ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
- Deliver finished product to customers on time with no errors.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to our customers.
- Assists with order fulfillment in the sales room and ensure accuracy of all deliveries.
- Communicate clearly any and all issues with customers to management.
- Load and unload the delivery van in a safe and organized manner according to company policy.
- Review order paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
- Drives safely to the customer site and unload product according to customer's instruction.
- Completes and files related paperwork.

Dark Heart Nursery is seeking Temporary or "Seasonal” Propagators to work on our production line in our nursery. This position will be offered based on performance assessment and availability.
As a Seasonal Employee you will provide assistance during times of high volume production. This is an entry-level, non-exempt, full-time position. Overtime is paid at 1.5 X regular hourly pay rate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Properly and precisely executes slicing of plants to ensure quality cuts;
- Effectively, efficiently and safely transplant plant life;
- Pull plants while looking for signs of pests, diseases, mold and rot;
- Prune stock plants to provide cuttings for propagation;
- Collaborates with and provides support to nursery staff within a production environment;
- Follow standard operating procedures at all times in a safe and compliant manner;
- Maintain a clean area upon completion of assigned duties and responsibilities;

Logistics Administrator responsibilities include supporting all supply chain procedures, from coordinating deliveries to managing shipping documentation. Dark Heart Nursery, a leader in cannabis clone production in California, is looking for a Lab Intern to join our team in our Lab in Davis, CA.
This is a Part Time Position requiring availability for 10-20 hours per week. More details will be discussed during the interview.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Lab Supervisor and in alignment with the Company Core Values, the Lab Intern assists in all day to day lab activities, including, but not limited to, processing plant materials, preparing media, employing aseptic technique, capturing data, sanitizing tools and equipment, operating lab equipment, and maintaining lab cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow standard operating procedures at all times in a safe and compliant manner.
Prepare media suitable for plants or tissues to be cultured.
Sort, input, and process plant tissues for diagnostic testing.
Prepare buffers, reagents and other chemicals for standard molecular biology procedures.
Record data for inventory management, KPI's, and R&D.
Set up and operate equipment, including autoclave, centrifuges, diagnostic machinery, microscope, and pumps.
Maintain clean lab area, glassware, and equipment.
Prepare plants and tissues for initiation into culture.
Subculture plants and tissues using aseptic technique.
Collaborate with and provide support to lab staff.
Promptly report breaches in compliance, safety, and sanitation to management.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Since 2007, Dark Heart Nursery (DHN) has specialized in cultivating high quality clones for growers across California. Our years of experience allow us to produce premium clones from both popular and emerging genetic lines that perform well in a variety of settings. In 2019 DHN is expanding into additional facilities to bring on more capacity and to lower the cost of production. DHN has operated a cannabis tissue culture lab since 2014 and is now further developing the plant biotech side of the business into plant pathology, virus eradication, and breeding. It is an exciting time to join the team at DHN as we look to scale the business and dominate the cannabis nursery space.
Our company is seeking a Director of Integrated Pest Management to oversee the overall health of multiple nurseries, manage the IPM program and its team members, and collaborate on our clean plant program. The IPM Director will be a customer service focused individual who can create an implement a value added IPM Program for our partners. The IPM Director would be responsible for leading a team in all pest scouting and pesticide application activities in a production environment, including, but not limited to, application preparation and documentation of pesticide treatments, and maintaining a pest free nursery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate leadership by proactively monitoring and scouting plants for early detection of insects, diseases, and viruses with team. Develop an integrated pest management strategy
- Interpret media and plant nutrient testing results to solve production problems and optimize growing conditions for each cultivar.
- Create and implement an IPM value added program that can be extended to our partners to create a positive connection and continued business.
- Establish priorities, work independently, and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.
- Accurately weighs, measures, mixes, and pours and pesticide product according to the label.
- Properly record and submit monthly pesticide application reports to DPR.
- Meet weekly with Grow Manager to report findings and make recommendations.
- Utilizes microscope other tools to perform laboratory work and properly identify target pests and pathogens.
- Collaborates with and provides support to nursery staff within a production environment.
- Follows standard operating procedures at all times in a safe and compliant manner.
- Create and/or update any new standard operating procedures based on new or emerging compliance and/or Company policies.
- Promptly reports breaches in compliance, safety, and sanitation to management.
- Monthly inventory of all products needed including PPE, beneficials and pesticides
- Collaborate with management team to assure compliance with all regulations.
- Continuing education in State, Federal and local regulatory compliance regarding pesticides, PPE and applications specific to the agri-cannabis industry, as well as other safety initiatives.
- Maintain and update crop activity records, documents, chemical application logs, etc.
- ·Collaborate with a team to develop and maintain a clean plant scouting program.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Masters in Entomology desired
- Bachelor's Degree in Botany, Horticulture, Plant Sciences, Entomology or other related field

- Working knowledge of pest identification, focused on aphids, mites, thrips, fungal and bacterial pathogens.

Dark Heart Nursery is recruiting for an Office Manager/Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for assisting the Greenhouse staff and management team with ordering office and production supplies and maintaining inventory, scheduling, order fulfillment, coordinating deliveries, and assisting the HR Director with human resource functions (hiring, onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (including, but not limited too)
- Coordinate with Greenhouse Management to schedule all labor sufficiently to meet the demands of the department
- Manage production department calendars, coordinating meetings, trainings, and special events
- Work with Managers to order supplies. Implement and use “Just in time” inventory techniques to minimize labor but ensure all required materials are available. Solicit bids and compare costs to ensure competitive pricing
- Hire and onboard Team members and manage time and attendance system

Dark Heart Nursery is looking for a Key Account Executive who will be responsible for prospecting, value selling, and closing long term contracts with large scale commercial growers. We are looking for a Key Account Exec to cover the Central California territory including Santa Barbara county, Monterey county and San Luis Obispo county.
The perfect candidate will be a natural leader in opening new accounts and closing large deals. They will have experience presenting to senior decision makers like CFOs and CEOs with a proven track record of being able to understand the client’s business to facilitate the close. They will have demonstrated ability to organize a longer cycle sales process (3 to 8 weeks typically) and the resourcefulness to adjust sales strategy based on the feedback gathered from each deal. The ideal candidate will take an entrepreneurial approach to developing the territory with the goal of positioning Dark Heart as a trusted partner, not just another vendor.
This position will report to the Director of Sales and work collaboratively with selling partners, customer service representatives, and marketing to accelerate revenue growth.

Dark Heart Nursery is recruiting for a Vice President of Sales who will be responsible for driving revenue, managing the sales cycle for the nursery and CPG products, and coaching and supporting the sales team. This role will be responsible for supporting our major accounts, our large-scale commercial growers, and maintaining long term contracts. The ideal candidate must have proven success in achieving sales targets by effectively negotiating deals, and mentoring and inspiring a team. They will own the development of new sales pipelines, strategies, and processes, and are responsible for growing sales and revenue. Essential Functions (included, but not limited to)
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure a strong brand presence throughout the state of California

The logistics associate will report to the sales and logistics supervisor and will be responsible for processing, checking, verifying, and packaging orders for shipment. The position requires strong Metrc and computer skills. The role will require a detailed oriented person who lives to be accurate, and who is a good problem solver. As an internally focused role you must be able to get along with all staff as you will be interacting with each department. You will ensure shipping and receiving functions are completed in accordance with Dark Heart standards and procedures.
You will be joining a highly motivated team that work in the fast-paced cannabis industry. Applicants must have at least two years of operations and 1 year cannabis experience. Applicants must be at least 21, and able to pass a background check once a conditional offer is extended.

This position will report to the Dispensary Channel Manager and work collaboratively with selling partners, customer service representatives, and marketing to accelerate revenue growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Identify new leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals;

Under the direction of Lab Supervisor and in alignment with the Company Core Values, the Lab Tech assists in all day to day lab activities in a tissue culture production environment, including, but not limited to, processing plant materials, media preparation, sterilizing tools and equipment, and maintaining lab cleanliness.
This is a Contracted Full Time Position with the possiblity of a Permanant Position depending on the canidiate. More details will be discussed during the interview.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes plant materials; includes sterilization, micropropagation, and meristem excision.
Accurately weighs, measures, mixes, and pours media and media components accordingly.
Ensures that aseptic guidelines are followed at all times and maintains a clean lab area.
Accurately and consistently records laboratory data and observations.
Properly operates autoclave to sterilize media and other lab materials.
Utilizes forceps, scalpels and other tools to perform laboratory work.
Daily cleaning of lab area, glassware, and equipment.
Collaborates with and provides support to lab staff within a production environment.
Follows standard operating procedures at all times in a safe and compliant manner.
Promptly reports breaches in compliance, safety, and sanitation to management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The perfect candidate will be a natural leader in opening new accounts and closing large deals.
