We are now seeking a new Kitchen Manager to run our edible production kitchen. Will oversee all edible production and quality control. Will supervise and oversee 4 to 6 kitchen staff members. Cannabis experience not required but a bonus, however large batch cooking/baking experience is required.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing equipment and counter space to conduct tasks;
- Using sensitive weighing equipment to measure precise amounts of ingredients;
- Combining ingredients in a clean, thorough, and efficient manner – sometimes with the use of a large stand-mixer;
- Recording the completion or commencement of certain tasks, as specified by Fire Department’s Standard Operating Procedures and state law.

Summary
The role of the

Our ideal Culinary/Kitchen Manager will have several years of experience in a leadership role in a kitchen. Candidates with experience in the marijuana industry are preferred, but this is certainly not required. Must be willing to relocate to Southern California. Tivus is a top tier concentrate manufacturer and is expanding into edibles in the new location of beach close Costa Mesa, Ca. We currently produce and sell top shelf products including shatter, batter, crumble, sauce and diamonds. Our edibles will include cookies, chocolates and gummies to start.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Create a wide variety of edible cannabis products such as cookies, chocolates, gummies, etc…
· Utilize specialized equipment to produce cannabis infused edibles.
· Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory record.
· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
· Follow health code standards and procedures.
Education & Requirements:
· Must be 18 years or older.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Degree relating to culinary arts is preferred.
· 2+ years experience in the culinary industry.
· Cannabis experience is preferred but not required..
· Strong work ethic
· Creative and have a great palate for flavors.
· Must have the ability to pass a stringent CA cannabis background check.

Kitchen Manager
Michigan Supply and Provisions is hiring a Kitchen Manager for our Lansing, MI location. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for all production of infused edible products. The Kitchen Manager will manage a team of chefs to carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking and operating large automated production machinery. This role will produce edibles in accordance with the State and standards set by Ascend.
Responsibilities:
- Plans production, assigns production to kitchen staff
- Orders supplies and keeps an accurate inventory of all raw materials
- Weighs cannabis oil for all production batches
- Trains and directs kitchen staff and general labor
- Ensures adherence to SOP’s for production, health, sanitation, safety and compliance
- Oversees quality control and troubleshooting of finished product
- Understands and executes batch calculations
- Maintains production logs, lab test results and proper receiving/storage of product
- Demonstrates an understanding of state and county health department requirements for production facilities.
- Internally prepares for periodic inspections
- Works with other department leads to coordinate special needs, works with inventory manager to plan and forecast needs
- Keeps facility GMP standards for all kitchen processes
- Communicates respectfully with all staff including leadership

Background Check:

Summary:
A cannabis operator is seeking a Kitchen Manager for its marijuana production facility located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Kitchen Manager will oversee production of marijuana edibles and be responsible for hiring, training, and managing kitchen staff. A significant aspect of this position involves administrative duties, such as tracking inventory, following detailed recipes, and creating production schedules. The Kitchen Manager must be well organized, detail-oriented, and a team player. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Open, manage, and close kitchen
· Prep, mix, cook, produce, pour, deposit, pull, and store consumable products
· Operate commercial kitchen equipment
· Prepare ingredients, workstations, and kitchen equipment
· Infuse marijuana in food ingredients and ensure blend is adequately emulsified
· Calculate variable dosages
· Comply with state track and trace requirements.
· Assist with interviewing, hiring, and managing staff
· Train staff on kitchen policies and procedures, including food and safety, OSHA, and quality control
· Accurately read, record, and report kitchen data
· Maintain and comply with sanitation and safety standards, including cleaning schedules
· Manage production schedules
· Maintain a professional demeanor

Required qualifications and skills:
· Certified Food Safety Manager
· Must have or be able to acquire an active Nevada Marijuana Agent Card (production designation)

Based in Reno, NV you will be lead on cooking daily batches for Fireball Cannabis Gummies production. You work directly for the brand in our licensed manufacturing facility in Harrison Township, MI
What You Will Be Doing
- Maintain and perfect our recipes and formulas for our marijuana infused product – Fireball Cannabis Gummies.
- Ensure proper incorporation of extracts into products.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure compliance with the Department of Public Health and Nevada Department of Taxation.
- Audit inventory regularly to ensure full compliance.
- Maintain all product specification documents, recipes, and formulas.
- Day to day management of production area and team including: production scheduling, execution, staffing, and capacity planning
What You Need for this Position
- Experience infusing foods and other products required, working with cannabis oil infusion strongly preferred
- Experience with the emulsification of food products
- 5+ years experience commercial food production from bench to scale up
- 5+ years experience creating candies, chocolates, cookies, brownies, etc
- 3+ years management experience within commercial kitchen or food production environment
- Experience working with regulated substances
- Familiarity with Nevada Marijuana Regulations, Medical Regulations, Health Regulations and Sanitation Regulations
