The Processing Manager will oversee the Processing Supervisors and Processing Technicians to ensure efficiency and quality in processing of Cannabis operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Processing facility and processes, including: bucking, sorting, sifting, trimming, weighing, bulk packaging and batch documentation.

Job Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for entering, updating and verifying Humboldt Farms raw material inventory transactions. This role requires great attention to detail and works closely with other departments to maintain inventory accuracy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate daily records of all cannabis movement and changes in disposition within the Processing & Distribution licenses.
- Enter accurate inventory data in the ERP and associated forms or spreadsheets.
- In conjunction with Procurement and Intake, ensure incoming material is correctly received in a timely manner.
- Verify all transfers and shipments are done accurately and compliantly.
- Research and resolve any inventory variances or discrepancies.
- Ensure all secured storage space is clean and impeccably organized. This includes, but is not limited to, use of prominent labeling and separation between unlike items.
- Ensure environment within cannabis storage area is kept within established limits. (temp, relative humidity, etc.)
- Conduct frequent cycle counts of physical inventory locations.
- Assist with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits and End of Month Close.
- Generate inventory reports and analysis as needed.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all personnel.

Controller is accountable for all aspects of financial management for Humboldt Farms, reporting to the VP of Finance. This includes accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, financial risk management, and the development of internal company control policies and procedures. We are seeking an individual with extensive experience as a Financial Controller, who offers both first-rate business acumen, and a sincere interest in team building, to join our growing community of creative professionals at Humboldt Farms.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Manage all Accounting Department projects, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, production inventory accounting and revenue recognition
· Develop internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, and administrative goals
· Establish and maintain all financial controls with the Humboldt Farms Accounting Department
· Coordinate and direct department budgets
· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards
· Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis to Humboldt Farms Executive Leadership
· Manage and oversee the Humboldt Farms general ledger
· Prepare and publish timely financial statements
· Research technical accounting issues for compliance
· Support month-end and year-end close processes
· Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
· Monitor variances, summarize trends and investigate budget deficiencies
· Develop and monitor business performance metrics
· Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff (AP/Payroll Clerk & Finance Specialist)
· Monitor and confirm financial condition of internal departments by conducting audits
· Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions within Accounting or Human Resources
· Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions
· Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Experience with creating financial statements
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
· Excellent accounting software and administration skills, specifically in Excel
· Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s in accounting or Business Administration
· Advanced degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred
· Proven working experience as a Financial Controller (7+ years)
· 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

- Identify and recommend improvements in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
- Collaborate with other managers and supervisors to ensure alignment between departments.

What we’re looking for: As our Brand Ambassador you’ll travel to dispensaries in your assigned counties to facilitate in-store patient appreciation days and provide support for our Sales Managers. As the person in charge of our patient appreciation days, you will be the human connection between the brand and our retail and wholesale customers, educating patients on our products and offering merchandise and promotions. You will be responsible for documenting the patient appreciation days and posting on social media. In addition, you’ll be available to go to dispensaries as requested by our Sales Managers with merchandise and other promotional materials to show our customers extra love.
You must be outgoing yet professional, reliable and dependable, organized and responsive. You will embody the values of Humboldt Farms: compassionate, consistent, service-oriented, and entirely authentic. We want to provide our customers with an experience that leaves them smiling after every interaction.
Must be local to your region. Schedule will be based on demand. May include evening or weekend hours.

Responsibilities
Travel to dispensaries in your area for patient appreciation days and represent our brand at trade shows and lifestyle events
Educate customers and patient consultants (bud-tenders) on our products and the Humboldt Farms story
Communicate with Sales Managers and be available to support them on an as-needed basis
Document patient appreciation days and other events you participate in and post on social media
Ensure our products are correctly displayed and in an optimum position to heighten our brand presence within dispensaries
Build sustainable relationships with our wholesales customers and their staff — turn all staff into Humboldt Farms family!
Generate new client leads
Ensure all customer feedback is relayed accurately to sales and inventory teams, as well as information regarding brand placement
Travel to Humboldt Farms headquarters in Arcata for quarterly training, farm tours and company gatherings

Packaging Humboldt Farms Product according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Stickering jars & preroll tins with precision
Weighing eighths between 3.52-3.55g
Packing finished product into case size boxes
Operating the Rocket box to produce .6g prerolls
Closing preroll tops
Packaging GPens with precision

Performing quality control measures during all activities
Maintaining a watchful eye over sticker placement
Sorting through cannabis flower to maintain the highest quality
Periodically checking for correctness of packaging materials
Arriving to work on time, ready to work, with a positive attitude

Performing maintenance and cleaning tasks
Signing the cleaning log daily
Sweeping of the shop floor and stairs
Sanitizing the tables, scales, and instruments
Dishwashing duties
Cleaning the espresso machine

Picking and packing finished product to be sent out for delivery
Labeling all final case boxes according to established SOPs
Signing one’s initials onto the box which one has packed
Assisting Inventory in picking case boxes for delivery
Physical or Additional Requirements, including but not be limited to (following are examples):
Able to lift/move up to 30 lbs.
Able to remain at desk for long hours, sitting/standing
Travel required, with a reliable personal automobile
Available to work evenings/weekends

What we’re looking for: Humboldt Farms is seeking an experienced VP of Operations with a background in strategic planning, restructuring, and organization management. Our growing company currently consists of 80+ employees working within the departments of Procurement, Inventory, Marketing & Creative, Track & Trace, Sales, HR, and Executive Leadership. The ideal candidate for this role must be a master of organization, efficiency, and leadership. There is great potential for growth in this position.
This individual is expected to implement the Company vision, values and directives to meet the current production and distribution goals. A commitment to fostering team unity and growth, maintaining fiscal controls, as well as long term planning for development and expansion will be required. A strong cultural fit and passion for our values and principles is most important as this position will serve in a highly visible leadership role and will work closely with COO, CEO, and other executives.
Duties for the VP of Operations Include: Support the COO and act as deputy and delegate as required. Direct the day-to-day operations of the facility. This includes the departments of Production, Procurement, Fulfillment, Inventory and Track-and-Trace. He/She is expected to have a strong presence on site, typically this means a schedule of Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm. Relocation may be necessary. This individual will ensure accuracy and accountability from the departments he/she oversees. This individual will ensure accountability for departmental budgets and will work closely with the CFO. The individual is expected to exercise a high level of diplomacy when dealing with sensitive topics. This individual is expected to be able to come onboard and assess our current structure and provide solutions to improve efficiency. Remain calm, cool, and collected under pressure.

Develop and implement productivity metrics and performance targets
Allocate resources effectively and utilize assets to produce optimal results
Monitor operations to ensure compliance with company, state, and local laws and regulations

Recruit, manage, and develop plant staff

Oversee and direct the activities of subordinate managers and non- management staff
Determine staffing requirements and oversee the interview, hiring and training of new employees with the assistance of the corporate human resources department
Ensure that all staff receives appropriate training on job duties, corporate policies and applicable regulations
Provide coaching and mentoring and conduct evaluations of all subordinate managers within the department
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures, conferring with the executive members, management team and staff as necessary
Understand, implement and enforce the safety program

Monitor third party business and suppliers to ensure that they are
efficiently and effectively providing the needed services and supplies
while staying within budgetary limits
Coordinate repair and maintenance work in the plant

Meet regularly with department heads/business unit leaders;
facilitate resolution of issues/problems between business units
and/or departments

Develop operating procedures, KPIs, and goals for each manager
within each department

Oversee office efficiencies and implements improvements where
necessary to ensure compliance as well as recordkeeping accuracy
Works with cultivation to monitor inventory control
Monitors budgets and projections
Develops, implements and maintains operational procedures

Communicate amongst all areas of the business including the CEO,

Effectively maintain 3rd party vendor relationships

Working closely with the CEO, COO and the management team to
understand strategic priorities and to identify and create plans to

VP of Operations Requirements:
MBA preferred, Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Economics, Organizational Management, Finance or other closely related discipline) required
Proven experience as VP of Operations
Minimum of 5 years in operations management
3+ years’ experience in an operations leadership position
No background in cannabis production necessary, background in production of luxury foods desired
Excellent communication skills
Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
Superior interpersonal skills and an eye for careful, supportive conflict resolution
Expertise in budget management

Superior skill with Excel/Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and
Google Drive
Team player and ability to work well with a diverse group of people
Tech savvy
Finance/Accounting experience
Ability to create and present production and departmental financial reports to CEO, COO and board of directors
Inventory control expertise
