Duties Include:

• Perform security patrols of external and internal areas of locations.
• Monitor surveillance and security alarm systems.
• Provide assistance to business owners in emergency situations.
• Keep detailed logs and records of incidents at assigned locations.
• Other duties assigned by Silver Star Protection Management

Qualifications:

• Military or law enforcement background preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Must be able to obtain a Cultivation/Dispensary Identification Card.
• Must have or be able to obtain the applicable Municipal Armed Security Licenses.
• Good credit record.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• A professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to stand and or sit for extended periods of time.

Licensing:

Silver Star Protection Group will provide armed security licenses following this breakdown.

• If employed with Silver Star Protection Group for less than three months, the entire amount (100%) will be deducted from paycheck.
• If employed for three months only 75% of the overall cost will be deducted from paycheck.
• If employed for six months 50% of the overall cost will be deducted from paycheck.
• If employed for nine months 25% of the overall cost will be deducted from paycheck.
• If employed for one full calendar year Silver Star Protection Group will cover the entire cost of your armed security license.
• Should you fail to stay employed with Silver Star Protection Group for the full calendar year, you will be subject to a $30 fee and sent to collections.

• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.

• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.

• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and evict violators from premises.

• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.

• Inspect security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.

SUMMARY: Responsible for properly executing security duties on assigned shift, to adequately protect the life and property of guests and employees for the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, employees and/or the facility.

• Escorts and observes guests and employees, to ensure their safety and protection; identifies potential safety hazards and report same to the appropriate individual, for proper resolution.
• Interacts with guests and employees in a positive, professional manner.

• Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.

• Maintains a series of keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.

• Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the age of twenty-one, to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
• Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all employees, by always setting positive examples.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• If employed for six months 50% of the overall cost will be deducted from paycheck.
• If employed for nine months 25% of the overall cost will be deducted from paycheck.
• If employed for one full calendar year Silver Star Protection Group will cover the entire cost of your armed security license.
• Should you fail to stay employed with Silver Star Protection Group for the full calendar year, you will be subject to a $30 fee and sent to collections.

Duties Include

• Manage subordinate staff at Silver Star Protections Group client locations.
• Manage client relationships.
• Prepare, manage and oversee a daily/weekly and monthly schedule for subordinates.
• Prepares and implements security plans (post orders) at client locations. .
• Ensure existing staff completes mandatory continuing education.
• Ensures subordinate staff keeps all licensing and certifications up to date.
• Cultivates and develops new business opportunities and relationships.
• Conducts randomized inspections of officers at client locations.
• Maintains equipment and uniform inventory.
• Ensure the client site is provided with high-quality security services and build and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees
• Drive the organization’s culture, processes, practices, and systems
• Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations
• Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities, account trends, and other topics
• Responsible for tracking and effective utilization of company equipment in the field including technology, vehicles, etc.
• Stays current on federal, state, and local guidelines relative to our services
• Administer the job evaluation program
• Develop and maintain effective employee, employer relations
• Develop talent acquisition solutions to meet client demands for security solutions. Recruit for vacant security officer positions throughout the company
• Stay informed on human resources developments, employment laws and regulations and policy implications to company
• Manage all overtime, develop solutions to minimize overtime
• Develop a network of potential future hires (e.g. past applicants and referred candidates)
• Ensure compliance with HR rules and regulations
• Manage and resolve HR related issues as assigned
• Utilize analytics to conducts research, approve, and make further recommendations for appropriate learning management systems and databases
• Train new and existing staff
• Cultivates and develops new business opportunities and relationships
• Represents Silver Star at meeting and conferences
• Maintain employee files in a manner consistent with state laws

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Skills

• Proven experience as security officer or guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

Qualifications:

• Military or law enforcement background preferred.
• Must have a valid PERC card and 20-hour unarmed security training.
• Must have an Original Firearm Training Certificate, issued by IDFPR; and have completed a re-qualification within the past 12 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Must be able to obtain a Cultivation/Dispensary Identification Card.
• Good credit record.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• A professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to stand and or sit for extended periods of time.
