The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, including oversight of the departments within, such as customer service, inventory, sales, and security. The GM also has store-level responsibility for accounting, compliance, recordkeeping, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations by coordinating and facilitating all the store’s transactions and processes
- Open and/or close the store, and ensure the duties of all staff are completed

Requirements
Education, Training, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in retail management, or commensurate experience
- Cannabis related certifications, courses, or trainings preferred
- Must have a complete understanding of the federal, state, and municipal rules and regulations regarding the sale and consumption of cannabis
- Must complete all trainings provided by management
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated passion to serve the medical and recreational cannabis community
- Advanced knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products
- Cannabis industry experience desired, but not required
- Experience with managing a retail facility a must
- Proven ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong operational skills in fast-paced and customer service environments
- Knowledge of effective inventory management

- Own all HR functions; interviewing (in-person, virtually), candidate evaluations, new hire on-boarding, scheduling, payroll, performance management, and team development
- Manage product inventory by working closely with the Purchasing and Leadership team to ensure all inventory levels are meeting store and customer satisfaction
- Provide feedback and solutions to meet all customer satisfaction needs throughout the entire customer service journey; in-store or post reviews
- Responsible for opening and closing duties for the dispensary per company SOPS
- Ensure all marketing and visual updates are executed in a timely manner
- Successfully complete all company reports and paperwork including but not limited to new hire paperwork, I9 forms, expense reports
- Ability to analyze reports, store/company goals, budgets, and effectively use this information to plan, forecast store needs, and achieve results
- Ensure accuracy in daily deposits, cash handling and management
- Clearly communicate with all patients/customers, employees, management, support team, executive team, and vendors both written and verbal
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional work environment; including but not limited to stock room, sales floor, breakroom, bathroom, and all other store property
- Schedule all facility maintenance needs through company approved vendors; follow up and ensure needs are completed to store and company satisfaction

REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills)

- Must be 21 years of age or older

WHAT IS THE JOB?
The General Manager will ensure customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively. This role will also oversee the retail location, its staff and activities to achieve a profitable store location. - Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, or high-traffic times.

- Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.
- Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates orders.
- Develops, oversees, and maximizes retail budget and product inventory, purchasing, and sales.
- Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
- Uses company software to research, analyze, and track purchases.

- Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Hires and trains retail staff.
