Job title Cultivation Kitchen Manger

Reports to Cultivation Director

Job purpose

This position is supervised by the Cultivation Center Director who is responsible for efficient operation of the Cultivation Center. The Kitchen Manager will work independently to make medical cannabis infused products; both edible & topical. Manager will be expected to do extensive research in order to develop quality medicinal cannabis products. Manager will be required to accurately maintain inventory.

Duties and responsibilities

• Master recipes of existing products
• Develop new recipes as requested
• Order necessary ingredients and products
• Track and maintain inventory of products made with a controlled substance
• Handle multiple tasks/duties at a time
• Supervise kitchen associates
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen at all times
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ensure that all appropriate staff sanitation licenses/certificates are current
• Be aware of upcoming expirations of staff sanitation license/certificates and remind staff to renew
• Will be expected to complete any and all duties deemed necessary or assigned by Director

Qualifications

Must hold an Illinois Food and Sanitation License

• Inventory management experience required
• Baking, Pastry, Candy making experience required (will be trained on existing methods)
• Staff and production management experience
• Must be able to work cooperatively and professionally with all agency staff on a consistent basis.
• Possess an understanding of human development and motivation.
• Must be able to provide or arrange own transportation to and from work. If using own vehicle, must be able to provide proof of adequate personal vehicle insurance.
• Ability to represent this agency in a positive and professional manner.
• Ability and willingness to address unscheduled emergency job responsibilities during non-work/personal time in a positive manner.
• Must be able to accept and adapt to unscheduled changes in routine, rules, regulations, procedures, etc., in a positive and consistently competent manner.
• Willingness and ability to maintain accurate, timely records and daily paperwork.
• Agrees to attend training and in-service workshops
• Shall have an understanding and familiarity with Shelby County and its available community resources

The Harvest Department Supervisor is under the instruction of the Facility Director and is responsible for overseeing all department employees and all tasks regarding the harvest of cannabis plant material. These tasks include, but are not limited to trimming, tracking, drying, curing, storage, vault inventory, etc.

Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements

• Responsible for delegating duties to all trim department staff
• Harvesting all mature plants
• Harvesting by Hand Trim or Rip and Strip
• Preparation of equipment and plant materials for extraction
• Strong computer skills

• At least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen. Cannabis is NOT allowed UNLESS employee holds a valid Cannabis medical card from the State of Illinois.

This individual will be responsible for accurately measuring, packaging, and recording various products for our operation. The position requires attention to detail, general computer skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Duties and responsibilities

• Correctly pack, label, and organize finished goods into containers.
• Work vigilantly with cannabis product; properly measuring, weighing, and producing.
• Train and effectively trim cannabis plants according to the standards given.
• Create and apply labeling in accordance with product information, testing results, and correct customer information.
• Precisely maintain forms and database to record weight, product count, and issues.
• Provide timely updates and issues to packaging manager on a daily / weekly basis.
• Properly weigh and package raw product in accordance with company standard operating practices.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials and products to insure packaging specifications are met.
• Accurately measure, weigh, and place/scoop products into containers, using hand tools and equipment.
• Thoroughly clean containers, materials, supplies or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Utilize BioTrack to properly retrieve, deduct and relocate ordered product. (Training provided upon hire).
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of shipping process, creating packages / manifests is helpful, but not required.
• Previous experience with concentrates or edibles is a plus.

This full-time position is supervised by the Greenhouse Manager, or his/her designee, and is responsible for assisting with the operation of the Horticultural Program Activity Areas. This position will assist in coordinating, and monitoring activities of workers and/ or service recipients engaged in propagating, cultivating, harvesting, and marketing horticultural and horticultural related specialties. This position will also assist in the day-to-day operation of the greenhouse facility as well as the greenhouse’s associated buildings.

Responsibilities include assisting in standardized work measurement/time studies, cultural practices, overseeing deadlines, marketing, production/contract lay-out and work flow, shipping and receiving, quality control, inventory control, contract transportation, and customer relations.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Shall train and assist individuals served and others as assigned to grade flowers according to size and appearance characteristics.
• Shall train and assist staff, individuals and others as assigned in the packaging, storing and delivery of customer orders.
• Shall train and assist staff, clients and others as assigned in the propagation, growing and harvesting of horticultural crops and products. Gardening techniques such as transplanting, weeding, grading, packaging, and grafting, etc. shall also be included in these responsibilities.
• Shall insure and/or assist in the proper and safe operation of monitoring of timing and metering devices that control frequency, amount and type of nutrient applications; regulate humidity, ventilation, and carbon dioxide conditions; and dispense herbicide, fungicides, and pesticides in conformance with specifications.
• Shall assist in maintaining personnel and production records in full compliance with agency procedures and Federal and State of Illinois and applicable accrediting agencies.
• Shall assist in recommending the purchase of supplies, equipment and materials in compliance with the agency’s purchase order procedures.
• Will assist in the chemical application process

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or one year professional experience in related field
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN ILLINOIS STATE POLICE BACKGROUND FINGERPRINT CHECK, HEALTHCARE WORKER REGISTRY, AND Child Abuse Neglect Tracking system check as well as DRUG SCREEN.
• Have ability and willingness to complete and maintain records and reports
• Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Demonstrated strength in writing skills, organizational and follow through abilities.
• Must have ability and agree to complete unscheduled, emergency job responsibilities during non-work/personal time in a positive and professional manner.
