Production Associate
Position Description :
The Production Associate is responsible for efficiently performing quality trimming and packaging to prepare marijuana plants for sale. They must de-fan plants, precisely weigh and record them, trim off sticks when the cannabis dries, and sustain cleanliness and organization of their work area. Additionally, they maintain the quality of the plants and ensure a high level of cleanliness. Production Associates are expected to work with integrity and honesty while being resourceful and ready to work as a part of a team or independently. He / She should demonstrate incredible attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Production Associate is also responsible for the packaging of products. He / She must pay great attention to detail, and pick up on processes quickly. Among other duties, this position packages small products quickly on an assembly line. While packaging, Production Associates must be nimble workers who can work in a fast-paced environment. Employees must be excellent at executing and completing tasks. Quality control and package inspection is also a critical task of this position as well as working well in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities: Trimming
- Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from usable product.
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
- Trim cannabis to meet company aesthetics, producing the highest quality product efficiently.
- After the breakdown of the plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
- Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking.
- Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.
- Employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing the highest quality product.
- Trim staff is responsible for clean-up, disinfection of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day. This also includes light janitorial tasks.
- Employee must maintain quality standards, flower integrity and adapt to various strains/techniques.

- Prepare products for final packaging as specified.
- Place labels on appropriate bottles and lids as specified.
- Package products in appropriate packages with required labels placed correctly.
- Employees must meet established packaging timelines.
- Quality Assurance standards must be followed at all times.
- Products must be stored according to Lot # and inventory levels must be up-to-date.
- Maintain clean and organized working environment

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform g rasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and product.

90 day probationary period / entry level
1. New employees will need to hit required metrics i n four of the six tracked tasks and be within 75% of required metrics for the remaining two tasks to continue employment.
2. New employees who have missed more than 5 days in their first 90 days will be let go.

Production Journeyman
1. Employees who pass their probationary period are eligible to begin striving to move up to a Production Journeyman.
2. Employees must hit metrics for four of the six tracked tasks and be within 80% of the other two remaining tasks for 90 consecutive days to be eligible to move to Production Journeyman.
3. Employees able to hit their metrics in four o f six tasks will be eligible for a 3% raise. Five of six make an employee eligible for a 4% raise and six of six make an employee eligible for 5% raise.
Journeyman
Task Trimming, Packaging, Plant work
Production Master
1. After achieving Production Journeyman employees will be eligible to move up to Production Master.
2. Employees must hit metrics for four of the six tracked tasks and be within 80% of the other two remaining tasks for 90 consecutive days to be eligible to move to Production Master.
3. Employees able to hit their metrics in four of six tasks will be eligible for a 3% raise. Five of six make an employee eligible for a 4% raise and six of six make an employee eligible for 5% raise.

Changes in expectations
1. Employees must spend at least 90 days at each level.
2. Minimum numbers at each level become the employee’s new minimum metrics. Slowing of metrics will lead to a meeting with management and if a repeated problem could end in termination.
Yearly review
1. At the end of an employee's first year they are eligible for a performance review and the possibility of a raise.
2. Employees are eligible for a review and possible raise at the end of each year they are continually employed with us.
3. Production team members wage caps out at $18.00/hr
