When not assisting their fellow citizens, Advisors are responsible for keeping the chapter clean and orderly, including keeping bathrooms presentable and well stocked. Advisors will also sometimes work reception. This includes greeting guests, checking newcomers in, answering any questions they may have and ensuring that citizen profiles are up to date and correct. Advisors may also be called upon to assist with inventory.
Finally, as with everyone at Common Citizen, Advisors are expected to contribute to the Common Citizen movement to end the stigma and liberate all people through cannabis.
What You Will Be Doing
Creating an unparalleled customer service experience for our guests, your fellow citizens, that leaves them feeling well cared for, including but not limited to:
- Consistently exceptional customer service
- Strong long-term relationship-building
- Following the Common Citizen advisor protocol
- Providing problem-solving sales assistance, including upselling & cross-selling when it is to your fellow citizens benefit
- Generating references, referrals & repeat visits
- Simple math & data entry
- POS system entries
- Regulatory compliance (ie. LARA. Metrc)
Staying current with cannabis knowledge in order to educate & serve with excellence, including:
- Cannabis plant and product form knowledge
- The Common Citizen product offerings
- Hosting or participating in educational events, onsite & offsite
The Experience You Bring
- A minimum of X years in a customer service role in a retail environment
- Personal experience with cannabis â although not required, ideally you are a current medical cannabis patient in the state of Michigan
- A background in healthcare, social work or related fields is also preferred

JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a Customer Engagement Advisor to join our corporate Retail team in Chicago, IL. We are looking for a Customer Engagement Advisor who can enhance our Cresco Labs brands and customer service. The Customer Engagement Advisor will be responsible for the management of Cresco Labs' online communities' involvement and customer service responses. They will work with Cresco Labs corporate brands and retail accounts to ensure up to date and adequate information is being shared with patients, customers, and the online public.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Communicates with customers via social media, e-mail, and telephone to assist with customer inquiries and issues.
- Monitor social media accounts (E.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) for questions & comments about our products and services
- Provides customers with clear directions to resolve product and retail-related concerns
- Resolves customer issues with effective problem-solving skills
- Effectively manages the customers feedback system by documenting interactions and conversations with customers in an organized and streamlined way.
- Escalate issues and close resolution loops with cross-functional departments
- Maintain excellent records and logs of all interactions
- Helps build online communities through meaningful interactions with customers, industry professionals, and influencers
- Maintains excellent knowledge of our products, retail practices and other services in order to understand the customer's needs.
- Monitor industry news for relevant updates and shareable information
- Any other duties as assigned by the Retail Support leadership
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- 2+ years working in a community management and/or customer service role
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as necessary
- Experience responding to customers on behalf of brands
- Experience with responding to reviews (e.g. Google, Facebook, Trip Advisor, etc.) is preferred
- Familiar with the utility and function of Salesforce, or a similar customer service platform
- Familiar with the utility and function of Sprout, or a similar social platform
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Marketing or Communications is preferred
- Genuine interest in and passion for the cannabis industry is preferred
- Adaptive to change, tight deadlines, and can work with a sense of urgency
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
