We're looking to hire a talented Social Media Manager who can run and grow our social media accounts with a focus on expanding our reach and developing our “voice.” The Social Media Manager would be responsible for designing and sourcing content, planning, creating and executing social campaigns with clear goals and pre-defined KPIs.
The Social Media Manager must be a self-starter able to thrive in an environment where they could be wearing multiple hats, including database, account management, content creation, and influenced outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all social media accounts.
- Craft engaging campaigns that align with current marketing and business development efforts.
- Conceptualize and design digital content for social media and email campaigns
- Schedule and post content on social media (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube).
- Report weekly on the performance of your social media campaigns by using A/B testing and analytics tools.
- Create and foster interactions between social media users and our brand.
- Develop fresh and unique ideas for social media content.
- Collaborate with other departments to create synergistic strategies.
- Have a finger on the pulse of the latest social media trends.
- Maintain VSV Mutual database by ensuring a high quality of data.
-Weekly reports showing work done, growth, outlines for following week to reach current goals.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of social media marketing experience.
- BA or BS in a Communications or related degree preferred (not mandatory).
- Experience with all major social media platforms, including (but not limited to) Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Youtube, and LinkedIn.
- Have an interest or love for metric-driven marketing strategy.
- Extremely passionate about social media.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work fast and wear multiple hats in a, dynamic, and team-oriented startup environment
- Superior organization skills in-order to order priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
- Expert knowledge in design thinking, content management, and the creative development process
- Foundational knowledge of SEO
- Experience working remotely and in house
- Can demonstrate high level of creativity and activity in social media output
Proven background in professionally running social media pages is a must. Please include the following: accounts you have managed, artistic portfolio, resume, personal pages, if applicable, and any other information you see fit.
We are a quickly growing company and there works be a lot of work to do. Position may start part time but will be dependent on your skill set and background.

The Herbal Center is looking for a Social Media & Content Manager who has a passion for all things cannabis - especially, the cannabis lifestyle. You’ll lead The Herbal Center's social media efforts across various channels, pushing to grow our social following and building on our position in the cannabis community.
Data-driven strategy and content creation will be big parts of the job, whether it’s an idea for a social post, writing an article for an email, or working with the design team on a social post or story. Cannabis industry experience highlight preferred.
This ideal candidate will be a cannabis and social media pro, well versed in cannabis, cannabis products, and our brand.
He/she/they will also be a data scientist - understand the ins-and-outs of managing social media accounts, including platform algorithms, best practices for developing platform strategies, creating the client experience to increase increasing follower growth, engagement, loyalty, and sales.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day social media posting
- Develop content calendars for posting social and other content
- Create or assist with content development and production
- Engage The Herbal Center followers as a cannabis expert and voice of The Herbal Center
- Engage strategically with the cannabis community in various social media platforms
- Monitor customer sentiment across all channels and take action as needed
- Excellent understanding of social media marketing and proven ability to execute campaigns across marketing initiatives, including experience with multiple social media platforms
Qualifications
- Experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
- Knowledge of emerging/alternate social platforms and forums
- Proficiency in various social media management and email platforms
- Expert-level knowledge of cannabis and related products
