This position is responsible for following our policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
This position is also responsible for cash-handling, inventory stocking, cleaning, reviewing and researching products and providing exceptional customer service.
We only hire positive, hard-working team players that have a true passion for our products and enjoy talking with customers!
Responsibilities of the Cannabis Retail Specialists include but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers with a smile, positive energy and listening to all customer questions and then answering with a thoughtful response and appropriate recommendations.- Curating an extensive knowledge of our products, various cannabis consumption methods and basically all things cannabis.- Being proficient using our POS system accurately, maintaining compliance with the WSLCB traceability system.- Accurately handle cash and appropriately apply discounts as needed.- Participate in merchandising the store displays, stocking product, cleaning, organizing.- Interact with customers, co-workers and vendors in a professional, friendly manner.- Answering customer phone calls in a timely manner.
- Advising customers by providing information on products and educational resources.
- Helping customers make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
Requirements:- Minimum of 21 years of age and MUST be a resident of Washington State.- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A THOROUGH CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.- Must remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the I-502 recreational cannabis industry. No exceptions in following the I-502 regulations are allowed.-We have a zero-tolerance policy for consumption prior to or during the work day. All applicants must be able to commit to coming to work sober.- Previous retail or customer service experience is strongly preferred. We may be open to experience from other industries if it's applicable to this role (if you have previous experience in sales, you’ll be perfect for this role!)
We prefer that applicants are regular consumers of cannabis, as job perks include reviewing samples and employee discounts. Cannabis Retail Specialists are required to have a thorough first-hand knowledge of all the products we sell.
Minimum education requirement:- You must have a high school diploma.* 4 Year College Degree (or currently in college) strongly preferred, especially for possible company advancement.
