Responsibilities:
- Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction
- Operating sub/super fluid extraction instrument using carbon dioxide
- Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and laboratory facility
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory
- Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate
- Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as data recording and maintenance logs

Job Description:
The Division of Laboratory Services at the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food is seeking a qualified individual for a Chemist III position to perform chemical analyses on cannabis and cannabis containing products as required by Utah law. This position may also be involved with the analysis of other agriculture-related sample types to support the regulatory mission of the department.
Pursuant to Utah Code §§ 4-41-107 and 26-61a-111, this job includes duties that arise from or directly relate to the Utah Medical Cannabis Act. Duties may require conduct which is in violation of the criminal laws of the United States with respect to the manufacture, sale, or distribution of cannabis. As a condition of employment, candidates who are selected to fill this position will be required to sign an Acceptance of Duties Under the Medical Cannabis Act Acknowledgment Form.
Principal Duties:
As a Chemist III, you will:
- Utilize laboratory instrumentation (e.g., LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC, ICP-MS) to perform chemical analyses on cannabis (medical cannabis and hemp) samples to determine cannabinoid composition and contaminant levels, including pesticide residues, mycotoxins, heavy metals, and residual solvents.
- Develop analytical methods and perform instrument and method validation.
- Prepare and analyze various types of cannabis samples (flower, concentrates, oils, etc.); interpret results and generate reports.
- Maintain technical data; review data records and files for detail and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Review and/or inspect work for quality, accuracy and completeness.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory; a minimum of 3 years is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop analytical methods using LC-MS/MS, LC-DAD, and ICP-MS.
- Strong background in sample preparation methods for complex matrices.
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment (e.g., ISO, GLP).
- Strong communication and chemistry specific technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform instrument and method validation.

Cannabis Farm looking for experienced Garden Manager to take over cultivation management responsibilities for existing state of the art 24k SF greenhouse facilities. Farm has been operational for 5 years.
Garden Manager will be responsible for the Full Plant cycle planning and management. Including scheduling and execution of all garden work. Currently operating a weekly perpetual harvest cycle utilizing a team of 6-10 gardeners depending on greenhouse rotation. The Garden manager would assume responsibilities for long term and short term planning, and ensuring weekly execution of tasks towards strategic goals. Will report directly to the CEO, with 6-10 direct reports and a gardening lead to assist in task execution. Daily working conditions will be inside greenhouse with a small office with desk working area for computer use for planning/scheduling/tracking as needed. Expected time split 50/50 hands on vs planning and management. that will change as new company goals and opportunities arise in this extremely fast paced industry.
Must be extremely well organized, able to create long term and weekly work spreadsheets for accountability, adaptable, plant enthusiast, attention to minute detail in all areas, and logical and strategic problem solver. Must take personal responsibility and accountability for the garden and all the work completed and uncompleted to the quality standards expected.

Work with CEO to develop and create long term strategy.
Create Long term plant schedule, down to weekly spreadsheets for work accountability to ensure all future harvest plant cycles are accounted for. Adapt future schedules by taking into account current issues, enviornmental variable, employee performance, etc.
Develop and Track KPI such as Lbs per SF, labor to yield ratios, etc
Successfully and detailed A/B testing new workflows for continuous improvement
Implement and Manage Integrated Pest Management. Must be familiar with common cannabis pest management (spider mites, root aphids, russet mites, etc)
Nutrient/Feeding schedule
Employee Safety
Yield tracking and efficiency optimization
Lead a crew of 6-10 gardeners.
Communicate expectations and appraise garden team member results. Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees when necessary; developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standard to optimize employee success.
Responsible for compliance with i-502 cannabis law, and traceability requirements and accuracy through Growflow.
Maintain adequate inventory levels for cultivation supplies.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Other responsibilities as required in support of cultivation.

Job Description
The Packaging Clerk performs warehouse duties including the sorting, organizing, weighing, packaging, filling, grinding, and labeling of products. Other duties include general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. We package a variety of products including pre-rolls, flower, oil cartridges, PAX cartridges, and dab products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading, storing, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, counting, housekeeping and safety functions.
- Accurate counting, quality control, and attention to detail are essential
- Pack, unpack, and mark stock items, using identification tag, stamp, or electronic marking tool or other labeling equipment. Labeling is a large part of the job.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects
- Neatly package, seal, fill and label a varied array of products
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for duration of shift
- Must be able to safely use a hot plate and heat tape on a regular basis
- Must be able to work extended hours before or after scheduled shift
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
