- sidewalks, restrooms, lobbies.
- Maintain the internal cosmetic appearance of the facility

- Empty trash containers and replace trash bags

Job Duties

The ideal candidate has experience managing all procedures and personnel during harvest and post-harvest processing of cannabis flowers in a commercial setting. They must be familiar with large volume curing techniques, high quality precision trimming, and Metrc compliance. Knowledge of WPFF preparation and lean manufacturing principles desired. The Plant Processing Manager will report to the Director of Cultivation for all tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Delegation of all flower processing related tasks (harvest, buckdown, trimming, WPFF prep etc.) to be completed on time outlined in the annual cultivation schedule
- Ensuring Metrc compliance; using the provided excel sheets to track corresponding Metrc plant tags during and after harvest, generating Metrc package tags post-processing
- Daily data entry and recording of all plant material weights into corresponding harvest cycle spreadsheets
- Training employees to perform all wet plant (WPFF) and dry flower processing tasks according to the SOP
- Oversight of all flower processing related tasks, making sure employees are following SOPs, and issuing corrective action when employees do not follow SOPs
- Management of both full-time and temporary employees: scheduling workflow, track working hours, inputting timesheets, ensuring meal/rest break compliance, and coordinating staffing needs with the Director of Cultivation and third party staffing companies
- Curing of all product post-processing; using the timeframes outlined in the SOP in conjunction with sensory judgement to determine when a batch is ready for packaging
- Coordinate with the manufacturing (extraction) and packaging departments to forecast time and volume of product ready for extraction and dry flower packaging.
- Compile KPIs and daily/weekly productivity reporting
- Perform labor projections and coordinate with temp staffing agencies
- Track and order department-wide consumables and inventory
- Any other task assigned by the Director of Cultivation
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience managing a diverse team of 50 or more people
- Greater than 1 year experience in a management role in a licensed commercial cannabis facility
- Adept in Excel/Google Sheets, Metrc, and G-Suite software
The Processing Manager will need to be agile in delegation, as there are time constraints from when a plant is harvested to completion of processing for manufacturing. This position requires good leadership and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.
The Processing Manager will be required to learn different cultivars/strains, and how to trim/cure each cultivar based on its individual characteristics. A large portion of the Processing Managers role will rely on smell, feel, and experience to determine if product is at the ideal time to be packaged.

The Packaging Manager shall provide general leadership and direct supervision to Packaging crew. Ensure that quality standards are maintained, and productivity targets are met. Monitor/manage production performance to include accuracy, efficiency, reliability, safety management, cost containment, and quality of product. Comply with Product Safety, and Quality Standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Nursery Lead oversees day to day nursery tasks and operations, monitoring room environments and providing guidance to technicians. They are required to learn how different cultivars/strains grow, and how to identify a variety of pests/pathogens. This is a labor-intensive position that requires attention to detail, self-accountability, and good critical thinking skills. The Nursery Lead reports directly to the Nursery Manager for daily tasks and objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Using the Cultivation Schedule to forecast daily nursery tasks(clone, transplant, etc.) and delegate tasks to cultivation team, conducting morning huddles with team reviewing objectives and performance
- Leading by example and setting the pace of tasks, offering consistent guidance and feedback to technicians on execution of tasks
- Completing weekly plant inventories, documenting harvest group, cultivar, quantity, and associated Metrc tags
- Using environmental control systems to set parameters in cultivation rooms, monitor room environment and system displays, diagnosing/troubleshooting outliers(temp, RH) and escalating to maintenance/management if necessary
- Mixing and applying biostimulants/pesticides via foliar sprays and drenches
- Preparing grow media for transplant and transplanting rooted cuttings
- Topping and pruning vegetative plants and mother plant stock according to cultivar, maximizing number of shoots and available clones
- Irrigating by hand according the plants size and cultivars needs
- Following strict biosecurity protocols, maintaining sanitation of tools and person
- Releases beneficial/predatory insects in method appropriate for species
- Scouting for and reporting any pests and pathogens (powdery mildew, botrytis)
- Working at a fast pace in a warm and humid environment - nursery rooms average 75+ degrees and 65%+ humidity
- Standing/squatting/bending with arms extended for long periods of time

The ideal candidate is detail oriented with prior experience in cannabis propagation and must be familiar with cloning techniques, watering plants by hand, and Mother plant care. The Nursery Technician will be reporting to the Nursery Lead/Manager for daily tasks.

Overview
- Reports directly to the COO

Carbon Labs is a cannabis safety compliance facility located in River Rouge, MI. The Laboratory Technician will assist and support the routine and non-routine day to day operations within the lab. This position will perform sample intake, retention room upkeep, lab preparation, and support the testing within the lab and ensure that all responsibilities are conducted based on quality and safety procedures. Must be comfortable working with cannabis/hemp products within a chemical/biological lab environment.

Essential Functions:
Coordination of recruitment & staffing, hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

The Nursery Manager will be required to learn how different cultivars/strains grow, and how to identify a variety of pests/pathogens. This is a complex position that requires good organizational skills, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure all genetics are kept alive and in good health, bi-weekly inventory checks on all genetics and tracking of location within the nursery. Update veg inventory in provided spreadsheets or management software once inventory checks are completed
- Develop and maintain schedule of when to regenerate new cutting stock of all cultivars to secure safekeeping of genetic library
- Collaborate with Nursery Supervisor to diagnose and treat any plant health related issues in the nursery
- Troubleshoot all vegetative plant health issues including propagation, present and execute a gameplan for remediation
- Monitor both mother plants and the propagation room to ensure cutting stock aligns with annual cultivation schedule. Develop and present a contingency plan if cutting stock falls short of what's outlined in the annual cultivation schedule
- Develop and maintain a schedule of micropropagation in tissue culture that will backup all genetics - initiation of shoot tissue, initial subculture, and re-subculture to maintain redundancy of all cultivars in the companies genetic library
- Oversee and execute transfer of tissue culture ex-plants from shoot initiation formula to root initiation formula, transfer of rooted ex-plants to rockwool(or other media), and acclimatization of rooted ex-plants into the production cultivation environment
- Oversee and execute all seed germination, ensure maximum viability of seedings
- Administering and developing training programs for all nursery employees, writing/updating SOP’s and tracking KPI’s
- Any other task assigned by the Director of Cultivation
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 years of experience directly managing a team of 4 or more employees in a production facility
- Bachelor's degree in plant science, business, or management, or 4+ years equivalent experience as a Manager in a commercial cannabis facility
- Minimum of 2 years experience overseeing the commercial propagation of cannabis in a regulated environment
- Familiarity with a wide variety of different cannabis cultivars, how they grow, and what techniques to apply in veg, pruning, generating cutting stock, and propagation according to an individual cultivar’s needs
- Must be adept in Metrc regulatory database, Excel spreadsheets, developing and tracking KPI’s, inventory management, labor forecasting, and efficient task delegation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies

The ideal candidate has experience managing a cultivation team in a licensed commercial environment, and is familiar with all modern cannabis cultivation and harvest related tasks on a large scale. We are looking for the right mix of detail-oriented cultivator, analytical data-driven decision maker, and inspiring empathetic people leader. Knowledge of precision irrigation strategies and lean manufacturing principles is highly desired. The Cultivation Manager will report to the Director of Cultivation for all tasks.
Cultivation Manager oversees all cultivation processes to ensure department adherence to track & trace requirements, cultivation schedule deadlines, quality control, IPM program execution and materials/inventory requests.
Responsible for routine communication with Cultivation Managers and Cultivation Director.
Responsibilities include:
Have foresight of all key tasks and deadlines greater than 1 month
Time and attendance
Interviewing, training/onboarding, and conducting 1:1 meetings with constructive feedback
Hands on with plants: pruning, defoliating, applying foliar pesticides, scouting, and releasing beneficial insects
Organize team workflow and task execution
Monitor Productivity/Performance, track KPIs, and provide employee feedback
Issue Corrective Actions
Meet Performance Goals set by upper management
Minor/Intermediate METRC compliance
Seamless coverage for other leadership when necessary
Delegation of all plant processing related tasks(harvest, trimming, etc.) to be completed on time outlined in the annual cultivation schedule
Deliver timely, specific, and actionable feedback to employees
Promote positive team culture
Daily data entry and recording of all plant material weights into corresponding harvest cycle spreadsheets
Management of both full-time and temporary employees: scheduling workflow, track working hours, inputting timesheets, ensuring meal/rest break compliance, and coordinating staffing needs with the Director of Cultivation and third party staffing companies
Coordinate with the Lab Director to forecast time and volume of product ready for extraction
Any other task assigned by the Director of Cultivation.
The Cultivation Manager will need to be agile in delegation, as there are time sensitive tasks critical to our success. This position requires good leadership and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.

What we are looking for:

- Answering calls with professional and proper phone etiquette

- Emphasizing the JARS Loyalty Program, campaigns, events, daily texts, etc.
- Show up to each scheduled shift timely and presentable
- Communication to budtenders for order completion updates

- Performing opening, mid-day, and closing tasks, as well as general upkeep of the reception area

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience working within in a retail, sales and/or hospitality environment

- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member

Our team is seeking a team-oriented and motivated Inventory Specialist for our newly opened Battle Creek location. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing policy and procedure, compliance, inventory, receiving orders, and all other operational objectives of all the inventory store operations.
Responsibilities
- The Dispensary Inventory Specialist is an expert in their field of inventory receiving, METRC & MRA compliance, and order fulfillment
- Oversee and execute all inventory specific initiatives as outlined
- Deliver results and strategic direction by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly through the inventory processes (POS, METRC, etc.)
- Ensure the store is audit compliant and achieves acceptable reporting/numbers
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures within the retail store
- Communicate, work closely, and successfully collaborate with other Managers and the Inventory Manager to achieve the organizations goals
- Train managers and employees in expected operational standards using appropriate tools such as SOP s, compliance audits, company and state policy, and procedures
- This role may be required to assist with other duties as assigned as well as in other functions of the operation including but not limited to: retail sales, delivery, and visual merchandising
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community

Qualifications**
- Minimum 21 years of age (or per state regulations)
- Minimum 4 years retail experience, including a combination of front end and/or inventory responsibilities
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite & Microsoft Teams
- Strong knowledge of retail technology platforms and systems
- Experience with METRC, MRA Compliance and Cannabis POS Systems is preferred, but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent computer skills working within a POS system as well as cash register and payment processing systems
- Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions
