In this role you will assist in navigating patients, customers, and caregivers through the education, selection, and purchasing process. You will open and close the store and assist with coaching and mentoring the employees in the Wellness Center. You will also be responsible for partnering with the Marketing Manager to execute the marketing strategy and initiatives in the store.
Must be able to work a retail schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
What You’ll Need:
You will have 5+ years of experience in retail. Passion for medicinal cannabis, previous exposure to selling cannabis products is a plus. Top notch customer service and consultative skills will be needed in this role. Your knowledge of, and passion for, wellness and wellness products will be why you love your position! Must have previous marketing experience preferably in a retail setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Follow Grow West MD, LLC Policies & Procedures, SOP and fully comply with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission regulations of COMAR
- Provide expertise and knowledge to patients and explain the potential benefits of each product sold pertaining to strains of therapeutic cannabis
- Continuing cannabis education and maintaining up-to-date product knowledge
- Provide expertise and knowledge regarding therapeutic cannabis administration methods, effects and uses
- Provide input to patient and caregiver questions and provide a resource to assist in their therapeutic cannabis concerns
- Assist in the patient intake process, maintaining confidential patient paperwork and patient records
- Maintain private and confidential, sensitive patient information, must always be HIPPA compliant
- Receive, prepare and complete patient orders and sales utilizing point of sale inventory tracking and record keeping system
- Handling cash payments and entering transactions into dispensary POS system
- Assist in maintaining a stocked, clean and properly operational store
- Work in a team environment with close coordination of other patient care advisors
- Identify unique needs of each individual patient by demonstrating compassion, empathy and sensitivity
- Liaise between patients and Grow West management to continually improve the customer experience
- Ability to immediately address any customer conflict or complaint, inspiring long-term patient relationships and company loyalty
- Utilize Grow West MD, LLC record keeping system to maintain and manage patient records and inventory
- Ability to assist in opening and closing duties upon request
- Other duties as needed

- Experience: 1-2 years of related experience. Cannabis knowledge is a must!

Role
In this role, your main responsibility will be to assist patients in selecting appropriate medical cannabis products for their needs and are the product expert on duty at the store. Patient Care Advisors engage in one-on-one interaction with patients from the time they walk in until they check out and exit the store. Responsibilities

*Help all patients in accordance with Sanctuary’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives. *Follow established policies for sales and customer service to ensure patient satisfaction. *Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store. *Help patients make the right choices by knowing how different methods of cannabis consumption affect our patients differently and suggesting dosage starting points and upward titration for inexperienced patients. *Complete any work assigned during scheduled shift including: *Correct cash handling and discount application *Verification of proper paperwork, documentation and ID for patients *Accurate use and maintenance of the Point Of Sale (POS) system; Accurate and timely data entry of patient profiles in both the POS system and the state's electronic verification system *Maintenance of hard copy files (when required) *Security measures and safety compliance *Maintenance of an organized and clean store *Management of visitor log *Maintenance of open communication with the management team and other coworkers *Reporting of employee issues or patient situations *Provide any necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including: daily activities, maintenance, and patient information for any reported issues and/or complaints.
Qualifications

Balance cash drawer by auditing cash at beginning and end of shift to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
Manage oversight and chain-of-custody of all products within assigned workstation.
Clean and stock the sales floor.
Maintain compliance regarding the management of patient records and all materials containing patient personally identifiable information.

- Dispenses regulated products in compliance with state dispensing limitations, including limits on the quantity dispensed, limits on the form or dosage of medical marijuana, limits on the types of products dispensed, and/or the frequency of purchases
- Stocks, merchandises, and replenishes displays of regulated and unregulated inventory
- Completes all sales by entering accurate data for each transaction in the business management software platforms in compliance with company policies and state dispensing limitations
- Verifies the identity of patients and caregivers, physician’s recommendations (including form or dosage recommendations), and the validity of the patient or caregiver identification card prior to sale
Requirements
- Providing a personal experience to every medical cannabis patient in a non-judgmental and educational environment
- Working in compliance with HIPAA guidelines to manage patient confidentiality
- Dedication to helping Nevada medical marijuana community find the best products for their different needs
- Strong computer skills, point of sale software and cash management knowledge.
- Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to resolve matters in a professional manner.
- Prior customer service, healthcare, or hospitality
- Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a state and federal criminal background check
- High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required for all positions
- Knowledge of cannabis plant varieties and uses a plus

Ponderosa Releaf is a growing medical marijuana retail storefront. We are well known for our exotic flower (copper-top) strains, superb products and pricing, and exceptional customer service. We are looking to add a team member who is always looking to further their knowledge in this business with excellent customer service/retail experience (marijuana industry experience is always a plus but not required), open availability, and a great attitude. *The shift that we are hiring for is the evening shift, which is 2:00pm-9:30pm. This availability when applying is required. Candidates must also be comfortable with being trained and scheduled for reception shifts in addition.*
Job Summary
Patient Care Advisors welcome customers with an exceptional service mindset and assist with assessing patient needs. Patient Care Advisors provide guidance on product and pricing information. The Patient Care Advisor is an ambassador for our company and represent the very best we offer.
Responsibilities and Duties
Welcome visitors and patients by warmly greeting them, in person or on the telephone; check patient’s state allowance with Arizona Department of Health Services Verification System, and answer or direct inquiries through proper channels when needed.
Operate a cash register. Itemize and total purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items.
Provide Arizona medical marijuana patients educational resources and information on the strains, methods of administration, effects, and precautions related to their consumption of medical marijuana products.
Accurately process payments from customers; issue receipts, refunds, credits, and provide customers cash change when necessary.
Weigh and record product quantities with precision and accuracy.
Establish or identify prices of goods and/or services; tabulate costs and/or promotional pricing using calculator, cash register, and/or optical price scanners.
Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to generate business for dispensary.
Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment.
Balance cash drawer by auditing cash at beginning and end of shift to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
Manage oversight and chain-of-custody of all products within assigned workstation.
Clean and stock the sales floor and lobby.
Maintain compliance regarding the management of patient records and all materials containing patient personally identifiable information.
Adequately and professionally complete production shifts. This includes pre-packing marijuana, rolling pre-rolls, cleaning and maintaining the production area, correctly tag items for the sales floor, and work on future production projects.
Answer phones and direct patients to the right products and education.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous retail experience; cannabis sales experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS office products and POS (cashier) systems
- Proficiency handing cash register arithmetic and calculating weight conversions
