Job purpose
- The purpose of the LABORATORY PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN is to produce high quality Cannabis-based concentrates, and other products of value, utilizing various pieces of equipment, processing techniques, and methods of extraction. Duties and responsibilities
- Manage, evaluate, and designate raw Cannabis plant material into various production batches.

Position Overview:
The Production Laboratory Technician is responsible for assisting in the extraction and refinement of cannabinoids and terpenes from cannabis plant material. This position will require the application of chemical and physical separation techniques using state of the art equipment.

Cannvital is looking to fill a position for our production team. The preferred candidate will have had at least 1 year of experience with cannabis or hemp extraction within a professional and/or commercial environment and familiar with current cannabis and hemp extraction techniques. Personality, skillset, and professionalism all play a large part in our selection. You will be joining a small, tight-knit team that operates in close quarters.  
Reliable transportation to and from the facility.  
Job Duties include but are not limited to:   
- Preparing equipment and crude oil for distillation.
- Preparing equipment and distillate for crystallization  
- Operating Distillation equipment  
- Operating Isolation Equipment
- Work with the Department Supervisor and Production Manager to facilitate optimum production and to meet facility sales demands and forecasts  
- Regular cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment and facility.  
- Weigh extract, prepare samples and precipitation for isolation and testing.  
- Promote programs and automation to produce in a cost-effective manner, employing economy while maintaining an acceptable level of quality  
- Inventory and record keeping of lab equipment. Maintain inventory records of supplies, materials, and temperatures of machinery.  
- Assist laboratory and equipment cleanup. Wash and sterilize lab surfaces and glassware.  
- General routine maintenance on lab equipment. Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and regular data logging.  
- Maintain and log all data sheets for chemicals and products.

Job Description:
Lab Production and Packaging Technicians will be responsible for turning received oils from the extraction department and creating concentrates. Also responsible for the accurate handling and the sorting, packing, planning, and labeling of outgoing shipments for the Company.
Duties:
- Creating wax
- Filling and Packaging distillate cartridges
- Overseeing purge ovens
- Flipping slabs of shatter
- Sugar/crystal production.
- Maintain laboratory and equipment cleanliness to meet the state and local requirements
- Works with Inventory Manager to review, and confirm orders are in stock to ship
- Packaging and Labeling Accuracy
- Assists in QA inquiries, with Director of Safety and Quality Control
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Arizona Department of Health Services and company policies in the areas he/she operates
- Must pass all needed all background requirements to obtain a state dispensary agent card
- Must not have been convicted of any disqualifying felonies as defined in A.R.S. §36-2801
- Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures
- Excellent computer, mathematic, language, and reasoning skills.
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a digital scale.
- Experience in marijuana growing, cultivating, and trimming preferred
