About the Position:
The Hospitality Associate is responsible for being the point for customers placing telephone orders and those requiring customer assistance with our E-commerce services. The Hospitality Associate must actively provide exceptional customer service while adhering to Garden of Eden store policy and state compliance. Customers may have questions regarding various products and strains and it is up to the Hospitality Associate to know how to best serve them. As such, this position requires a working knowledge of Garden of Eden products and merchandise which includes regular product training. The Hospitality Associate position is an entry-level position and reports directly to the Director of Systems and the General Manager of Garden of Eden.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound support requests by talking, emailing and chatting with live customers
- Monitor fulfillment dashboard to ensure process continuity
- Build orders for customers
- Provide continuous feedback on the development of functional structures by reporting any issues and success to the Manager on Duty
- Attend mandatory training sessions to stay updated on product or company policy changes
- Utilize software's to actively communicate with internal staff
- Ad hoc tasks as needed
Work Environment:

Job Summary:
Are you an experienced bartender, server, or hospitality sales pro looking for a new location in a fun and unique environment? Jad’s Mile High Smoke is the first cannabar in the state of Colorado, and we’re looking for a skilled hospitality sales person with a passion for service.
(Yes, you can buy and consume onsite).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Dual role - hospitality sales (20 hours a week), and hospitality associate (20 hours a week). We're looking for a great salesperson to grow our events and sponsorships, as well as serve at the bar.
- Hospitality sales includes event sales, event sponsorship, on-site advertising, venue rentals, and other possible options. Connections in the cannabis world are a big plus for this role!
- Demonstrate a knowledge of cannabis and be able to make product recommendations.
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests via POS system
- Follows all sanitation and safety policies
- Maintains the bar ensuring it remains stocked throughout the shift
- Maintains a safe working environment and report any safety issues to management immediately
- Maintains valid state Marijuana Enforcement Division industry identification
- Advise Manager/Owner of any non-routine situations
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- MUST HAVE STRONG CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and ability to maintain composure during busy times
- Passion for creating an amazing hospitality experience
- MUST be willing to work weekends and nights
- Must understand and comply with all MED and State Rules and Regulations
- Basic math and computer skills - Ability to use and maintain our point-of-sale system which will include scanning barcodes as well as cash handling/money counting and calculating discounts & percentages.
- Problem-solving skills required.
Education & Experience:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of serving experience. Any cannabis experience is a bonus, but If you are great at creating a fantastic customer experience, we want to talk to you.
- HS Diploma or equivalent

Physical Job Requirements
- Must be flexible to do different duties including regular cleaning.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience with customer service in retail.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data, facts and figures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- Sales experience.
- Knowledge of marijuana strains, (indicas, sativas, hybrids), edibles, extracts, and current products on the market a huge plus.
- Dispensary-related experience a plus.
- Must be able to provide exemplary customer service and represent the business with pride.

- Ethical Conduct
- Intermediate-level math skills. A key component of meeting our business compliance standards is to perform mathematical calculations to ensure that we are not making sales over the "daily limits". Failure to perform these calculations could be a store audit (during which the store would be closed) and/or losing our license to sell.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional retail setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This is a part-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position regularly requires long hours, weekend work, nights, weekends and holiday availability.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
