.
- Ensures 100% compliance involving proper weighing, data recording, product tracking and security throughout all processes.
- Consistently operates in an efficient manner that also complies with all OSHA regulations, CSATC SOP's, CL SOP's, and all applicable required procedures
- Responsible for ensuring each product is properly labeled in compliance with the MA Regulations
- Take instructions and help out on tasks delegated by laboratory management
- Responsible for the preparation of material to be processed in accordance with daily task
- Ensures consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing
- Performs all other assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe production facility
- Has understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all safety procedures to ensure the highest level of safety

Summary:
The Processing Lab Technician operates laboratory equipment and follows defined processes to extract and refine crude cannabis oil into post processed oil.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary
- Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection and filing
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement and cGMP data collection

Summary:
The Processing Lab Technician operates laboratory equipment and follows defined processes to extract and refine crude cannabis oil into post processed oil.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary
- Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection and filing
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement and cGMP data collection
- Maintain and record data in our seed-to-sale tracking software (BioTrackTHC)
- Maintain clean extraction and laboratory environment which adhere to GLPs and GMPs.

The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will work within the Laboratory Department and report to the Laboratory Processing Supervisor. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Job Duties:
- Preparing for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heaters/chillers, ovens, balances, vacuum pumps, and other laboratory equipment.
- Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts.
- Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.
- Following procedures for extract purification including ethanol addition, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation.
- Assisting with the development of further purification processes and in-process materials, including processes for new products.
- Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed, maintaining inventory within state-issued cannabis inventory software.
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposing of waste according to state guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
- Washing and sanitizing laboratory glassware.
- Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, and filing.
- Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.

Compliance:
- Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
- Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements.
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs and batch records
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Associates Degree with 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting preferred
- 1-2 years of experience with Supercritical Extraction highly preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must not have been convicted of any felony offenses pursuant to state statutes
Job Skills:
- Knowledge of and hands on experience with Supercritical Extraction and Rotary Evaporation desired
- Mechanical inclination with the ability to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot/repair laboratory equipment

Lab Processing Technician Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lab Processing Technician to support our production lab in Taneytown, MD. The Processing Tech will support our technical staff in the production, prepping and testing of medicinal cannabis products by ensuring an organized, clean, and safe work environment by performing the following functions.
Essential Job Duties:

Job Summary:
The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will be responsible for leading the Laboratory team, as well as monitor and maintain production in accordance with state cannabis regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Accurately weighing materials and recording those weights
- Maintaining accurate records
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory by performing conversions, adjustments, and transfers in seed-to-sale tracking systems
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to state guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis.
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary.
- Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.

The Lab (Processing) Technician assists the Lab Manager to ensure high quality product and carries out day-to-day tasks including: testing, prepping, extracting, and packaging. The Lab Technician must monitor and maintain production facility in accordance with the state of Ohio and standards set by the Company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute validation of analytical systems
- Operate spectrophotometer and viscosity meter for QC
- Assist in production; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant material and supplies for super critical CO2 extraction: emptying of extraction vessels.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment
- Operating, maintaining, and making adjustments and repairs to laboratory equipment such as analytical systems, pumps, microscopes, balances, rotary evaporator, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment
- Creating dilutions, HPLC diagnostics and repair, calibration

Summary:
The Processing Lab Technician operates laboratory equipment and follows defined processes to extract and refine crude cannabis oil into post processed oil.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary
- Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection and filing
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement and cGMP data collection
- Maintain and record data in our seed-to-sale tracking software (BioTrackTHC)
- Maintain clean extraction and laboratory environment which adhere to GLPs and GMPs.

The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will work within the Laboratory Department and report to the Laboratory Processing Supervisor. The Lead Laboratory Processing Technician will assist the Lab Manager by carrying out day-to-day tasks. It is expected that you will learn and be able to perform all tasks within the laboratory area.
Job Duties:
- Preparing for production by reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating requirements; assembling and weighing plant materials and supplies for extraction.
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment; Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintaining extraction equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
- Operating, maintaining, adjusting, and repairing laboratory equipment such as extraction vessels, heaters/chillers, ovens, balances, vacuum pumps, and other laboratory equipment.
- Operating extraction equipment to harvest terpene extracts and cannabinoid-containing extracts.
- Operating highly sophisticated purification equipment to convert crude oil into decarboxylated oil.
- Following procedures for extract purification including ethanol addition, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation.
- Assisting with the development of further purification processes and in-process materials, including processes for new products.
- Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and preparing requisitions as needed, maintaining inventory within state-issued cannabis inventory software.
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposing of waste according to state guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate.
- Washing and sanitizing laboratory glassware.
- Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, and filing.
- Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products.
- Performing related duties as assigned
Compliance:
- Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
- Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements.
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs and batch records
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Associates Degree with 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting preferred
- 1-2 years of experience with Supercritical Extraction highly preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must not have been convicted of any felony offenses pursuant to state statutes
Job Skills:
- Knowledge of and hands on experience with Supercritical Extraction and Rotary Evaporation desired
- Mechanical inclination with the ability to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot/repair laboratory equipment
- Ability to keep precise, highly detailed, and accurate records of calculations, procedures, and inventory of equipment, chemicals, consumables, and production
- Knowledge of scientific laboratory procedures and techniques as used in a chemistry laboratory
- Knowledge of scientific laboratory equipment and apparatus
- Knowledge of scientific methods of measurements
- Health and safety practices and precautions applicable to a chemistry laboratory
- Proper and safe handling and disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes
- Capabilities with computer systems, software, and hardware common to laboratories recordkeeping procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, along with frequent bending
- Close vision (unobstructed vision at 20 inches or less)
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds with assistance

The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working in our lab processing department, you will be responsible for properly packaging products, weighing products and manufacturing product by following company SOP's per company standards
- Labeling and recording inventory data
- Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to improve and promote quality
- Work in a quick and efficient manner and strives to consistently increase productivity
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the trimming room while performing all duties
- Responsible for increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste through ownership, teamwork, communication and collaboration.
- Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceed Curaleaf NJ's strict specifications and patient's expectations.
- Ensuring 100% compliance involving proper weighing, data recording, product tracking, and security awareness throughout all times.
- Consistently operating in an efficient manner that also complies with all OSHA regulations, CSATC SOP's, Curaleaf SOP's, and all applicable past, current, and future, required procedures.
- Take instructions and help on all tasks delegated by laboratory management to the team you are working with.

Summary:
The Processing Lab Technician operates laboratory equipment and follows defined processes to extract and refine crude cannabis oil into post processed oil.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract crude oil from ground cannabis flower
- Process and refine cannabis-infused oil thru winterization, centrifugation, filtration and decarboxylation.
- Preparation of equipment and grinding plant material for extractions
- Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
- Responsible for proper waste disposal according to guidelines and Curaleaf policy
- Operates and maintains extraction equipment used to extract crude oil from ground cannabis
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used to refine crude oil into post processed oil
- Reclaim ethanol used if winterization using a Rotovap
- Accurately perform calculations and dilutions of crude oil for winterization
- Accurately fill out electronic batch records and supporting documentation
- Follows SOP's and submits revision requests for SOPs according to new methods to optimize processes, as necessary
- Washes, sterilizes, and restocks laboratory glassware.
- Performs clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing, record keeping, data collection and filing
- Possess an understanding of scientific measurement, methods of measurement, units of measurement and cGMP data collection
- Maintain and record data in our seed-to-sale tracking software (BioTrackTHC)
- Maintain clean extraction and laboratory environment which adhere to GLPs and GMPs.

Role Overview
Grassroots Cannabis is looking for a Processing Technician Assistant who can become an integral part of our organization and grow with our company. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative and passionate.
Scope of work Details
Mass produce cannabis consumer goods for MD or PA medical market
General tasks
Maintain cleanliness of laboratory
Keep processing glassware clean and ready for use
Clean extraction equipment and processing facility
Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials
Clean glassware and sensitive equipment
Lift heavy loads up to 70lbs
Prepare equipment and plant materials for extraction
Maintain strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory
Use inventory tracking systems to ensure that all material is being tracked in accordance with state regulations
Assist Technicians with cannabis extraction equipment, tools, technical machinery and workspace;
Safely Operate
Clean
Preparation
Maintenance
Assist Technicians with the following types of cannabis oil extractions and filtrations
Supercritical fluid extraction
Simple distillation, short path distillation, wiped film distillation, and fractional distillation
Ethanol extraction
Filtration; Büchner funnel and multistage membrane filter
Solvent evaporation
Education and experience preferred (Not required)
Experience working in a commercial cannabis production facility
Degree in related science or engineering
Experience as a hydrocarbon, distillation, or ethanol extraction technician
Advanced knowledge of cannabis
Candidate requirements
Minimum 21 years of age (18 in PA)
Able to obtain a state-issued processing badge, which includes passing urinalysis and background check.
Possess the physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required to accomplish duties
Proficient with Microsoft outlook and Microsoft Office
Punctual and exhibits an outstandingly positive attitude
Acts safely and professionally in the lab setting
Follows good manufacturing practice standards
Able to work at a fast pace in a high production environment
Able to follow directions
Exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills
Self-starter attitude

Job Description: As a Laboratory Technician, you will work closely with the Head Scientist and the post-processing team to refine hemp oil into finished products in our labs. Responsibilities includeoperating wiped film molecular distillation, molecular isolation, vacuum ovens, decarboxylationand filtration equipment used to separate and purify active compounds from plant material.
- Assist Extraction Manager in all aspects of CBD post processing.
- Perform duties necessary for continuous cannabinoid processing.
- Troubleshoot down equipment and perform equipment maintenance.
- Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
- Follow Company standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce high quality active ingredients.
- Understand and follow all safety protocols.
- Monitor system operations and perform tests as required.

- Maintain inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and prepare requisitions as needed.

Job Description: As a Laboratory Technician, you will work closely with the Head Scientist and the post-processing team to refine hemp oil into finished products in our labs. Responsibilities includeoperating wiped film molecular distillation, molecular isolation, vacuum ovens, decarboxylationand filtration equipment used to separate and purify active compounds from plant material.
- Assist Extraction Manager in all aspects of CBD post processing.
- Perform duties necessary for continuous cannabinoid processing.
- Troubleshoot down equipment and perform equipment maintenance.
- Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
- Follow Company standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce high quality active ingredients.
- Understand and follow all safety protocols.
- Monitor system operations and perform tests as required.
- Record data for all procedures using computer systems or hard copy, whichever is appropriate.
- Maintain inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment, and prepare requisitions as needed.
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to guidelines, and keeping laboratory, store rooms and working areas immaculate.Skill Requirements:
- Familiarity with basic scientific principles and production terminology.
- Read and follow manuals for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Basic math skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals.
- Understanding and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the cannabis industry, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees.
- Highly detail oriented and organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability toward assigned tasks and duties

5150'FUSION is looking for a Lab Processing Technician who can become an integral part of our organization and grow with our company. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative and passionate. The Lab Processing Technician in this role will perform preparation and cleaning tasks efficiently. Operate, clean and maintain cannabis extraction equipment. Lab Processing Technician will be able to follow directions, act safely and professionally in the lab setting. Follows good manufacturing practice standards. Punctual and exhibits an outstandingly positive attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Preparation:
- Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials.
- Clean glassware and sensitive equipment
- Work at a fast pace in a high production environment
- Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs
- Operate technical machinery
- Use excel spreadsheets and email
- Perform setup and cleanup tasks
- Perform general maintenance of equipment, tools and workspace
General Responsibilities:
- Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory
- Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware.
- Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word record keeping
- Maintain cleanliness of laboratory, keep post processing glassware clean and ready for use, help to clean extraction equipment and general laboratory facility duties.
- Work in hazardous environments and conditions.
- You will be required to assist with cannabis extraction preparation, winterization, and filtration.
- You must be able to proficiently handle the following hazardous materials; butane, propane, ethanol, pentane, isopropyl alcohol, critically hot material, cryogenic cold material
- Interact with Metrc, inventory systems, and Excel reports to ensure that all material is being tracked in accordance with state law; as well as logging and reporting as required by state law
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Candidate must be a self-starter, flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of different strains of cannabis and concentrates
- Knowledge of extraction methods and purification of product
- Ability to execute techniques consistently
- Good documentation, inventory, and organization skills
- Ability to keep to a tight schedule
- Must be proficient with computers
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Must be 21 + years of age
- Must be able to obtain a state issued processing badge, which includes passing a background check Must possess the physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required to accomplish duties
