Position Summary/Objective

About This Role

The Facilities Captain will be responsible for the smooth operations of our plant/greenhouse in Marshall primarily, as well as other Retail facilities. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Continuously Refine Operations to Maximize Efficiency. A Facilities Captain must have an in-depth understanding of each facilities maintenance schedule, engineering specifications, local facility work activities and related applications / machines to support those activities. Utilizing your knowledge of support and delivery methodologies, partner with your co-workers to create continuous improvement opportunities by refining existing work activity to drive efficiency into the manufacturing or delivery of services. Primary duties include:
- Manage day to day physical facility operations, by maintaining a close working relationship with Greenhouse and Retail staff, and preferred vendors and service contracts.
- Coordinate, monitor and maintain building environmental controls and levels with Greenhouse Operations through the BMS system and provide daily audits.
- Plan facilities workload in a preventative maintenance plan and ensure coordination of outside
o contractors as required.
- Manage daily operations of the security access system and badge issuance.
- Coordinate fleet vehicle program, including lease registration, maintenance, lease terminations, and obtain new lease options.
- Maintain and operate HVAC physical plant per equipment manufacturerâs recommendations, and in a safe and trouble-free manner.
- Update AutoCAD file for office space planning and coordination of repairs.
- Order safety, housekeeping, and maintenance supplies when required.
- Lead special projects associated with building changes, including but not limited to construction, expansion, and reconfiguration.
- Provide oversight on special projects (e.g. construction projects, equipment selection, cost-reductions).
- Manage and maintain all electrical systems as necessary and as circumstances dictate, provide necessary cross-training of systems such as Fire Panel, UPS system, VFDâs, etc.
Secondary:
- Provide required technical support for development and manufacturing operations.
- Operate / program in coordination with production schedules and greenhouse operations computerized energy management systems.
- Take ownership to ensure that recognized facility problems are appropriately resolved.
- Maintain flexible schedule to meet unscheduled customer requests, including necessary overtime.
Analyze Material and Labor Costs. The Facility Captain will gather data concerning facility or equipment operations and determine the best course of action to drive a lean environment through an analysis of each value stream. The Facility Captain will determine what particular needs each value stream has and develop management control systems that will facilitate operational lean practices.
Primary duties include:
- Develop a comprehensive cost loaded Preventive Maintenance plan and complete maintenance/work order tasks as defined by weekly work schedule(s).
Secondary:
- Lead in the implementation of energy saving programs.
Design and Enact Control Systems and Procedures. The Facility Captain will develop and enact quality control procedures to resolve particular production problems and/or minimize overall costs. They also design facility-specific control systems that coordinate production activities to ensure that all products meet our safety and quality standards.
Primary duties include:
- Organize and track manifests for hazardous materials transported through Hazardous Waste Hauler.
- Coordinate Respiratory Fit-Test and train for employees requiring masks and use of filtration unit equipment.
- Maintain the Facilities information boards and electronic channels.
- Conduct internal auditing in adherence to cGMP standards.
- Working with the security card access system to maintain employee badges and access.
- Develop and assist in maintaining Emergency Response Program through Medical Response, Emergency Evacuation, and Facility Signage.
- Maintain a solid working relationship with outside regulatory agencies to ensure our compliance. Work closely with Compliance Captain for all facilities.
- Keep up-to-date documentation of minutes and attendance of meetings.

The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:

- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, Masterâs degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

About This Role
At Common Citizen, we believe taking care of our facilities is everyoneâs responsibility and thus we call our facilities engineer a Facilities Captain; working with the entire onsite team to keep each facility operating efficiently and effectively towards producing the highest quality, safest cannabis product with the greatest education at the lowest possible cost.
Reporting into the General Manager, the Facilities Captain will be responsible for the smooth operations of our plant/greenhouse in Marshall primarily, as well as other Retail facilities. In this role, your responsibilities will encompass leading the operational efficiency, cost analysis, management, control systems & procedures management across all the physical locations of Common Citizen.
As with everyone at Common Citizen, our Facilities Captain should also have a personal passion for contributing to the Common Citizen movement to end the social stigma that prevents people from discovering the higher quality of life that cannabis can provide.
This role will be based at our main facility, the greenhouse in Marshall Michigan, with occasional travel to other facilities.
What You Will Be Doing

Continuously Refine Operations to Maximize Efficiency. A Facilities Captain must have an in-depth understanding of each facilities maintenance schedule, engineering specifications, local facility work activities and related applications / machines to support those activities. Utilizing your knowledge of support and delivery methodologies, partner with your co-workers to create continuous improvement opportunities by refining existing work activity to drive efficiency into the manufacturing or delivery of services. Primary duties include:
¡ Manage day to day physical facility operations, by maintaining a close working relationship with Greenhouse and Retail staff, and preferred vendors and service contracts.
¡ Coordinate, monitor and maintain building environmental controls and levels with Greenhouse Operations through the BMS system and provide daily audits
¡ Plan facilities workload in a preventative maintenance plan and ensure coordination of outside
contractors as required.
¡ Manage daily operations of the security access system and badge issuance.
¡ Coordinate fleet vehicle program, including lease registration, maintenance, lease terminations, and obtain new lease options
¡ Maintain and operate HVAC physical plant per equipment manufacturerâs recommendations, and in a safe and trouble-free manner.
¡ Update AutoCAD file for office space planning and coordination of repairs.
¡ Order safety, housekeeping, and maintenance supplies when required.
¡ Lead special projects associated with building changes, including but not limited to construction, expansion, and reconfiguration.
¡ Provide oversight on special projects (e.g. construction projects, equipment selection, cost-reductions)
¡ Manage and maintain all electrical systems as necessary and as circumstances dictate, provide necessary cross-training of systems such as Fire Panel, UPS system, VFDâs, etc.
Secondary:
- Provide required technical support for development and manufacturing operations.
- Operate / program in coordination with production schedules and greenhouse operations computerized energy management systems.
- Take ownership to ensure that recognized facility problems are appropriately resolved.
- Maintain flexible schedule to meet unscheduled customer requests, including necessary overtime.
Analyze Material and Labor Costs. The Facility Captain will gather data concerning facility or equipment operations and determine the best course of action to drive a lean environment through an analysis of each value stream. The Facility Captain will determine what particular needs each value stream has and develop management control systems that will facilitate operational lean practices. Primary duties include:
- Develop a comprehensive cost loaded Preventive Maintenance plan and complete maintenance/work order tasks as defined by weekly work schedule(s)
Secondary:
- Lead in the implementation of energy saving programs.
Design and Enact Control Systems and Procedures. The Facility Captain will develop and enact quality control procedures to resolve particular production problems and/or minimize overall costs. They also design facility-specific control systems that coordinate production activities to ensure that all products meet our safety and quality standards. Primary duties include:
¡ Lead Safety Culture and Program. Provide support to remote facilities when required.
¡ Set-up training classes for M-IOSHA safety programs and other applicable trainings and perform routine facility audits at the facility.
¡ Organize and track manifests for hazardous materials transported through Hazardous Waste Hauler.
¡ Coordinate Respiratory Fit-Test and train for employees requiring masks and use of filtration unit equipment.
¡ Maintain the Facilities and Safety information boards and electronic channels.
¡ Conduct internal auditing in adherence to cGMP standards
¡ Working with the security card access system to maintain employee badges and access.
¡ Develop and assist in maintaining Emergency Response Program through Medical Response, Emergency Evacuation, and Facility Signage.

¡ Help to resolve outstanding safety items or concerns brought to the attention of the safety committee.

McNamara at Sand Point has 2 acres of production greenhouses, retail florist and gift shop, as well as retail garden center and wholesale plant business. In addition to wholesale customers, this location supplies plants and flowers to all of our Indianapolis area stores. The Greenhouse Manager and Assistant Grower heads the responsibility for the success and efficiency of these growing operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the day to day activities that provide the means of producing quality, salable plant products.
- The Manager is responsible for the efficient time management of assigned crews and sets and maintains the pace and quality of work within the daily job assignment.
- Responsible for communicating the crewsâ daily activities and progress and tasks completed and work hand in hand with the Head Grower.
- The Manager assists the Head Grower in monitoring and acting upon crop and grounds needs such as water, plant and site weeding needs, insect and disease issues, plant spacing, mechanical and chemical growth control needs, plant fertilization, scouting and application of both pre- and post-herbicide.
- Responsible for the monitoring of all facilities in the growing areas and to report any existing or potential repair issues to the Owner.
- Responsible for the proper unloading and placement of new plant material under the guidance of the Head Grower.
- Responsible for the upkeep, organization, and inventory control of all hand tools and vehicles used in the job function.

In this role you will...
- Consistently report cultivation updates, production issues, pestilence, staffing updates, and harvest weights to VP of Cultivation, upper management, and cross functional facility teams.
- Proactively identify issues to maintain better functionality of the Argus system, mother and clone room mechanicals, facility hardware, RO system, boiler system, and control system.
- Collaborates with VP and Assistant Cultivation Manager to provide feedback regarding Argus fertigation programs for all stages of cannabis cultivation to continuously improve overall production and plant health.
- Maintain communication with Argus for product improvement and software updates.
- Coordinate with the facility maintenance team and Director of Operations to address maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with VP, Director of Operations, and Facility maintenance team on HIPPO software to ensure proper maintenance of all greenhouse mechanical systems.
- Develop and maintain current SOPs for the oversite, training, and function of the greenhouse and all components
- Coordinate weekly meetings with Supervisors, and VP to discuss fertilizer programs, irrigation schedules, mechanical issues, lighting schedules, staff training, and cultivation and team impacts.
- Collect, compile, analyze, and report on facility and yield data, deliver detailed reports and suggestions for improvement.
- Manage the performance of Cultivation team by coaching team members, providing feedback and discipline to employees and using support as appropriate.

Garden Manager will be responsible for the Full Plant cycle planning and management. Including scheduling and execution of all garden work. Currently operating a weekly perpetual harvest cycle utilizing a team of 6-10 gardeners depending on greenhouse rotation. The Garden manager would assume responsibilities for long term and short term planning, and ensuring weekly execution of tasks towards strategic goals. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *
As an Assistant General Manager, you will support and partner with the General Manager to motivate and mentor 20+ employees. You will be inspiring a team of great people committed to creating a welcoming environment and making Harvest the #1 dispensary. The Retail Assistant General Manager must have good communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership and motivational skills with high customer service expectations, and strong conflict resolution skills.
- Support and partner with the GM to ensure maximum profitability and sales growth in all store functions by managing expense budgets, including deposits, accounts receivable, and profit and loss.
- Support and partner with the GM to maintain quality customer service by establishing and enforcing company standards, handling customer inquiries, and resolving any complaints.
- Support and partner with the GM to utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in store performance.
- Support and partner with the GM to coordinate with the Harvest retail ops, procurement and marketing team to understand the success of promotions, coupons, etc. and to recommend future promotions and sales.
- Support and Partner with the GM to perform inventory audits, assessments of productivity, and of new merchandise in partnership with other departments.
- Adhere to all cannabis state-specific regulations and laws, execute and enforce compliance efforts.
- In collaboration with the GM, review dispensary environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement in order to provide coaching to the team and take action to achieve operational goals.
- Train and develop direct reports to ensure successful growth month-over-month.
- Responsibility for continued employee professional development and appreciation.
- Identify and address staff training and needs.
- In conjunction with Human Resources, oversee the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process to build a team to deliver legendary customer service and patient care.
- Develop staff to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and lead daily, weekly and monthly team meetings.
- Establish schedule for the retail staff on a weekly basis including team member time-off.
- Maintain a positive attitude and instill the same in others to promote teamwork.
- Manage through challenging events to keep dispensary operating above standard.
- Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes culture, values and the mission of Harvest.

QUALIFICATIONS *
- At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
- Must successfully pass state law requirements to obtain applicable licensure and credentials.
- Proper employment documentation; reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- 3+ years in leadership/people management roles in a retail, hospitality, and/or sales setting is required-or equivalent
- Cannabis experience strongly preferred
- If necessary, ability to work 7 days per week (including holidays) and to be flexible with schedule.
- Previous success managing a location with P&L responsibility is required.
- Experience with recruiting, hiring, and team development is required.
- Experience with frequent interaction with customers, fulfilling the requests of customers, and taking responsibility for addressing customer issues, questions or suggestions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines, strong conflict management skills.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is required.

Cannabis Farm looking for experienced Garden Manager to take over cultivation management responsibilities for existing state of the art 24k SF greenhouse facilities. Farm has been operational for 5 years.
Garden Manager will be responsible for the Full Plant cycle planning and management. Including scheduling and execution of all garden work. Currently operating a weekly perpetual harvest cycle utilizing a team of 6-10 gardeners depending on greenhouse rotation. The Garden manager would assume responsibilities for long term and short term planning, and ensuring weekly execution of tasks towards strategic goals. Will report directly to the CEO, with 6-10 direct reports and a gardening lead to assist in task execution. Daily working conditions will be inside greenhouse with a small office with desk working area for computer use for planning/scheduling/tracking as needed. Expected time split 50/50 hands on vs planning and management. that will change as new company goals and opportunities arise in this extremely fast paced industry.
Must be extremely well organized, able to create long term and weekly work spreadsheets for accountability, adaptable, plant enthusiast, attention to minute detail in all areas, and logical and strategic problem solver. Must take personal responsibility and accountability for the garden and all the work completed and uncompleted to the quality standards expected.
Job responsibilities

Lead a crew of 6-10 gardeners.
Communicate expectations and appraise garden team member results. Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees when necessary; developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standard to optimize employee success.
Responsible for compliance with i-502 cannabis law, and traceability requirements and accuracy through Growflow.
Maintain adequate inventory levels for cultivation supplies.

Summary
The Mother Stock Supervisor is a role that requires a hands-on approach to assist the Cultivation Site head grower and Manager in shaping the mother stock program. The mother Stock Supervisor will work with the growers, inspecting the grow and insuring that the growers are following procedures and meeting the specified requirements set forth by the Cultivation Site Head Grower and Managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identify Mother plant deficiencies and adjust feed schedules as needed.
- Insuring the Mother grow area is clean and correct issues that exist.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate supply levels.
- Inspect daily mother plants looking for issues that arise; Report back to the Cultivation Management on all findings in the grow.
- Assists in managing plant scheduling to project all needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Make suggestions to increase the health and function of the Mother Stock Program.
- Assist in managing the employees.
- Delegate tasks to staff and assist in maintaining a compliant and clean facility.

Senior Grower/Production Manager
Milmont Greenhouses provides the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia customers with an extensive array of skillfully nurtured plants and gardening supplies. Most of the plants we sell are grown on site and sold in our year-round garden center. We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our management team as the Senior Grower/Production Manager.
The potential candidate should be a highly collaborative team member who will put Milmont's mission first and help to deliver remarkable experiences to our customers. The Senior Grower/Production Manager is responsible for producing high quality annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, hanging baskets and potted plants. Our growing facilities include 24 greenhouses totaling 58,000 sq. ft and over 1.5 acres of outdoor growing area.

Examples of Important Duties
- Assist with coordinating a complex schedule of crop production for retail and wholesale sales, special orders, and outdoor seasonal landscaping.
- Produce all seasonal annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, hanging baskets and potted plants.
- Monitor and control greenhouse temperatures, humidity, soil fertility and moisture levels.
- Receive seed, plug and herbaceous for production.
