PSI Labs is looking for a Field Sampling Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for conducting sampling in the field and safely and securely transporting samples and relevant documentation to the laboratory for processing. Field Sampling Technicians will report to the lab at the beginning of each shift to collect their sanitized sampling kit, drive to licensed facilities for sampling events and return to the lab at the end of the shift to drop off and input samples into our LIMS.
A Field Sampling Tech must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products. All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, including a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) which must be clear to proceed.
Our Sampling Technician will:
- Driving to and from sampling events (requires several hours on the road each day).
- Follow all internal laboratory SOPs and state regulations while driving samples to and from the laboratory/clients’ sampling site.
- Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedures.
- Maintain sampling supply/equipment inventory.
- Complete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as needed.
- Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety protocols.
- Ensure proper Sample Submission form protocols are followed.
- Support laboratory-based functions including sample intake/preparation, etc.

- Complete all necessary intake forms.
Customer Relations:

- Make decisions on the condition of the product and advise the client if their product is ready to be sampled.

Summary
The Courier I is primarily responsible for protecting company assets by performing secure transport duties, including loss prevention during transport and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs shipping verification, including counting physical inventory and comparing counts with METRC manifest and verifying invoice accuracy for every shipment of state-regulated products. Maintains knowledge of cash handling policies and transports currency, coinage and bank deposits per company policy. The Courier II reports to the Transport Manager who manages all Transport Department staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times
- Adheres to company mission statement and core values; Maintains high ethical standards and professionalism, in all business interactions
- Transports approved items only, using appropriate company vehicles, based on the type of item being transported
- Responsible for selecting the appropriate assistive or safety equipment and shipping containers to ensure all deliveries of company-owned assets are performed in a safe, compliant manner and to prevent damage to items or facilities
- Use proper lifting technique to lift heavy items
- Responsible for the tracking, security, and accurate delivery to approved point of contact of approved items
- Adheres to approved schedule, route and zone when delivering approved items in approved shipping containers
- Responsible for performing daily inventory of shipping containers, removing them from vehicles and storing shipping containers in the security office overnight
- Perform DOT Pre-Trip Inspection and daily vehicle safety inspection
- Fuel vehicles per company policy, using WEX card at approved fueling stations
- Follow Vehicle Use Policy for fueling, maintenance, cleanliness, staffing requirements, DOT regulations, emergency procedures, approved break times/locations, and all other requirements
- Responsible for verifying all products for each delivery at each stop and confirming manifest accuracy to include product name, type, RFID number and inventory counts
- Responsible for connecting block heater to electrical supply for diesel vehicles, when vehicle is not in operation to ensure engine operation in cold weather conditions
- Secure products while in transit and protect products during loading and unloading per company policy
- Observe, respond to and report security threats
- Complete Cash Log at each facility, when picking up cash deposits
- Deliver cash to financial institutions in tamper-evident containers, while adhering to cash handling policies
- Adhere to security and emergency procedures for all facilities

- Complete Daily Activity Log and provide to Transport Manager

- Deliver wholesale orders to approved point of contact and ensure accuracy of order, invoice and manifest
- Collect and verify payment of wholesale transactions and verify company copy of manifest is signed by client
- Responsible for coordinating with Transport Manager, client and ICS to confirm delivery of wholesale transactions
- Responsible for returning payment for wholesale transactions to originating facility
- Maintain company-issued uniform in good repair and adhere to grooming and hygiene standards
- Adhere to Chain of Command and refers non-emergent asset protection inquiries to Asset Protection Manager
- Acts as a first responder to emergency situations
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all confidential information
- Understands the complexity of compliance requirements governing our businesses, including the following types of regulatory agencies: Marijuana Enforcement Division, Fire Department, City Zoning and Planning, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and more.

PSI Labs is looking for a Field Sampling Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for conducting sampling in the field and safely and securely transporting samples and relevant documentation to the laboratory for processing. Field Sampling Technicians will report to the lab at the beginning of each shift to collect their sanitized sampling kit, drive to licensed facilities for sampling events and return to the lab at the end of shift to drop off and input samples into our LIMS.
A Field Sampling Tech must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products. All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, including a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) which must be clear to proceed.
Our Sampling Technician will:
- Driving to and from sampling events (requires several hours on the road each day).
- Follow all internal laboratory SOPs and state regulations while driving samples to and from the laboratory/clients’ sampling site.
- Maintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant procedures.
- Maintain sampling supply/equipment inventory.
- Complete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as needed.
- Follow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety protocols.

Smithers Cannabis Testing Services division is seeking candidates for a full-time Courier position. This position is based in Chicago, Illinois and will require local travel within the state. Couriers are responsible for safely, securely, and lawfully transporting samples to laboratory, well as ensuring strict adherence to state law and to all delivery and manifest protocols and controls. Couriers also may provide back-up for other departments in the lab.
Areas of responsibility & expectations:
- Interpret and execute state laws and regulations required when transporting cannabis.
- Carry out all procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with OSHA regulations, Smithers SOP's, and all applicable procedures.
- Responsible for transporting samples from cultivation to lab while operating a vehicle safely.
- Ensure samples are collected by cross checking manifest and properly secured prior to delivering to lab.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all sample tracking, sample security, and sample delivery.
- Manage documents associated with sample collecting, ensuring that proper documents are kept, and manifests are returned completed and ready for filing.
- Cross-train on and work alongside the remainder of Smithers team as needed.

Our part-time Cannabis Couriers are responsible for cannabis delivery to our patrons.
To ensure success, Couriers should be reliable and professional with outstanding routing and directional skills, and a knack for delivering critical items punctually. Top candidates will possess effective record keeping skills and work comfortably under tight deadlines to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of items. The right candidate thinks on their feet and never tires of small talk.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old.
- Valid US driver's license.
- A safe, reliable vehicle (we will run an MVR screening).
- Car insurance which covers the delivery of retail goods.
- A reliable mobile phone.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Required Skills
- Ability to drive safely and confidently in all conditions.
- Ability to utilize navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps safely.
- Ability to maintain basic logs and records.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of products to patients and customers within outlined time frame.
- Maintain active product knowledge and stay up to date on current cannabis trends to answer any questions patients or customers may have.
- Plan and completes an efficient delivery route.
- Maintain inventory and loads delivery vehicle.
- Load up vehicle ensuring all products are stored in a secured compartment that is clearly marked, latched or locked. Ensure all contents secure. Ensure alignment with state compliance.

Deliver parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
- Maintain basic records of mileage and deliveries made.
- Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
- Verify customer identification matches the manifest to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collect cash payments, make accurate change for transactions; ensure cash is returned to retail location within same business day of the delivery of product.
- Save and report the delivery path ensuring not to deviate unless an emergency circumstance arises, report emergency to Manager and document in statewide monitoring system.
- Daily compliance with dispensary policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
- Maintain compliance with local and state regulations, company policies and SOPs.

Position: The Courier / Delivery Driver position is responsible for ensuring that samples are picked up from account managers and brought to the lab safely and following all our compliance procedures. This position will serve the state of California only.
Essential Duties:
- You will need to be able to work in a variety of weather and traffic situations.
- You will be required to use the company vehicle and ensure it is kept clean and maintained.
- You will deliver sampling and marketing supplies to account managers.
- You will pick up samples from account managers and bring them to laboratory to drop off.
- You will assist with regular maintenance of company vehicle.
