Position: A Dispensary Shift Lead is the front-line supervisor responsible for the duties of all RSA's and acts as a liaison between customers and Redi's management. POSITION SUMMARY
Maggie’s Farm Full-Time Budtender Leads work with customers and/or patients in a retail setting to sell flower, edibles, concentrates, and other marijuana related items. POSITION SUMMARY
Maggie’s Farm Full Time Budtender Leads work with customers and/or patients in a retail setting to sell flower, edibles, concentrates, and other marijuana related items. This position will provide exceptional customer service and utilize knowledge of marijuana strains and products to help customers/patients purchase cannabis products. In addition, Lead Budtenders are responsible for opening and closing the dispensary, counting down drawers, assisting in managing inventory and guiding and training staff.
The Lead Budtender position reports to the Store Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for greeting customers and/or patients
- Assessing the needs of the customer
- Educating and guiding customer on the benefits and differences of products
- Deliver company’s retail promise to every person and patient while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Directly interact with customers and advise them compliantly on the products that are for sale

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills):
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Current and active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Badge
- Six (6) months to two (2) years of experience in retail sales or customer service
- Ability to remain compliant in a highly regulated role
- 1 year Retail Management experience
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication with customers, coworkers, and management
- Exceptional Cash Handling experience
- Competent computer skills
- Experience using point-of-sale software and running transaction summaries.

Job Description:
The responsibilities of the Budtender include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. You should also be able to answer customers' questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption.
To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Duties:
Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends through trade shows and research.
Processing customers' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.
Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.
Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
Checking customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age.
Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old

Basic knowledge of cannabis preferred

Job Summary
Lead Budtenders are responsible for customer experience which includes helping customers, processing the transaction, cash handling, and stellar customer service. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences. As a critical part of the business operation, the Lead Budtender will have the most interaction with the store’s patrons. Lead Budtender / Shift Lead
We have a professional, positive and fast-paced retail environment and a collaborative management approach. The Lead Budtenders reports to the Shop Manager and is responsible to collaborate with the management team in overseeing all shop operations including:
Employees
Assist with employee training
Staff education, coaching, management
Regularly interact with all staff members
Customer Experience
Customer service / satisfaction
Proper stock and organization
Shop appearance and cleanliness
Company Safety & Compliance
Prioritizing the safety of our staff & customers
Compliance with LCB and other laws
Compliance with company policies / procedures
Candidates must have at least 3 years of customer service/sales experience and 1 year of management experience in a retail or other customer service role serving the public. A combination of professional customer service, sales and management experience with cannabis knowledge and understanding is most desirable.
The position requires open availability. Our hours are Monday through Saturday 8:00 – 11:00 and Sunday 8:00 – 9:00. This role is 30 – 40 hours a week.

Budtenders provide excellent professional customer service to a wide-range of customers – from cannabis experts to those considering cannabis for the first time. The role requires exceptional listening and confidence in guiding customers to identify the best options for them.
Successful candidates often have either a proven successful professional background in either the cannabis industry with a deep cannabis knowledge base or in the hospitality industry with the dedication to gain the cannabis knowledge required.
