We are looking for a talented up and coming video editor to gather and assemble recorded footage into a finished project for hemp and cannabis-based footage. Responsibilities
- Gather, manipulate and edit film pieces for viral video ads
- Grasp production teamâs needs and specifications
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenesâ value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industryâs best practices to maximize efficiency
Skills
- Any work experience as a video producer or editor is a huge plus
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut are preferred but not required.
- Demonstrable video editing with a strong portfolio will get our attention for sure
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills are a major plus
- Having or in the progress of earning a Bachelorâs degree or certification in film studies, cinematography or related field preferred but not necessary.
