The Hemp Production Staff Member will support the day-to-day operations of A1 Hemp Supply Co.’s production, including, but not limited to, weighing, labeling, & packaging product, and filling vape cartridges & vape disposables. This role will report directly to the Production Manager.
This is a full-time position requiring occasional weekends when needed to accommodate business needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Packages concentrates, vape devices, flower, gummies, tinctures & other hemp products from a whole mass production state to a compliant, branded, ready for purchase state.
- Responsible for weighing, applying various stickers, attaching test results, ensuring all around quality, heat sealing, cleaning, and polishing off different A1 SKUs.
- Fills vape cartridges and vape disposables and tests, cleans, and packages them.
- Counts gummies and then packages and labels containers and moves to inventory.
- Provides feedback on current processes to the Production Manager to help establish and maintain appropriate systems for measurement of operational effectiveness.
- Communicates with the Production Manager on inventory needs.
- Follows established standard operating procedures set in place for maximum operational efficiency.
- Works in compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health. Implements changes needing to be made to achieve this.
- Assists occasionally with building sales relationships, including cold calling new stores to introduce A1 Hemp and our products.
- Conducts quality checks for all packaged goods produced, including but not limited to, checking for flaws, contamination, sugaring, and discoloration.
- Occasionally assists with A1 Hemp events and dab bars, educating attendees and selling products.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Production Associate
Position Description :
The Production Associate is responsible for efficiently performing quality trimming and packaging to prepare marijuana plants for sale. They must de-fan plants, precisely weigh and record them, trim off sticks when the cannabis dries, and sustain cleanliness and organization of their work area. Additionally, they maintain the quality of the plants and ensure a high level of cleanliness. Production Associates are expected to work with integrity and honesty while being resourceful and ready to work as a part of a team or independently. He / She should demonstrate incredible attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Production Associate is also responsible for the packaging of products. He / She must pay great attention to detail, and pick up on processes quickly. Among other duties, this position packages small products quickly on an assembly line. While packaging, Production Associates must be nimble workers who can work in a fast-paced environment. Employees must be excellent at executing and completing tasks. Quality control and package inspection is also a critical task of this position as well as working well in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities: Trimming
- Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from usable product.
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
- Trim cannabis to meet company aesthetics, producing the highest quality product efficiently.
- After the breakdown of the plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
- Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking.

- Manages a multi-stage quality assurance program by thoroughly inspecting products during specific stages of the manufacturing process, alerting supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Maintains and stocks inventory and notifies supervisor of any concerns or shortages, utilizing production/inventory systems: Metrc, Distru, Google Drives.
- Ensures cleanliness of workspace and manufacturing environment
- Ensures correct storage and management of all ingredients (non-cannabis/cannabis)
- Adheres to drops SOP’s applicable to the position including but not limited to health and safety; manufacturing and production; cleaning protocols; and product specific protocols

Physical Requirements: Essential functions require working in a hot and cold warehouse setting. Work Location and Schedule: This is a non-exempt position with a 40-hour work week and occasional mandatory overtime hours. This position is located in the Clackamas warehouse and is currently scheduled Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm., with a 1/2 hour meal break and two paid breaks over the course of the work day.
