POSITION SUMMARY

Lead Nursery Grower, Everett
As the Lead Nursery Grower, you will be responsible for leading the nursery team as well as overseeing the production of seedlings that supply the production farms. SUMMARY
The Nursery Team is responsible for tracking the plant production schedule. The Nursery Team Lead will manage the Nursery team and work closely with the cultivation management team, the Director of Operations, and Inventory Team, to ensure the production schedule is on track with forecasted production numbers and scheduling. In addition, the incumbent will work closely with inventory to ensure plant location is accurate in seed to the sale tracking system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and oversees the movement of plants, keeping strains organized by ensuring identifying stakes are on required pots. Make certain plants are moved to avoid mixing strains.
- Updates movement and liquidated (kill) plant sheets daily.
- Keeps track of crop week clone, transplant, and movement dates on bench clipboard and production spreadsheet.
- Creates stakes to identify strains/batches in cloning, transplanting, and flowering stages.
- Provides the dates of plant movements as indicated by the Director of Cultivation and VP of Cultivation.
- Tracks transplanting schedule and ensure bench clipboards and production spreadsheet are updated.
- Leads and oversees the cloning team; ensures production schedule is followed, and an accurate number of clones by strains are being cut and planted.
- Tracks and reports cloning numbers to the Director of Cultivation.
- Coordinates transplanting and cloning based on production schedule:
- ensures pots are grouped and organized based on crop strain.
- Communicates any cloning changes made by the Head Grower to the cloning team.
- Collaborates with the Director of Operations to determine what strains can increase or decrease if the forecasted quantity is not met.
- In each case, as directed and under the supervision of the Head Grower
- Creates and updates crop reports of each strain in the nursery. Ensures pertain information is updated on the spreadsheet, such as:
- Tracking survival clone rate.
- Transplanting dates, movement date with correct Greenhouse and section.
- Ensures crop report is moved with the corresponding crop to establish a tracking system for the flowering stage: i.e., flip dates, IPM information tracking, and harvest.

- Mother plant maintenance:
- Replace old moms with new transplants. Ensures the life of the mom does not exceed 90 days.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Nursery Lead

QUALIFICATIONS
This person should hold at least a BA in a Scientific discipline from a major university or be extremely open minded towards innovative regenerative agricultural practices with a strong work history in organic crop production. This person should show a pattern of leading teams in an increasingly responsible fashion and have a proven track record in analytical trouble shooting. General description:
The Nursery Operations Lead (NOL) is responsible for overseeing the on-site operations of our Cannabis Nursery. This position works directly with the Cultivation & Order Fulfillment Teams to ensure proper execution of the nurseries Master Crop Plan. The NOL requires critical thinking to schedule and properly train team members, make day-to-day operational decisions, and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. This position ensures key performance indicators are in place and production targets are met.

General Roles and Responsibilities

- Facilitate weekly team meetings with Assistants, cutting and sticking team lead, seedling prop lead, and maintenance team
- Create an Action plan of projects and tasks
- Check in on action plan items daily with all employees who are responsible for tasks on the action plan, hold accountability
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, & retain team members as needed
- Train Assistants and Greenhouse technicians to properly perform operations that comply with Nursery SOPs
- Ensure Assistant Leads are professionally training and supervising all nursery employees
- Provide a weekly email summary to the CEO on operations status and upcoming budgetary needs
- Submit weekly purchase requests to CEO/CFO
- Schedule special labor needs for big work pushes
- Create weekly production schedule to fulfill crop plan
- Support Assistants in working with plant health team lead to ensure fertigation system is operating correctly
- Support Assistants to take on projects such as loading and unloading greenhouses
- Other Nursery related tasks as needed from time to time
BEGINNING SALARY WILL BE $52,000 ~ $65,000 ANNUALLY AND COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

Horticulture / Nursery Lead Grower over Field Agronomy
This Lead Grower over Agronomy position will include management and operational tasks. Including designing, improving, managing, growing, and leading many aspect of our high quality B&B Field Trees. Trees are then sold throughout the intermountain west and beyond for use in landscapes. There are approximately 100,000 field trees in production. Digging approximately 30,000 - 40,000 per year with replanting 40,000 trees each season.
This position would include some hands on responsibilities, management, and oversight for the following areas and others as developed and assigned. The ideal candidate should have educational or past work experience in agronomy, fertilizers, & chemicals.
Plant Health
- Chemical Applications including fertilizers and pesticides
- Pruning and shaping of all trees at the farm
- Staking of all trees at the farm
- Soil and leaf sampling to determine ranges of nutrients and issues needed to be resolve. while working to identify and implement change to reduce death loss of trees.
- Work closely with Crop Consultants and Acequia Farm team on all chemicals and applications
- Weed control through various methods
- Inventory management with assistance of Inventory Specialists
- Coordination others on new trees being planted each season
- Working closely with Field Operations Lead Grower to remove dead, dying or diseased trees
- Keeping track of causes of disease or dying trees and work to remedy the issues
- Oversee all irrigation of the plant material at the Farm
- Using the irrigation system for chemigation and resolve nutrient deficiencies in trees
- Crew Development and management of employees with assistance of Office Staff. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
- Assisting in recruiting and training of new hires each season
- Outlining Crews for specific duties and keeping them on task each day
- Coordinating with the Lead Grower over Field Operations and the Office Assistant to insure all tasks are being accomplished
- Assist Office Assistant in the Shipping of outbound B&B Trees as needed
- Coordinate daily and weekly with the General Production Manager to develop systems, plans and outlines for each season
- Ordering certain supplies for many of the projects that are needed
- Other duties and assisting in other projects may be assigned from time to time
- Use of computer will be required: Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks. A custom Inventory Software program will be trained on.
The actual agreed wage and benefits for this position ultimately depends upon experience. Teton Trees currently does not offer Health, Vision, or Dental Insurance.
