ROLE SUMMARY
The IPM Spray Technician requires a hands-on approach to assist in shaping the culture of Trulieve. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a large cannabis cultivation facility.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspecting all plants/rooms in every facility throughout the company
- Taking notes on and assessing plant health, pest issues and cleanliness of grow rooms for daily reports by email as well as the Trulieve SharePoint
- Taking plant samples for inspection to identify pests or plant health issues
- Maintaining a good relationship with staff and management to more effectively solve issues or avoid problems within grow facilities
- Researching pests and plant health issues and how to better deal with them in a compliant manner
- Work independently with excellent time management skills to inspect all rooms in facilities before light cycle switches off
- Verbal presentations for weekly management meetings
- Maintain equipment necessary for the completion of all tasks
- Alerting the staff as to the location of any identified pest or problem in grow rooms, also providing written instructions as to where said pests are found
- Complete spray applications as assigned by management
- All other duties as assigned

IPM Technicians are responsible for all hands-on applications of integrated pest management (IPM) including mixing and appying pesticides, pest and pathogen monitoring and identifiction, cleaning and sanitation activities. The IPM Technician reports directly to the Cultivation Lead.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, pull and balance up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assitance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants.
- This position requires prolonged standing (up to 8 hours) and some bending, stooping, sitting and stretching for extended periods of time while maintaining focus - some movement may be repetitive.
- Must be able to follow basic instructions and ability to take constructive criticism from their managers to maintain quality standards and production goals.
- Possess basic understanding of the cannabis laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state.
- Must have fundamental knowledge and familiarity with pesticide and handling, as well as the laws governing pesticide use; strong working knowledge of pest and disease control.
- Must communicate, interact, and work effectively with others; receptive to feedback and coaching; voices concerns in a constructive manner.
- Current MED badge REQUIRED or ability to obtain prior to starting work.
- Excellent vision and hearing is required.
- Current Colorado Private Applicator License holder preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Must have organization and planning skills, ability, to work in a complex, fast-paced enviroment.
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale and do basic math is required.
- Must PASS a medical evaluation for respirator use as required by the Colorado Dept. of Agriculture.
- Must PASS repirator training and be fit tested for proper fit. (NO facial hair allowed)
- Ability to be flexible and take on the most necessary tasks of the department as needed and/or requested by their direct supervisor; this may include but is not limited to, helping grow staff with small tasks, cleaning and/or moving supples and equipment and/or helping packaging department or working at other locations as needed.

- Be innovative in terms of implementing new methods that can improve efficiency and effectiveness of work portfolio.

Job Description
Spray Technician: Responsibilities
This position involves continuous upkeep and improvement of plant health through foliar application of organic compounds. One is expected to mix/apply fertilizer recipes and adhere to pest management regimens. Regular preventative maintenance of equipment is required to ensure proper mechanical function. Chemical inventory control, storage and proper handling are routine. Applicants must promote and sustain a safe work environment. Constant growth and development are required to expand understanding of how foliar applications impact plant, human, and farm health. One is expected to identify pest, environmental and cultivation issues that are threatening plant health. Respectful and constant communication with various departments is critical. Personal protective equipment must be worn when necessary. Persistent adherence to regulations governing foliar application is mandatory.
Greenhouse Technician
Secondary functions of the position include but are not limited to aiding in plant cultivation in a greenhouse or field setting. One will work alongside and under the supervision of management to ensure the health and success of the crop.
Qualifications
