The Transportation Specialist is responsible for day to day transportation and security related needs. This individual provides transport of products with other assigned staff to the dispensary locations on a daily basis.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Follow Parallel Policies & Procedures in the daily operations and fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations
- Provides secure transportation from the cultivation site to our dispensaries and lab services
- Ensuring random routes and varying transport times are followed to ensure DPH compliance
- Responsible for the GPS tracking and camera monitoring of the Transportation team

Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance in uniform provided while on duty with professional attitude, courteous and helpful.
- Foot patrol(s) inside and out, ascending and descending 10 stairs and walking approximately 15 acres/200,000 square feet sometimes in inclement weather.
- Being alert at assigned post at all times to ensure personal safety.

- Provide exceptional customer service to internal/external customers

A SAMPLING & and TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST (STS) is one of the most crucial parts of the testing process! The STS is responsible to travel to California’s licensed cultivation, manufacturing and distribution facilities and personally collect samples using a proven scientific method to ensure the sample is representative of the batch. An STS will collect samples consisting of flower, oil, edibles and other cannabis products while following a strict standard operating procedure and transporting them to the analytic testing laboratory.
Once the samples arrive at the testing laboratory they will be processed for Potency, Pesticides, Residual Solvents, Microbiological, Toxins, Heavy Metals and filth/foreign inspections. If the testing results pass the California testing criteria set forth, then they are allowed to be sold to the consumers in the State of California. This ensures the health and safety of the population of the great State of California!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure area is as clean and free from contaminants and filth as possible and sanitize tools
- Obtain a representative samples from each batch;
- Assign a unique sample identifier to each sample and sample increment;
- Follow chain-of-custody protocols to ensure that sample integrity is such that it may be maintained from point of collection to receipt of samples at the laboratory;
- Wear proper personal equipment items during the entire sampling process
- Properly store and handle samples
- Properly record in the Sample Field Log
- Sample Unpackaged Harvest Batches and Medical Cannabis Goods
- Complete the Sampler Training Requirements
- Package samples in tamper proof packaging
- Transport tamper-proof packaging to a Multiple Unit Logistics Expert
- While transporting samples the vehicles inside temperature must be kept below 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Follow all traffic laws
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver's License and Insurance
- Must be 21+ years of age

- Completed 2 years of college coursework

Position summary:
A SAMPLING & and TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST (STS) is one of the most crucial parts of the testing process! The STS is responsible to travel to California’s licensed cultivation, manufacturing and distribution facilities and personally collect samples using a proven scientific method to ensure the sample is representative of the batch. An STS will collect samples consisting of flower, oil, edibles and other cannabis products while following a strict standard operating procedure and transporting them to the analytic testing laboratory.
Once the samples arrive at the testing laboratory they will be processed for Potency, Pesticides, Residual Solvents, Microbiological, Toxins, Heavy Metals and filth/foreign inspections. If the testing results pass the California testing criteria set forth, then they are allowed to be sold to the consumers in the State of California. This ensures the health and safety of the population of the great State of California!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure area is as clean and free from contaminants and filth as possible and sanitize tools
- Obtain a representative samples from each batch;
- Assign a unique sample identifier to each sample and sample increment;
- Follow chain-of-custody protocols to ensure that sample integrity is such that it may be maintained from point of collection to receipt of samples at the laboratory;
- Wear proper personal equipment items during the entire sampling process
- Properly store and handle samples
- Properly record in the Sample Field Log
- Sample Unpackaged Harvest Batches and Medical Cannabis Goods
- Complete the Sampler Training Requirements
- Package samples in tamper proof packaging
- Transport tamper-proof packaging to a Multiple Unit Logistics Expert
- While transporting samples the vehicles inside temperature must be kept below 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Follow all traffic laws
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver's License and Insurance
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Must have clean driving record
- Completed 2 years of college coursework
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge of California’s Bureau of Cannabis Control’s Medical and Adult Use Regulations
- Must be able to pass a Live Scan background check prior to and periodically throughout employment.
- Must not be employed or have any ownership in any other CA cannabis industry license type.

We are seeking a team player to fill the position of Transportation Specialist to deliver cannabis products to licensed dispensaries in the state of Maryland. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload product into company vehicles according to company's specifications
- Ensure timely delivery of products according to schedule using predetermined routes
- Review orders prior to delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service to our customers
- Understand and follow all rules and regulations set forth by the state of Maryland for delivery of medical cannabis
- Transport deliveries safely and securely according to the department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Deliver and register receipt of product shipments by authorized agents of dispensary organizations
- Maintaining accurate inventory, transport and distribution records
- Operate vehicle within all state and local guidelines
- Ensure load is properly secured before moving the vehicle
- Communicate any security or safety concerns to the Safety and Security Manager as needed
- Assist the cultivation trim and packaging team when not on scheduled routes
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures preferred
- Experience in the medical cannabis industry desirable, but not required
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings and some holidays
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
