Precision Plant Molecules
Do you dream molecules? Think chromatographically? Work the bench as your playstation? or would you prefer to liken the bench to your canvas? or musical instrument? or legacy . . .
10+ years with a pharma, plant extract or associated private sector research-driven company. Or, 5+ years overall with >2 years with cannabinoids.
Reactions and workups, chromatography, advanced separation, isolation, and purification techniques, crystallization, scale-up, and biosynthesis are your craft and what you want to do with like-minded scientists and technicians.
We are adding to our team both at the managerial and bench researcher.
We can promise an environment of high velocity discovery, motivated professionals, challenge, R&D colleagues ranging from experienced PhD researchers who drive invention and commercialization to pharma (former!) professionals to dedicated, high grit, never quit young gun chemists, and never a day quite like the day before. We are growing, need another 10x'r or two, and hiring again!
In the non-psychotropic, CBD and industrial hemp world, the new frontiers are the minor cannabinoids (CBG, CBC, CBN, etc. and of course, THC-V, and CBx!) that are well-recognized to have wellness and medicinal attributes. Another frontier is making hemp-derived, full spectrum THC-free oil and distillate with advanced techniques and hybrid approaches.
As we continue to build the PPM's reputation for superior grade non-psychotropic cannabioind-based whole plant extracts, cannabinoid concentrates and fully customized profiles of cannabinoids and terpenes for the leading consumer products companies, we are inviting creative, high energy, curious and engaged, highly capable, problem-solving, initiative-taking, personable contributors to join our team who are inspired by working with the highly motivated PPM team to bring the benefits of the plant to the people since Prohibition has finally ended.

To be considered by the PPM team to come aboard, here are a few questions: are you a self-starter? are you a 10x contributor? are you honest and high integrity? do you hold yourself accountable to your teammates? do you have people skills? Are you analytical? Do you have a "no quit" mentality to figure it out? do you co-workers enjoy working with you? do you like to learn? Are you effective at the bench and as a team member? Efficient too? and are you driven to help us build an extraordinary company making products that others only dream about?
Energy and enthusiasm to help propel a high growth business describes the new team members that would be a perfect fit. We currently have a diverse team, ranging from plant purists, extraction pros, biochemists, bench chemists, HPLC and GS-MS jockeys, engineers, and self-taught purification masters.
PPM is a science-based company. Our scientists are advancing the science of the plant and all the currently identified cannabinoids used as ingredients to improve the quality of life for many.
Compensation will be based on experience, anticipated contribution and performance.
We are flexible - what counts to us at PPM is your insight, focus, and ability to work with our team to accomplish what others say isn't possible.
Experience with the cannabinoids is a research role is highly preferred. Experience with complex plant oils and certain pharma compounds is required if you don't have cannabis/hemp research credentials.
Please send a brief email cover note explaining how you would bring your expertise, energy, creative problem-solving, and experience to our team with supporting evidence and your resume. Commenting on the questions listed earlier in this job profile would be most useful. We will invite candidates to interview based on perceived "fit" with our team and goals, and how you describe how you will contribute based on your experiences.
