Job Description
We are looking to hire full-time Post-Harvest Team Member for our cultivation facility. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Defanning and Harvesting;
- Trimming a wide variety of strains;
- Bucking and sorting flower;
- Packaging processed material (jars and prerolls);
- Use of scales;
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and workspace daily;
- Additional tasks may be added to these duties.
Requirements
- Responsible for preparing final products for delivery to dispensaries; involves trimming top-quality cannabis flowers with great attention to detail in a timely fashion, assembling "pre-rolled packs," packaging cannabis products, etc.;
- Should expect to receive ongoing feedback on the quality and speed of your work;
- Will at times be requested to perform duties in other parts of the facility;
- Must be punctual, professional, and able to communicate clearly with their team leads, managers and other staff;

This position works on a small crew of farm laborers performing a variety of organic farming related tasks as directed by the crew leader, including but not limited to; seeding and propagation, planting, weeding, watering, pest management and harvesting a wide variety of medicinal herbs and plants, thereby contributing to the successful growth of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Assists with optimal farm production, by actively working in each area as directed, i.e. preparing soils and seed flats, applying fertilizers, transplanting, irrigating, weeding and harvesting crops as directed. Recognizes apparent crop disease or pest problems and brings to attention of crew leader.
2. Assists with optimal harvest yields, by following harvesting and processing instructions; including but not limited to, picking, separating, cleaning, drying, and evaluation of crop quality of each herb according to established procedures. Works with other crew members to ensure proper post-harvest handling and timely delivery of all harvested crops.
3. Works under the direction of the irrigation manager to assure adequate irrigation of all crops. Works with other members of the farm crew to install new drip and sprinkler systems, and adjusts system(s) seasonally, as needed.
4. Ensures safe and efficient use of hand tools and small power tools, by reading and following operating instructions at all times, asks questions of crew leader when in doubt on proper use of any tool. Maintains and stores tools as directed, to ensure safety and to extend the useful life of all tools.
5. Ensures safe-working conditions, by following established safety procedures at all times, participating in all required safety training, and remaining aware of safety concerns. Serves as a good role model for co-workers and student interns by practicing safe work habits and supporting all safety guidelines.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with a variety of other tasks, including running errands and making deliveries, as directed.Willingly provides back up for other members of the farm crew, including the landscaping crew, as directed.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required; plus one to three years of related hands-on experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with the cultivation of medicinal herbs helpful. One to three years farm experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bi-lingual preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

As a member of the Tryke Cultivation Team, you will gain a full understanding of the state-of-the-art cultivation process. You will perform day-to-day gardening operations with primary responsibility over specific areas and strains. Every day is a different challenge and you will be looked at to consistently ensure the highest consistent quality. You are a team player, with a high initiative to work on your own as well. You are able to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily plant maintenance to include watering and pruning.
- Documentation and record-keeping.
- Growing room setup and take down.
- Basic equipment calibration, inspections and maintenance.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment.
- Adhere to company standards and operating procedures.
- Operation of light equipment which may include fork lifts, delivery docks and loading levelers and pallet jacks.
- Pursues educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge, reads professional publications, maintains personal networks and participates in professional organizations.
- This position will require the applicant to routinely sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 8 hours. Position requires the occasional lifting of objects in excess of 75 lbs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.

Summary
- Assisting in setup, maintenance, cultivation, harvest, process, and packaging of cannabis plants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A successful candidate must be able to perform all duties satisfactorily.
- Maintain high horticultural standards and practices and follow all Company SOP’s
- Complete preparatory work, maintenance and movement of plants
- Assist in setup, nutrient mixing, and maintenance of plants and rooms
- Conduct intensive cleaning of equipment and general work areas
- Assist in receiving, inventory management, and stocking materials
- Accurate record keeping and data entry for all package, plant and company data
- Complete proper documentation and tracking of all activities necessary to be in accordance with all Company, State, and local requirements
- Follow all OMMA/OBNDD rules and regulations
- Ability to follow directions, perform duties with a positive attitude, take feedback and learn new tasks
- Must be able to pass criminal back ground check.
- VERY labor intensive and hot outdoor work.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Background check required
Licenses and Certifications
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a valid state driver's license
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Private Pesticide Applicator's License
- Must possess or be able to obtain a respirator fit test certification
- Must meet all OMMA, OBNDD, state, and local requirements for employment
Knowledge
- Excellent computer, mathematic, language, and reasoning skills;
- Knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis cultivation strongly preferred; but not required
- Familiarity with manufacturing procedures preferred;
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieves results with little oversight;
- Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities;
- Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks;
- Displays an ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement;
- Manages own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals;

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work standing or sitting in small areas for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outside in hot, humid, and sunny conditions for extended periods of time
- Ability to work for extended periods of time in a full-body Tyvek suit
- M-F 8am-4pm
