Job Summary
The Processing Technician is responsible for properly weighing, manicuring, and inspecting all cannabis flower intended for packaging. This position is an integral piece of the post-harvest process at Ayr Wellness, ensuring that only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.

- After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
- Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Trimmer is primarily responsible for the efficiency and quality of the cannabis plant trimming of in preparation for distribution. This position will perform the trimming (manicuring) operations which includes; hand trimming, machine trimming, and live plant manicuring.

- Hand trim guard and/or sugar leaves from cannabis plants before the drying process using shears, scissors, etc.

An indoor cannabis farm in Spokane, WA, is in need of someone to join our trimming and packaging team. Duties for this person will include assisting with making and packaging joints as well as assisting with harvesting, bucking, trimming, labeling, weighing, sealing, and barcoding. The right candidate will be someone who can take direction and work independently on tasks throughout the day.

Red Barn Growers (Vireo Health New Mexico) is hiring two full-time processing technician/trimmer positions. The Processing Technician/Trimmer position is responsible for trimming, curing, and packing cannabis flower, as well as other duties related to the maintenance of the indoor and outdoor cultivation facilities, as directed by the supervisor. This position reports to the Cultivation Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with with all aspects of trimming from bucking wet harvests, to packing flower for mass transport, to detailed hand trimming.
- Monitor drying rooms for optimal conditions.
- Trim dried cannabis flowers using hand-trim and automated trimmer methods.
- Break down fresh cannabis flowers from stems and separate useable product from unusable waste.
- Track the amount of usable and unusable waste for each plant/batch via data tracking system.

- Must be able to hand trim at least 2 oz./hour of dried flower, with attention to detail to create a high-quality product.

- Trim staff is responsible for clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day.
- Weigh and package cured flowers, trim and other by-products for distribution to dispensaries and processing facilities.
- Assist Cultivators with other duties around the cultivation site as directed.
- Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills.
- Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others.
- Employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product.

Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8-hour shifts. Repetitive use of hands and fingers.
- The person in this position will constantly be exposed to dust, terpenes, cleaning chemicals and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.
- Must be able to work on weekends or alternate shifts

This position operates under the direction of the Processing Manager and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Company's flower packaging operation including; general trimming labor, weighing, labeling packaging.

Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Processing Specialist is primarily responsible for the quality of cannabis and processing of plant in preparation for distribution, extraction and/or sale.
- Willingness to take instruction and follow through with correct implementation
- Strong understanding with associated protocols and inventory controls
- Ensure all activities in processing areas are conducted in compliance with Nevada law and company policy
- Maintain a high standard of facility cleanliness in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Hand trim guard and/or sugar leaves from marijuana plants after the drying process using shears, scissors etc
- May need to operate processing equipment/ machinery
- Removal of flower from stems and stalks; track waste and usable marijuana
- Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills.
- Record required data across the electronic tracking system and redundant tracking systems
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene
- Designated PS will assist PM with daily inventory audits
- Assist in Harvest & Post-Harvest Room clean up
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent education
- Cannabis Processing experience highly preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, production or wholesale environment is preferred
- Detail oriented
- Good written and verbal communication
- Must be 21 years of age, must be able to pass background check; no felonies
Physical Demands:
- The individual is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- The individual frequently is required to walk, sit, and talk or hear.
- The individual is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to four hours at a time
