IPM Supervisor
The IPM Supervisor will be responsible for developing a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management plan for the facility using approved pesticides, and biocontrol agents in compliance with all state laws and regulations.

Purpose

About This Role

Assistant Growers are subject matter experts responsible for maintaining healthy and productive plants. They are a key part of the Operations Technical Staff and they work in functional areas critical to plant health: from fertigation and plant creation to grow room product quality and overall sanitation. What You Will Be Doing as an IPM Supervisor:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assuring work tasks within their assigned responsibilities are executed per the Standard Work with high degree of Safety, Quality and Regulatory Compliance (Standard Work Audits).
- Lead Tier 1 Huddles and help manage our CC Lean Management System of Visual Controls for the Scout team (i.e., White Boards, Visual Standards, Signage, etc.)
- Facilitate and participate in the production board meetings, engaging the Citizens and Leads in the use and leverage of these Lean tools.
- Assure that IPM events are carried out and executed to standard, such as scouting, dispersing biologicals, distributing and counting population cards, as well as making sure that sprays are carried out per schedule or outbreak response, and more.
- Coordinate with IPM Lead, Growing Captain and Procurement Team, to source supplies and resources to the cultivation and IPM efforts.

- Identify and lead mitigation of Product and Process Defects in the Grow room – considering a wide variety of defects such as plant disease, bad insects, poor product quality, etc.

The Experience You Bring
- Degree in Horticulture, Biology, Agriculture, or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Experience in growing Cannabis at scale is acceptable in lieu of degree.
- Obtain the appropriate state required pesticide applicators license, for the required classifications for the greenhouse IPM strategies.
- Experience combatting multiple greenhouse and cannabis pests with in an IPM strategy.
- Ability to ID and distinguish between a multitude of pests as well as beneficial biological insects.
- Ability to coordinate schedules of pesticide application and bio control dispersal for minimum antagonism.
- Experience using and keeping up maintenance of multiple types of sprayers, foggers, and other application equipment.
- Knowledge of basic MS Office and METRC. LeafLogix is a plus.

Summary:
The IPM Supervisor will be responsible for developing a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management plan for the facility using approved pesticides, and biocontrol agents in compliance with all state laws and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Supervise and train a team of IPM technicians that will be responsible for applying all compounds in a safe and effective manner
- Routinely scout for all plant pests, generating treatment maps for all IPM technicians to follow
- Schedule IPM work orders, including pesticide applications
- Maintain detailed application schedules for chemicals and biological control agents
- Maintain IPM records and documents, including weekly Scouting Report and Spray Log.
- Manage the cleaning and routine maintenance of all application equipment and sprayers
- Ensure that proper REI notifications are disseminated to the facility and posted where appropriate
- Oversee physical and digital product inventory by forecasting supply needs, ordering product, inventory tracking and ensuring that locations have proper PPE and supplies
- Maintains all pesticides in an appropriate and compliant manner
- When necessary, work closely with the fertigation team to inject drench materials into the fertigation system to control root pests
- Able to wear PPE as appropriate, including respiratory protection, and able to be exposed to hot, wet, humid conditions while wearing PPE
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Collaborate with Maintenance teams to verify equipment is properly calibrated and in working order
- Assist with weekly cultivation tasks as needed
Education and/or Experience
- Associates Degree or High School Diploma with equivalent job experience
- Ability to obtain a Private Pesticide Applicator's license within 90 days from hire and stay up to date on approved products available for use on medical cannabis
- Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial cannabis IPM programs
- Minimum two years' experience as IPM Lead

Job Summary
The IPM Supervisor requires a hands-on approach to assist in shaping the culture of Trulieve. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the IPM team within their region.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring that IPM treatments are completed per IPM Manager
- Inform IPM Manager on all issues in the grow
- Lead/supervise with minimal management assistance and forecast upcoming events
- Supervise a team of IPM leads.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.

Education & Experience
Formal Education and Experience or Equivalent:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Agriculture, Agronomy, or another related field is required 
- Experience applying pesticides is required 
- Experience troubleshooting and/or repairing mechanical systems (i.e. pumps, motors) is preferred

- Maintains inventory of IPM Supplies (pesticides, equipment, PPE, adjuvants, etc.), including maintaining up to date inventory records and placing orders 
- Reports to Director of Cultivation and/or Specialist as needed or directed 
- Distributes biological controls 
- Identifies and scouts for pests 
- Maintains/cleans IPM equipment and infrastructure 
- Participates in IPM related cultivation tasks 
- Participates in other IPM projects as directed, including R&D 
- Assists with WPS Worker Pesticide Safety Training as needed 
- Ensure compliance to Federal, State, and company regulations, policies, and procedures always

Reporting directly to Flow Cannabis Co.’s Facility Manager who is responsible for overseeing and managing facilities and equipment at the Flow Cannabis Institute (FCI) in Redwood Valley, CA.The ideal candidate will have a strong equipment maintenance background, experience in the food and/or beverage industry as well as comprehensive knowledge and experience with operational methods and keeping costs within an approved budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with a highly collaborative mindset side by side with management team and equipment operators to build equipment maintenance schedules, ensuring that all equipment is maintained and suitable for production when needed.
- Assess and prioritize projects and assign personnel accordingly.
- Train production staff on proper operation and daily cleaning of production equipment.
- Supervise equipment maintenance technician on all required tasks and duties.
- Work with the Facilities manager to address any mechanical, pneumatic, electrical or other safety issue with production equipment.
- Responsible for the direct communication with equipment suppliers and coordination of technical assistance.
- Participate in the selection and installation of equipment and related production systems and enhancements.
- Utilize spreadsheets and a variety of other computer software to organize and track budgets, cost estimates, parts inventory, maintenance, and SOP documentation as well as other data related to equipment maintenance, operations, supplies, manufacturers, and vendors.
- Assist in the develop of Operating and Safety Procedures.
- Maintain necessary parts inventory and coordinate directly with manufactures and vendors to source necessary equipment parts.
- Oversee repair, maintenance, installation, and deep cleaning of all processing equipment within our Redwood Valley campus.
- Ensure equipment is maintained, sanitized, and operating efficiently to produce a high quality and safe product.
- Assist in the development of and oversee the implementation of an equipment Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP) to limit unscheduled repairs and production downtime.
- Supervise emergency unscheduled repairs of production equipment as needed during the Production Shift.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service including execution of preventative maintenance plan.
- Keep records of Work Order repairs and develop or make necessary changes to planned maintenance schedule.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform all duties in compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA and state and local regulations and company policies and procedures; including safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Required Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 5+ years of experience in Equipment Maintenance, preferably on production equipment in a food or beverage facility.
- 3+ years of experience in Management of people and equipment programs
- BA/BS degree or trade school certification preferred; will consider equivalent practical experience in lieu of degree.
- Excellent computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and including comfortability with various databases, spreadsheets, and calendar management.
- Highly motivated and able to work both independently and as a team.
- Superior troubleshooting skills for both electrical and mechanical applications
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to adjust communication approach to achieve desired results with a variety of people.
- Impeccable detail orientation, time management, project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Knowledge of production software is desirable.
- Ability to move freely within the plant to inspect all processes and equipment.
