Position: A Dispensary Shift Lead is the front-line supervisor responsible for the duties of all RSA's and acts as a liaison between customers and Redi's management. The Retail Shift Lead Associate is primarily responsible for providing assistance and leadership to other Retail Managers and Associates. - Protect assets by using a counterfeit detector pen to prevent the acceptance of counterfeit bills.
- Responsible for motivating Retail Associates and ensuring specific sales, guest-satisfaction, and compliance goals are met.
- Assign day-to-day tasks to Retail Associates on the sales floor and in production areas and oversee performance quality.
- Report Retail Associate performance quality and concerns to Manager(s) on Duty.
- Monitor lunch schedules of Retail Associate staff and holds staff accountable for maintaining an orderly rotation of staff on sales floor
- Properly communicates concerns of patrons or employees to Management.
- Resolves or de-escalates any situation stemming from patrons or employees.
- Transfers and moves out any necessary products onto the sales floor.
- Communicate inventory concerns and identifies out-of-stock products and relays that information to Management, if needed.
- Perform inventory audits in accordance with company standards.
- Complete all duties in a timely manner consistent with company standards.

Qualifications
Education:

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Shift Lead position is to create, train and motivate a team of budtenders so that they can smoothly run their shift to help the highest number of customers and patients possible in their location with the Dank's level customer service and shopping experience.
Directly reports to: Manager/Assistant Manager
Directly supervises: Budtenders

Job Description:
The responsibilities of the Budtender include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. You should also be able to answer customers' questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption.
To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Ultimately, an outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases.
Duties:
Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends through trade shows and research.
Processing customers' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.
Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.
Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
Checking customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age.
Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old
Must have excellent attendance and professionalism
Basic knowledge of cannabis preferred
No cannabis consumption permitted on the job
2+ years of face to face service industry experience required - retail, sales, restaurant, bar, winery, brewery, barista, hotel, hospitality, host, hostess, customer service.
Must be detail oriented and able to handle cash register in a high-volume, fast paced environment
Must possess an OMMA medical cannabis certification
Must be able to pass a criminal background check (excluding marijuana related charges)
Must have reliable transportation
Must be an enthusiastic & outgoing team player with a strong spirit of cooperation

The Retail Shift Lead Associate is primarily responsible for providing assistance and leadership to other Retail Managers and Associates. - Retain thorough and comprehensive knowledge of company policy, discounts, coupons and promotions.
- Understand potency, contaminant and homogeneity testing; able to explain testing benefits to patron.
- Monitor and enter patron orders into POS system.
- Abide by product handling procedures, including safety and health policies, auditing inventory, stocking, product storage, and monitoring packaging and labeling standards.
- Ensure compliance, security and health standards are met at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of store for all areas of the facility. Including, stocking retail items and supplies, sweeping and mopping and sanitizing restrooms.
- Verify correct use of MED-required packaging and labeling, according to policy, at the time of sale.
- Operate cash register by using barcode scanner, computer-based POS system, and cash drawer to process transactions.
- Accurately process transactions and ensure all patrons are issued a receipt.
- Protect assets by using a counterfeit detector pen to prevent the acceptance of counterfeit bills.
- Responsible for motivating Retail Associates and ensuring specific sales, guest-satisfaction, and compliance goals are met.
- Assign day-to-day tasks to Retail Associates on the sales floor and in production areas and oversee performance quality.
- Report Retail Associate performance quality and concerns to Manager(s) on Duty.
- Monitor lunch schedules of Retail Associate staff and holds staff accountable for maintaining an orderly rotation of staff on sales floor
- Properly communicates concerns of patrons or employees to Management.
- Resolves or de-escalates any situation stemming from patrons or employees.
- Transfers and moves out any necessary products onto the sales floor.
- Communicate inventory concerns and identifies out-of-stock products and relays that information to Management, if needed.
- Perform inventory audits in accordance with company standards.
- Complete all duties in a timely manner consistent with company standards.

Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
- Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Global
Required Skills & Experience:
- Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills

Summary
The Retail Shift Lead Associate is primarily responsible for providing assistance and leadership to other Retail Managers and Associates. The Retail Shift Lead Associate will support Management by delegating tasks to Retail Associates, opening and closing the store, processing incoming products, inventory audits, and oversight of the productivity of the sales floor. The Retail Shift Lead Associate assures product quality, customer satisfaction, and employee morale, while conducting day-to-day operations within the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
- Provide outstanding, accurate customer service to patrons by answering questions and/or appropriately directing concerns to Management, if necessary.
- Provide tour of dispensary sales floor, making product recommendations to patrons.
- Responsible for actively listening and making appropriate product recommendations to patrons based on ongoing research of strains, cannabinoids and vendor-produced products.
- Maintain knowledge of all products and accessories for sale in the dispensary.
- Utilize well-versed knowledge of cannabinoids and how they affect the body.
- Retain thorough and comprehensive knowledge of company policy, discounts, coupons and promotions.
- Understand potency, contaminant and homogeneity testing; able to explain testing benefits to patron.
- Monitor and enter patron orders into POS system.
- Abide by product handling procedures, including safety and health policies, auditing inventory, stocking, product storage, and monitoring packaging and labeling standards.
- Ensure compliance, security and health standards are met at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of store for all areas of the facility. Including, stocking retail items and supplies, sweeping and mopping and sanitizing restrooms.
- Verify correct use of MED-required packaging and labeling, according to policy, at the time of sale.
- Operate cash register by using barcode scanner, computer-based POS system, and cash drawer to process transactions.
- Accurately process transactions and ensure all patrons are issued a receipt.
- Protect assets by using a counterfeit detector pen to prevent the acceptance of counterfeit bills.
- Responsible for motivating Retail Associates and ensuring specific sales, guest-satisfaction, and compliance goals are met.
- Assign day-to-day tasks to Retail Associates on the sales floor and in production areas and oversee performance quality.
- Report Retail Associate performance quality and concerns to Manager(s) on Duty.
- Monitor lunch schedules of Retail Associate staff and holds staff accountable for maintaining an orderly rotation of staff on sales floor
- Properly communicates concerns of patrons or employees to Management.
- Resolves or de-escalates any situation stemming from patrons or employees.
- Transfers and moves out any necessary products onto the sales floor.
- Communicate inventory concerns and identifies out-of-stock products and relays that information to Management, if needed.
- Perform inventory audits in accordance with company standards.
- Complete all duties in a timely manner consistent with company standards.

Position Overview
The Shift Lead will be responsible for daily operations during his or her shift. He/She will work directly with the Operations and General Manager to ensure SOP’s are being followed. This position will be working in a high-volume retail environment while creating a safe and pleasant experience for customers and staff. The Shift Lead will be responsible for maintaining the company’s vision and business model, throughout their assigned shift. This position will be responsible to understand and adhere to Massachusetts labor laws and compliance guidance, established by the Massachusetts CCC and Happy Valley.
Essential Job Functions
· Must be on-time and prepared mentally and physically to lead the shift
· Understand company sales and marketing strategies
· Handle all cash flow throughout shift, including POS register and safe accountability.
· Key holder for retail dispensary
· Follow all compliance, security and safety protocols, for opening and closing procedures
· Lead a staff of employees to uphold practices, procedures and accountability
· Learn and understand software being used in the retail dispensary
· Extend a level of customer service experience that exceeds patients and customer expectations
