Job Summary
The Environment, Health, and Safety Coordinator (EHS Coordinator) is a full-time position with Ascend. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for managing the sites Health and Safety Plan (HASP) and ensuring all employees are working in a healthy and safe work environment. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the site follows, and adheres to, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines. The EHS Coordinator works with the Site General Manager and EHS Manager in implementing and monitoring health protocols as promulgated by the site as they relate to infectious and communicable disease. This role possesses a high attention to detail, a strong technical and operational aptitude, and the ability to proactively seek out and develop creative solutions to challenges as they arise. This position reports to the EHS Manager, with a dotted line to the Site General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Help to plan and implement OHS policies and programs
- Help to implement and monitor adherence to the sites Emergency Disaster Response Plan (EDRP)
- Observe all OSHA, Federal, State, and local compliance rules and maintain required records
- Assist with the development of a Health and Safety Plan (HASP) for the site
- Advise, lead, and train employees on various safety-related topics
- Monitor incidents of injury and complete all required documentation and notifications
- Develop a routine safety inspection and verification schedule to ensure that all guards and safety devices are in place, operational, haven't been overridden and communicate with management to effect repairs and necessary staff retraining if indicated
- Implement proper training materials for all employees including management and deliver those through various means including educational seminars, webinars, and signage
- Adhere to all rules and regulations as set forth in all SOPs, protocols, and policies
- Work with the Site HR to set up an employee on-boarding process for safety training
- Enforce preventative measures for the physical workplace, environment, and staff
- Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
- Monitor and enforce policies to ensure that all employees are adhering to relevant rules and regulations
- Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations, determine causes, create solutions, and oversee implementation of corrective measures
- Confirm that all workplace repair or safety system installations related to health, safety and environment are completed in a timely manner
- Act as a first responder to emergency situations that involve an injury to ensure that proper procedure is followed while awaiting medical personal
Requirements and Qualifications
- Associates preferred in safety management or similar field or equivalent occupational experience
- 1+ years of experience as an Environment, Health and Safety or similar role preferred
- Active certification in occupational health and safety preferred or acquirable
- Knowledge of laws and regulations that govern occupational health and safety
- Knowledge of Ergonomic practices would be a plus
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

The Role

Safety Coordinator
The Sunday Goods Retail Team is looking for a highly motivated, aspirational, detail-oriented and passionate Security officer to join our family. The Safety Coordinator serves in the development, implementation and administration of internal facility security functions including maintaining customer security requirements. The Security officer may also act as the parking attendant to ensure smooth traffic flow in parking lot and safety. Observe and report are the main duties as a Safety Coordinator.

Day in the Life

Job Summary
The Health & Safety Coordinator will design and implement policies, procedures and ongoing training to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Additionally, this role will investigate workplace injuries, illnesses, and maintain organizational OSHA reports.
Essential Functions

- Implements inspection policies and procedures, schedules routine inspections and develops action items for continual improvement
- Implements health and safety procedures for all areas of the company
- Schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics such as proper hazardous material storage, disposal and handling
- Monitors compliance with safety procedures and investigates incidents
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings and implements corrective actions for improvement
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required
- Conducts weekly, monthly and quarterly safety meetings/training with all departments
- Coordinates fire sprinkler tests weekly including replenishment of diesel (backup system)
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of regulations and policies relating to employee safety and health
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Google Suite similar software
- Experience with OSHA 300 reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Masters degree desirable

- Experience working in the CPG/ manufacturing industry within a cGMP facility
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Working Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and at times will be working in a cGMP manufacturing plant setting as well as cultivation bays. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role routinely uses standard agriculture equipment and employees may be required to gown into PPE before entering the cGMP manufacturing areas and/or the greenhouse facilities. Temperatures and conditions will be similar to most greenhouses: around 80 degrees F and 55% humidity. Employees will be exposed to fresh cannabis plants, and cannabis plant material. They will also be subject to loud noise from fans, pumps, and motors.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. They will also need to use legs and feet to be able to climb and crouch as needed.

The Safety Training Coordinator will assist with leading the Company’s efforts to maintain a healthy and safe work environment for all employees. The position will assist with maintaining adherence to applicable laws pertaining to safe workplace standards, while ensuring regulatory compliance with all laws governing the industry.

- 5+ years of verifiable work experience in a safety-supervisory role, preferably in the cannabis industry, or related field, including experience with General Industry Safety Orders or regulations
- Diploma or Certificate of Completion of General Education Studies from an accredited high school

We are looking for an experienced Food Safety and Sanitation Coordinator in Clackamas, OR who embraces the Wyld culture.
Summary
The Food Safety and Sanitation Coordinator is committed to ensuring the highest level of product integrity and food safety at all Wyld facilities. This individual is responsible for the development, maintenance, and documentation of food safety programs and policies to ensure they comply with all corporate policies, pertinent government regulations, certification requirements, and customer expectations. Together with the production team, and members of the Research and Development Team, the Food Safety and Sanitation Coordinator will implement policies and train employees creating a positive and effective culture of food safety.
Duties and responsibilities
- Implement Food Safety Plan according to HACCP and cGMP standards
- Draft, revise, finalize comprehensive food safety and sanitation policy documents, job aids and work instructions
- Maintain food safety and sanitation documentation and records in an organized and efficient manner
- Performs daily food safety procedures while assisting in overseeing food safety programs
- Work with operations staff to effectively implement food safety and sanitation policies
- Under the direction of the Director of R&D, respond to food safety concerns at all company facilities with efficient and effective short and long-term solutions
- Develop valuable training programs and assist in regular training of all employees in food safety and sanitation
- Perform GMP and food safety training for contractors and service providers, as well as serving as an escort
- Perform root cause analysis and other continuous improvement functions with regard to food safety and sanitation concerns
- Oversees and leads non-conforming reporting and ensures that corrective actions are completed
- Acquire and maintain food safety lab equipment and tools
- Verifies SOP and production food safety startup records
- Follows applicable laboratory GMPs, SOPs, and food safety policies
- Act as knowledgeable resource for food safety and sanitation questions and inquiries
- Plans and coordinates food safety and sanitation meetings with Operations staff
- Maintains training documentation, audits, and meetings
- Works with internal purchasing personnel to ensure raw materials meet food safety standards
- Works with Director of R&D to ensure food safety related customer requests and audits are completed in a timely fashion
- Actively participates in and helps coordinate regular food safety plan audits and mock recalls
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, field relevant to food safety
- At least 3-5 years of related experience/training within a food manufacturing environment
- PCQI and HACCP certification required
- SQF certification and experience preferred
- Working knowledge of GFSI and FSMA standards
- Knowledge of food microbiology, food safety, and food defense required
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S or Kaizen preferred
- Strong aptitude for data, regulatory and policy analysis and reporting
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with business partners and all levels of management
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and experience writing SOPs and job instructions
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and respond positively to changes in daily duties and workload
- Ability to meet all deadlines
- Strong attention to detail is critical as well as the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance assurance
- Can work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, data analysis, Google Apps
- Active Oregon Liquor Control Commission (“OLCC”) marijuana worker permit
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
- Occasional travel required between buildings and sites

SUMMARY This is a great opportunity to join HERBL Distribution Solutions. This job is focused on securing HERBL’s properties, protecting its employees and guests while delivering exceptional customer service. The command center coordinator will be responsible for managing the overall OSHA program for the site along with managing all emergencies; monitoring safety and security of the HERBL campus; generating reports; reviewing video; answering digital intercom; fielding phone calls, and a variety of other basic security tasks. As such, any candidate must have operator level proficiency with Avigilon access control and CCTV systems. Operators must be able to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- OSHA safety/security coordinator must be able to conduct accident and incident investigations, determine probable causes and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Must be skilled at running accident prevention and fire safety programs for the organization
- Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Advises VP of Loss Prevention/Safety on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
- Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices.

- Strong understanding of security equipment (Avigilon) and software as it relates to access control, CCTV and alarm systems.

- Monitor physical security systems and respond/coordinate response to safety and security issues on campus and for drivers on delivery routes.
- Facilitate and coordinate information exchange during all emergencies or vehicle accidents working closely with the routing and dispatch team members
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality thorough internal investigations; partner with LP & Human Resources to address employee behavior and take corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all identified theft activity and related follow up; disseminate and communicate reporting as necessary.
- Assist leadership in promoting awareness campaigns/communication centers on shortage and safety control measures; regularly participate in key meetings and recognition program activities.
- Maintain surveillance on high risk deliveries and driver safety using remote CCTV applications.
