- Reach optimal crop conditions through consultation with the Crop Manager, with a focus on the technical cultivation

Requirements

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
The Grower Accounting Specialist reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for managing the complete grower accounting as applicable by region on settlement cycles, maintenance of grower loans and preparation of grower contracts. This role will perform accounting of fresh produce imported into the U.S., resulting in the creation of grower lot sales and final settlement/liquidation reports including container lots and cartons received, fruit re-packaged or reconditioned, FOB sales pricing invoiced, adjusted, and collected. Account for product imported, bought, and sold, credits, Fair Trade Certification fees, grower distributions, and other functions.
Duties and Responsibilities Include
· Professionally communicate with company accounting, sales and operations teams, growers, and any other parties to resolve questions, issues and/or concerns that company team members, or growers may have.
· Support company management and accounting department with preparation of weekly and seasonal settlement and payment schedules to each growers, respond to company team and grower questions promptly, setup of grower contracts in Prophet ERP at beginning of season for each grower, settle grower account sales timely in accordance to contract at end of season, team with company accounting, sales, and operations department prior to settlement to review AR collection status on open invoices, ensure that regular payments to growers are made timely.

Completion of received lot recaps. Year-end to also include confirmation of fruit and packaging inventories; supervision of reconciliation of CHEP pallets and reallocation of costs to projects.
· Produce timely grower and sales reports and prepare other weekly reports for management, sales team, and grower review.
· Grower payable reconciliations and review.
· Process payments and settlements to growers and third parties.
· Assist CFO with annual budgeting process including tracking of expenditures.
· Compliance with regulatory requirements associated with the packing and marketing of fresh produce, including communication with regulatory groups.
· Partners with CFO on Prophet ERP to document processes, identify improvements, test of any new development and troubleshoot ERP issues.

Description: This position reports to the CFO, and handles all of the grower accounting functions. Position ideally works from the office in Santa Cruz, Ca. or a hybrid remote / in-office arrangement.
This role will perform accounting of fresh produce imported into the U.S., resulting in the creation of grower lot sales and final settlement/liquidation reports including container lots and cartons received, fruit re-packaged or reconditioned, FOB sales pricing invoiced, adjusted, and collected. Account for product imported, bought, and sold, credits, Fair Trade Certification fees, grower distributions, and other functions.
Duties and Responsibilities Include
· Professionally communicate with company accounting, sales and operations teams, growers, and any other parties to resolve questions, issues and/or concerns that company team members, or growers may have.
· Support company management and accounting department with preparation of weekly and seasonal settlement and payment schedules to each growers, respond to company team and grower questions promptly, setup of grower contracts in Prophet ERP at beginning of season for each grower, settle grower account sales timely in accordance to contract at end of season, team with company accounting, sales, and operations department prior to settlement to review AR collection status on open invoices, ensure that regular payments to growers are made timely.
· Timely completion of assigned period-end and year-end closing tasks. Period-end to include completion of settlement posting and report accuracy for all active grower lots. Completion of received lot recaps. Year-end to also include confirmation of fruit and packaging inventories; supervision of reconciliation of CHEP pallets and reallocation of costs to projects.
· Produce timely grower and sales reports and prepare other weekly reports for management, sales team, and grower review.
· Grower payable reconciliations and review.
· Process payments and settlements to growers and third parties.
· Assist CFO with annual budgeting process including tracking of expenditures.
· Compliance with regulatory requirements associated with the packing and marketing of fresh produce, including communication with regulatory groups.
· Partners with CFO on Prophet ERP to document processes, identify improvements, test of any new development and troubleshoot ERP issues.
· Prepare journal entries by providing and maintaining detail records and files
· Reconcile fruit and packaging inventories, and general ledger accounts monthly.
· Prepare and support internal and external annual audit; timely compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.
· Plays a key role in month end and year end closing process.
· Special projects, ad-hoc reports, administrative tasks as assigned.
· Other duties and functions as assigned or needed.
Experience and Qualifications Sought Include
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years related experience in grower accounting.
· Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
· Previous experience with Prophet ERP, or other systems used in the fresh produce industry, or major accounting software.
· Experience in the fresh produce industry.
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft, Word, and Excel.

Company Description: Awe Sum Organics, Inc. is a well-established importer and marketer of organic fruit. The Company has been in business for 36 years and is a leader in the organic produce industry, with international and domestic product supply and distribution across the entire U.S. and Canada.
Description: This position reports to the CFO, and handles all of the grower accounting functions. Position ideally works from the office in Santa Cruz, Ca. or a hybrid remote / in-office arrangement.
This role will perform accounting of fresh produce imported into the U.S., resulting in the creation of grower lot sales and final settlement/liquidation reports including container lots and cartons received, fruit re-packaged or reconditioned, FOB sales pricing invoiced, adjusted, and collected. Account for product imported, bought, and sold, credits, Fair Trade Certification fees, grower distributions, and other functions.
Duties and Responsibilities Include
· Professionally communicate with company accounting, sales and operations teams, growers, and any other parties to resolve questions, issues and/or concerns that company team members, or growers may have.
· Support company management and accounting department with preparation of weekly and seasonal settlement and payment schedules to each growers, respond to company team and grower questions promptly, setup of grower contracts in Prophet ERP at beginning of season for each grower, settle grower account sales timely in accordance to contract at end of season, team with company accounting, sales, and operations department prior to settlement to review AR collection status on open invoices, ensure that regular payments to growers are made timely.
· Timely completion of assigned period-end and year-end closing tasks. Period-end to include completion of settlement posting and report accuracy for all active grower lots. Completion of received lot recaps. Year-end to also include confirmation of fruit and packaging inventories; supervision of reconciliation of CHEP pallets and reallocation of costs to projects.
· Produce timely grower and sales reports and prepare other weekly reports for management, sales team, and grower review.
· Grower payable reconciliations and review.
· Process payments and settlements to growers and third parties.
· Assist CFO with annual budgeting process including tracking of expenditures.
· Compliance with regulatory requirements associated with the packing and marketing of fresh produce, including communication with regulatory groups.
· Partners with CFO on Prophet ERP to document processes, identify improvements, test of any new development and troubleshoot ERP issues.
· Prepare journal entries by providing and maintaining detail records and files
· Reconcile fruit and packaging inventories, and general ledger accounts monthly.
· Prepare and support internal and external annual audit; timely compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.
· Plays a key role in month end and year end closing process.
· Special projects, ad-hoc reports, administrative tasks as assigned.
· Other duties and functions as assigned or needed.
Experience and Qualifications Sought Include
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years related experience in grower accounting.
· Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
· Previous experience with Prophet ERP, or other systems used in the fresh produce industry, or major accounting software.
· Experience in the fresh produce industry.
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft, Word, and Excel.
· Excellent communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal), analytical and problem-solving skills.

Grower Sales Data Specialist
MAIN PURPOSE
- Manage (Responsible for) execution of grower sales data reporting process to ensure compliance and drive accurate and timely grower sale data (Grower point of sale/ Grower Sales Data) collection and reconciliation.
- Ensures timely & accurate reconciliation that enables freedom to operate across U.S. Seed Brands, Crop Protection & Seed Growth, and Licensing Business in support of Stewardship, Licensing, Marketing programs, Product launches, and Sales Analysis.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Grower Sales Data Specialist, are to:
- Be responsible for collaborating across stakeholders to ensure accurate end-to-end data collection, cleansing, and reconciliation processes;
- Be responsible for working across Supply Chain Management and partners to coordinate the data cleansing and reconciliation of grower sales data; Understand the grower sales data reporting methods and can accurately execute the cleansing of the grower sales data reporting transactions;
- Be responsible for managing and understanding key system and processes that support Grower Sales Data, GPOS (Grower point of sale), and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes (3rd party tools, Gateway, B2B, ZDA);
- Be accountable to proactively identify and resolve sales data related issues through investigation, reconciliation, and engaging the appropriate stakeholders;
- Maintain key operational metrics to support operational excellence and a strong internal control environment, on an ongoing basis, assess the metrics to ensure they are in alignment with business and compliance needs;
- Coordinate with Information Technology (IT) support to resolve production support issues and implement enhancements;
- Perform research and data analysis and provide recommendations to drive resolution;
- Understand and communicate key business processes and supporting information in multiple complex systems;
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset including best practices to simplify operational processes;
- Proactively create process documentation and lead training for team members and other stakeholders;

The person we’re looking for will have:
- 4+ years previous Grower Accounting Experience in the Fresh Produce Industry including Settlements, Reports, Bank Reconciliations, AP/AR, etc. using Famous Software.
- Knowledge in US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Strong experience/relationships working Independently as well as with others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; highly organized, detail oriented, and not afraid to get on the phone or Zoom Call with the CFO & Accounting Team in Mexico for weekly meetings.
- Strong skills with MS Office Suite, Famous Software, and other computer skills needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

GROWER SUPPORT SPECIALIST POSITION SUMMARY The Grower Support Specialist is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and management of new producers to the 4P Foods grower network. The grower services position is responsible for leading Wonderful Citrus third-party grower program, exclusively devoted to grower relations matters. This position will serve as the single point of contact for growers, jointly develop and help execute the grower outreach program, and manage all administrative and grower reporting matters. The objective is to create a program that delivers a value-added experience to the grower, while making it consistent for the grower bases in each of the California growing regions.
Here's what you'll do:
- Collaborates with the Lemon Field Ops Manager and the Director of Field Operations, in developing grower relations action plans for administrative and outreach functions
- Demonstrates knowledge and an understanding of citrus matters and issues relevant to the grower base - including market conditions, government, and regulatory matters
- Can work independently, displaying self-management skills
- Represents Wonderful Citrus' values in communicating to third party growers
- Works collaboratively with other departments - ranging from Accounting to Packing Operations to deliver against grower expectations
- Collects and manages all grower contracts (e.g. renewal, etc.)
- Collaborates with Accounting to ensure proper contract and coop management
- Manages the distribution of daily reporting to individual growers such as pack-outs, and harvest reports
- Coordinates all pool closing activities with Accounting ensuring timely payment of growers
- Coordinates grower requests for advances on their returns
- Coordinates and/or composes the monthly grower newsletter in addition to any other grower communication
- Administrates annual grower survey
- Composes letters to growers that accompany payments or communicate administrative matters
- Creates individual grower and overall pool pro forma returns to forecast grower returns and communicate expectations to growers
- Analyzes internal management reports to extract relevant information that ultimately needs to be communicated to growers (e.g. pricing trends, industry volume trends, etc).
- Develops budgets for programs and events
- Leads efforts to improve and streamline existing processes that affect third-party grower management - such as contract management and grower databases
- Scopes, plans, and executes projects related to grower initiatives
- Leads efforts to launch a grower portal, which includes collaboration with IT, Accounting, and other departments
- Maintains grower portal once launched
- Develops an error-proof auto-delivery option for routine grower reporting (e.g. harvest reports) that can be distributed directly from Oracle
- Generates ideas for and coordinates grower events, training sessions, and workshops
- Prepares presentations for grower events
- Develops ideas for the expansion of grower services (GIS, farm management, etc)
- Manages subscriptions for new varieties (seedless lemons and M7) and manages contracts for growers
Here's what you'll bring to the table:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Business or Ag related field preferred
- At least 2 years of Ag-related, Grower Relations, or Communications experience
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) on many levels, understanding the audience experience level

The Grower Technical Support Specialist - Indigo Fields, provides light-touch technical support to internal and external technology customers and unlocks their user problems with the goal to solve the issue at first touch.
